Whether on the internet or in real life, I find memes to be annoying, especially when they are inserted in a nice discussion in a thread. All of a sudden, the discussion becomes people parroting memes and posting demotivational posters.

Some phrases that particularily annoyed me due to hearing them almost daily at one point or another:
"Waazzup" from Scary Movie
"They set us up the bomb" from some poorly translated game.
"My Precioussssssss" People imitating Golum from Lord of the Rings.
"I did it for the Lolz"... this one is still not dead.
"The Cake is a lie" Portal.
Ninja'ed. Not sure where that is from, but it is in practically every thread on this site.
Someone mentioned earlier the troll face and I do agree. It just looks gross, like a mush pile.

"You win the internets"

The list can go on and on, but those ones irk me due to their long longevity.

Trolling and bigotry comments (especially anti lgbt ones) make me sad. This whole idea that people have anonymity, they feel the need to make someone else feel awful. They usually try to "justify" it by saying 'it's for the lolz" which ties in with my weariness of memes.

I hate when I see comments on youtube or other places that are obviously suburbanite white kids, yet they try to act "street".

I also hate the bastards who leave this when they see a video they don't like: "dis vido is teh ghey!!!11!!11!"

Console vs PC
Atheists and Religious Fanatics
Furries and Furry Haters
Anime haters and Anime fans
JRPG fans and haters
Games as art

I may agree with one side, but everyone just acts like a serious asshole. If you take a side on any of these arguments, you are either a troll, have too much spare time, or are a fanboy.

I can tolerate the Portal jokes, I like most memes, some Youtube comments are funny, and people use all sorts of hyperbole on the internet.

I can take the attempts at humor. It's when people decide TEH INTRNET IS SRS BZNUZ that I just roll my eyes and move on.

PS: Also, advertisements. They ruined TV, they were annoying as pop-ups, they're even worse now.

Extremest views that people refuse to accept rationalization to.

In the long run, no one cares about someone's extremest views if they aren't willing to debate them in a calm, orderly manner, or accept when they have been out-matched.

I have no problem with extremest views, as even I have a few. I do have a problem with people blurting them, and not having the ability to rationalize their thinking/speak about them in a peaceful atmosphere.

People actually laugh at comments on the Internet? I always thought it was just one of those cases where people go "Heh." and continue on with their lives. That all said, its not hilarious or anything, but you may be going a little over the top about all this.

They can occasionally be great, so yes you can laugh.

Ugh this is my big one. I swear I can't understand how their little life details grab more attention than a natural disaster.

I also hate pretty much all racist jokes, people who overreact to every little thing, people who think everyone who doesn't care about porn or sex in general is weird, people who write in slang they clearly don't use, and people bitching about things they don't understand.

Also, I can't stand people who associate liking or disliking certain media for being stupid. Entertainment is just something to pass time with. You are not smarter than others because they don't like what you find entertaining.

I think the number one thing that pushes my mouse up to the big red 'x' and away from the next page button is criticism via vulgar metaphors/similes/allegory/overdone pop culture references (they're nice for seasoning not substance). If something is completely irredeemable I can see it but it doesn't help stir up conversation. Just another ram headbutting contest in the Fanboys vs. Haters war which will only be resolved come Judgment Day. If then. Instead state what aspect(s) of the thing "was absolute shite" instead of the thing as a whole.
