What he says is true.

For me though, a certain game can drive my incentive to pick up a console I don't have, in the case of the PS3, it was God of War 3.

I only had a 360 for the longest time until I got a nice bit of disposable income and I really, REALLY wanted to play God of War 3, so I bought myself a PS3.

having the money and a decent back-list made me get a ps3 then again i wasn't really loyal to the 360 in first place it just the first console of this gen i got. I'm also a PC gamer when my computer allows it

I play the 360 because xbox's just had more games that I prefer. Not to mention I like the way the controller fits in my hand better. But if I were able to afford a PS3 and really wanted one Infamous, God of War series, and Shadow of the Colossus are the games I really want to play.

System loyalty? Isin't it better to have everything in order to experience everything and not just have to look at the other side of the fence?

I don't have a loyalty as such. I just bought a 360 because that is all I could afford. But in a hypothetical situation where I could buy a PS3 I would buy it for Uncharted 3 when it comes out later this year because I played number 2 on a friends console and that was an awesome game.

I have no loyalty, although I can't remember the last time I played my PS3 or my Wii.

If I hadn't had one already i'd have bought a 360 for Mass Effect though.

My loyalty to my box is based on fact that it is my only current console.

I will buy PS3 for fact that i prefer to have open choises when buying games

Edit: Noticed that link is fckd up so after it shows error page pick summary from english part for text i intented to link

I actually broke my "console loyalty" on two occasions first got a PS2 just because of MGS3, then a PS3 for MGS4.

If I was going to buy another console for one game, it would probably be a PS3 for LittleBig Planet 2

Screw console loyalty, if there are good games that interest me on any system then I will buy them (except the Wii, but I already have one so whatever.)

Are you just trolling here? Come on, im not gonna judge you, i just want to know.
It was a simplified statement but yes, I hold it to be true.

Console wars and brand loyalty come from having to make an exclusive decision based upon personal finance. If you can afford a 360, a PS3, a wii and a gaming PC then exclusives and "Which one is best" is a moot topic as you can simply buy the games you want on the system you feel serves that game the best.
This is 100% true.

As a PC gamer primarily (don't have to worry about backward compatability and I can play make games at 1080p) of the consoles I use my PS3 the most. Better exclusives (Infamous and GoW, Last Guardian eventually) and no multiplayer cost. Live is such a deal breaker, especially when I already have a PC, my 360 barely gets used, though on topic I bought if Ninja Gaiden 2 and Castle Crashers speciaifically. As for the Wii, that thing is stupid and motion controls are horrible for someone who want to actually play a game versus having their motion vagualy interpreted as some command, which is probably not what you meant. And if you tell me to just use the controller then why would I own a Wii?? Nintendo Games?? just play the NES/SNES versions back when they were original. Nintendo has been making the same 5-7 games for the last 20 years.

dokapon kingdom for the Wii, Me and my friends had loads of fun playing that game. We ended up playing until four in the morning, which is something we hadn't done since Warcraft III and even then we had played D&D and Halo in the same night, this was just pure from 7pm to 4 am fun with a single game, and we didn't even get close to finishing. (Darkling was a bit of a game ruiner though early in the the game someone got darkling due to them spending all their time playing on red chests to get the best items and leveling their character so when the emerged stronger than everyone and played that whole, all towns are neutral no one else has any equipment and I got that castle you were all fighting for earlier so I come out with more money, much stronger gear and a higher level than all of you guys... Kind of a game ruiner...

I DID break my system loyalty to Sony by buying a DS to play the world ends with you, which is a VERY refreshing game for a system that IMO is far inferior to the PSP, which as a poor person, acts as my MP3 player, my cellphone, my video player, and a tool to browse the internet, not to mention the slightly better than PS2 grade games.

I have considered breaking from my PS3 to the Wii for No more heroes as well which looks amazing, or at least it does on the Japanese version my friend has for the ps3

Well, I don't unplug my PS3 ... and that's the main reason I don't have an xbox (or tee hee .. watch TV).

Dance central looks so tempting, though .. I already have a kinect on my PC (to do some robotics experiments with).

well the only thing i dont have is the ds and the psp

used to have a psp..

however, for psp, i'd shell out for it just to get dissidia 2 (duodisem or w/e its called, I MUST HAS!)

also for ds, i'd shell out for the new pokemon games.period.

but regardless, not shelling out for either of those..

I want Mass Effect on the PS3.

No, I know Bioware released Mass Effect 2 on the PS3, but for the love of God, port Mass Effect 1 onto the PS3, don't take the lazy way out.
