My PSN and profile name for everything else is delta4062, coming from Republic Commando. Delta are the names of the squad members, and 40 and 62 are my two favourite ones. Scorch and Sev, it pisses me off when people see my name and say It's some Delta Force wannabe thing.

Mine comes from the name of a character in an original story I am working on. He's kind of a Darth Vader-type... good guy who goes bad in the service of an evil master only to be somewhat redeemed in the end.

It generated back around 2006 when I had first gotten a PC capable of playing... some games.

Key word is 'some' games. In specific, Final Fantasy XI. I needed a name for my character who was a Tarutaru and I wanted something unique but I couldn't drum up anything...

Sitting next to me was a copy of Okami, and one of my favorite characters in the game was Issun, especially near the end because of various spoiler reasons you should play to find out.

I put issun at the end and worked from there. I liked the name Kyo and I went with 'gi' to connect it together.

Thus, Kyogissun was created. I've been using it ever since because it's a bright and shining moment of creativity in my life.

As for my PSN ID, it's a combination of the same Okami, using just Oka and Kagamin, the nickname Konata from Lucky Star used for another main character. Oka-gamin. I would have gone with Kyogissun... Had I not lost my password and account info for the account with that name. >_<

Yeah, mimsysnark is what I use just about everywhere. It's from Lewis Carroll, who wrote the "Alice" books, as well as the epic poem "The Hunting of the Snark". I like the sound of "mimsy"--probably because it's so reminiscent of the word "whimsy"--and I love Carroll's works.
