This hasn't been said enough on this thread but what really makes me stick to PC is the mods, if you were to have a console with good mod support, I would buy the hell out of it.

A console that makes it easier for niche gamers to play online together. The 360 is rather lame when it comes to finding others to play online with. If it's isn't a popular IP like CoD, Fifa or Forza then getting a lobby full of gamers is rather rare for games that are older than a month.

While there is a friend system but it's inadequate for keeping niche gaming communities intact. What is needed is some sort of out of game club / group system. So ppl who like for example 2D brawlers can join a group form a lobby and transfer themselves to any 2D brawler any time they want. That way the community around a game doesn't disintergrate when there isn't enough ppl to fill the lobbies 27/7.

It would also go a long way to release the strangle hold of CoD and other popular MP games that ppl play because that what everybody else plays.

When 95% of games are multiplatform, Cross Platform play is also needed for MP games, with all these dead MP games splitting your userbase between hardware is foolhardy. I'ld rather niche MP games only release on one platform and only have a quarter of these available to me. 1 MP game with ppl playing is better than 100 multiplatform games that are dead.

The shmup genre is a great example of whats possible with exclusives and keep the playerbase on one system, there's so many high quality shmups on the 360 like those from CAVE and Treasure when the playerbase is tiny. 100k sales of a shmup is considered a run away hit.

No charging devs 10k to patch their game like MS and Sony does. It's a massive ball and chain around niche new IPs that need the creases ironed out or competitive games that need a changing meta game to keep ppl interested.

A console that is more friendly with ppls home routers and less NAT problems. I've never had a problem with NAT on my PCs but consoles are constantly a problem.

Plus I wan't 1080p 60FPS lag free.

Plus a console with decent controllers that incudes a quality DPad not the junk that is on most analog pads. Wired versions is a must to cut down on lag. (like the PS3 doesn't). And MS can stop charging (taxing) Pad manufactures £10 - £20 on each controller.
