My favorite savory pie would be a tie between steak and mushroom pie and cheeze and onion tart (my mother hates leeks, so had to deviate from the recipe a bit there.) Also really love a good spinach quiche. My favoriet sweet pie would be a custard pie, I top mine with all kinds of things, from brandied pears, to gooseberries cooked down into syrups, but the best (so far) was the one I topped with red currants and champagne grapes soaked overnight in cognac.
