So the newest Fallout adventure came onto Live yesterday, i just got to download it and try it today, and while i apprecieate the work that Bethesda puts into their Downloadable content, i really must say that this was not worth 800 microsoft points.

a silenced assault rifle, a buzzsaw, and a 45 minute quest-line... exploring around, i saw everything there is to see, and got all the collectables i wanted, and was completely done with the pitt in about 2 hours.

i really hope broken steel makes up for this. i really liked anchorage, and was really looking forward to the Pitt, but after playing through it, i dont know if i should anticipate, or worry about the release of broken steel (the next expansion).

i really enjoyed fallout 3 as a whole, and i played through again before anchorage came out, and played it to death again. i was expecting a lot more from the Pitt/bethesda/800 points, but as soon as i had seen the 4 rooms that make up all of the Pitt, i ejected the fallout disc, and went back to res 5 and star ocean. nothing left to do but wait until Broken steel launches.

/rant end

I'm going to wait for multiple reviews to decide on this, I enjoyed Anchorage but I mean 800 points is a bit much.

I haven't downloaded any of them. I loved Fallout 3, but it seems to expensive for so little content. Especially when you stack it up to Lost and the Damned for GTA4...which was AMAZING and well worth $20. I'm just hoping the DLC for Fallout 3 goes on sale at some point.

Also...where do you go in the game to access the content for The PITT?

Bethesda has fallen into the bad habit of providing very poor value for the DLC dollar. If you're going to charge ten bucks for something, it better be longer than a couple hours and provide rewards commensurate with the price. I mean look at Knights of the Nine, fercryinoutloud. For your ten bucks there you got several hours of gameplay, a damn fine suit of armor (especially if you played it with a high-level character), and some expendable companions. That's what I expect from pay-for-play DLC.

Anchorage is better than the Pitt - in terms of length and rewards.

To access The Pitt: Just load up any game before doing the last mission, wander around and you'll get a radio signal. A quest marker will pop up and you can follow it, and the new characters/entrance to the area will be there.

Seriously though, it's not worth it at the moment. Wait until Bethesda (inevitably) package all three DLC's together at a discount, after checking them over for bugs. I got the PC version of the Pitt, and I noticed a lot of bugs (characters running on air, no speech when you talk to some NPC's, weapons turning invisible when holding them, bizarre and inappropriate reactions from NPC's - and once, a flying corpse, which happened on my second play through when I killed a character who was supposed to show up later, his corpse and severed head flew into the room and I couldn't continue the quest because he was dead).

I would worry about Broken Steel - The Pitt was far worse than Anchorage, and that's even after they delayed it.

Im not sure because I have not got it yet but with Operation Anchorage you got a radio signal by some outcast soldiers asking for help. And then you went to their outpost.

I have been anxiously awaiting the Pitt since it was announced. But yesterday I heard that there was problems with it. Have they been rectified?

$60 will get you at least 50 hours of content.
$10 only gets you 3 at the most.

Bethesda, fix your math skills. DLC are rip-offs. Actually, I think all single player DLC has been subpar. Even TLAD was only worth $10 at the most. Map packs, fine. But I wish developers get out of the habit of single player DLC and just put more work into the main product.

I'm not buying it, I love Fallout, but unless there is a severe price-drop, I'll do without.

So the DLC is lacking in content... it's not COMPLETELY void of entertainment though...

Are you all so pathetically cheap that 10$ is outrageously expensive?

How do you own consoles and PC's? I assume that if you don't have 10$ to throwaway on something, then you probably need to pawn your consoles and game gear off then.

Or smoke one less gram of pot the day a new DLC comes out...

Maybe get a job?

So indignant that he had to post it twice.

I have an alternative to the "smoke one less gram of pot" suggestion... why not buy in bulk and save?? A half-ounce is much cheaper overall, cost-to-weight-wise, than a dime bag.

On a related note, why buy individual DLC when you can wait until all three are bundled together and released as a discount package?

Or maybe $10 isn't worth 2 hours of gameplay.

It could be that.

Could be, except the majority of folks that are complaining are saying that 10$ is more than they can afford, not that 10$ is too much for 2 hours.

Got Anchorage and that was a good amount of gameplay. Thinking the Pitt will be good also, not to mention when I got Anchorage they added the achievement space for the Pitt and some others if I remember correctly. So I have to get it now....
