correct, but there is one more, the only pokemon that can evolve twice without haveing to level up, the pokemon that was near enough to impossible to get up to gen 4, where it was practically, no... it WAS given away, the pokemon that appeared in the anime only once and was forever banned from it from that point onwards! Feebas changes location whenever you restart the game, and appears in only 6 squares in one route.

Death reference first occured when Cubone was first introduced, as it wears it's mum's skull as a helmet. Marowak ghost is another reference, as is the whole lavender town pokemon tower. Hoenn's pokemon tower is another reference to death, although I forget it's name.
And if you really want to read into things, you killed your rival's Raticate in Gen I and III.
