Okay this just got my goat a little. I'm not a fan of the BBC much anymore but this just irritated me.

They need an opinion of a gamer for an article about the Duke Nukem release. And they find this creature (His name was in the article on BBC news so I figured it's okay to reproduce it):

James Matthews, 21, from Birmingham, is one of those who won't be buying the new game.

"I know what it is but I haven't heard a lot about it," he says. "I didn't know it was coming out.

"I like sporty games, Call of Duty games, that's all I really play."

Yeah. Core gamer demographic right there. And with a gaming CV as long as 'sporty games and COD'.... he was definitely a knowledgeable source for a review!

Hasn't heard a lot about DNF? 'Cos there's been no marketing for that...*cough...rage...splutter*.

Come now BBC, you just yelled 'whose got a X-Box slim 3 DS or whatever its called?' And then picked the first Muppet who said they played one. Once.

*Rage!*

im more than used to it. ive adapted to find amusement in how hilariously ignorant the press can get.

its much worse when the daily show cant even make a joke about some bit of gaming news without sounding woefully uninformed...

I guess it is kinda funny in a 'awww again?' kinda way. At least they aren't accusing us of causing whatever society's problem is this week. :D
