Chaotic Evil, never once have I been anything other. Honest. This goes for BG 1 + 2, ID 1+2, NWN 1+2, ToEE, PE:T and whatever.
It really boils down to what you like, really, I'm a really nice guy in real life, so when I play a game to have fun, I tend to make the choices I would be most unlikely to make myself.
I also distance myself from the characters in games, enjoying the humour and wickedness of all of it, rather than become a sucker for ethically correct choices.
Games are games, not alternate realities, play the way you think is more fun. I think being the evil badass is more fun, as thus makes the game more enjoyable. Being a do-gooder two shoes is cliché and boring.
