I fully agree OP, but if the solution to the problem is to expect everyone to change, it's not a solution. Steam does have the power to fix or at least mitigate the problems we face from the masses, but doesn't.

Being an asshole myself, I live by the sentiment "X would be great if it wasn't for all the fucking people". That pretty much applies well to everything I focus on, whether it be politics, art etc. So yes, I agree with your point.
