I don't know the other way is good too as you have someone come back for vengeance but whether or not is should end depends on the game setting if it suits the gritty vengeful ending.

True, but I spent the whole game connecting to that character. It's not a hate of the guy who killed my character, but the loss of the character that adds the drama. Like it's cool to get revenge and everything, but I think video games need more melancholic endings.
