Xbox dashboard is much better in my opinion, and it has fantastic live play. ALong with a fantastic controller that is basically made for my hands. PS3 controllers are way too small for my taste, and not one of my friends owns a PS3, and i hate to be alone

I've actually been thinking of getting a PS3 recently. It's not because I have an issue with my 360 though, it's because the PS3 finally has some exclusives that I want to play. You'll find a problem with any system you have eventually, because none of them are perfect. It's the games that make the system for me (as long as it's not the Wii, though why would it be?).

Trust me, I will find you they will find you.

OT: I'm not all that fussed. I don't own a PS3 so I cannot make a comparison between the two. I also do not have the Dashboard update for 360 as I do not have LIVE. I'll deal with these problems when I need to.

Speaking as someone who's played both, I prefer PS3. It's why I bought one. Contrary to popular belief, (looking at you, SantaUno) the XMB (say it right, it ain't a dashboard) is FAR more simplistic than people are making it out to be. Everything has it's own category, and while some of the more advanced functions (apparently Santa never thought to press the TRIANGLE button) escape some, it's fairly easy to figure out. Playing is easy and fun, and the only issue I have is with no changing in-game music and party chatting while playing different games. But guess what? Microsoft patented both of those, so it ain't happening.

Speaking of patents, since Nintendo takes out a patent on everything they make, I am surprised the PS3's Wand and the 360's Natal have made it this far...

X Box planned to have an immediate success. PS3 planned to come into its own as time dragged on. Were in the time where PS3 has come into its own. They are both equal at this point in time, X Box just had better initial sales to keep it going, and PS3 will have more powerful hardware. Its a very interesting horse race, but I think that in the console race, balls in the 360's court.

Christ. I knew it.
You cna never hide from the fanboys. Ever...
But why were you hiding in the first place?
Aheh... I have a bad reputation for badmouthing the Xbox.

I've made a new year's resolution not to blaspheme anymore.

See you in 2 months fanboys.
I never noticed. Ah, well.
See you in 2 months then.

I don't see the point in paying for Live. I mean, aren't all the online games p2p anyway? And XBL is a store, one filled with ads I hear.
What exactly are you paying for?

PC + PS3 = Awesome.
Same here. You don't miss much with that. Really, the only games I regret I can't play are Metroid Prime 3 and Lost Odyssey.

I've always wanted a PS3 but I bought a 360 to play with my friends. Even when it broke and I planned to buy a PS3 I still bought a 360 because they wanted to play on Live with me when I went off to college. I never played a single game with them and the 360 remained untouched save for playing Blazblue in the lobby with large groups of people.

Now I got a PS3 for Christmas. My 360 will be staying at home when I head back to college. Love the PS3's library of games and the online service is no slouch either. The PS3 is the superior system IMO.

It might be the booze talking but the PS3 is looking more and more sexy every time I look at it (I think it just winked at me).

Serisously though, all of the consoles are much of a muchness, the differences between them don't really make them better or worse, just better for different people (trying to say which one is best is liking argueing that your favorite colour is better than everyone else's).
