Well I've had a 3-day weekend so I've been playing through InFamous and Bulletstorm (which I was gonna do is PSN was online anyway)
Got another 3-day weekend next week so I'll be playing through Red Dead Redemption. If PSN is back online then.....Red Dead Redemption.

You pay for PSN when you pay for your console.

PSN is about as "free" as a graphics card when you buy a pre-built PC. Not that anyone should ever do that, god forbid.
Well, yeah, I just thought you had it mixed up with XBL or something.

Sorry 'bout that.
Its free if you get a free concle/ "borrow it" or make a acount at your friends house

Being a dual console owner (also owning a 360) it would not have been a huge issue if I had xbl gold in terms of my multi player needs.

As it happens though been playing a lot of GTA IV SP recently so not hugely bothered. Sucks for those lokking to play Mortal Kombat or Portal 2 online.

Playing Final Fantasy VI on my DS Lite (GBA cart slot for the win) and grumbling constantly about how I can't download any new DLC for Dissidia 012.

I've been...playing games.

I mean, it's a game console. It's what it's for, and I'm not huge into the multi-player scene.

Likewise, I didn't even notice that PSN was down until I heard about it online. I've been playing the Valkyria Chronicles DLC and Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes all month, neither of which require PSN. Sengoku Basara has 50+ hours of content even if you only beat each character's story once (16 characters x 8-12 battle per route x 10-30 minutes per battle), and it's got well over 100 hours if you decide to fully complete it (3-6 routes per character on 4 difficulty levels).
200hours if you're going for all the trophys as well... I was playing it earlier this year, got it for cheap and didn't really expect much from it, but I ended up spending around 90hours on it... Still plan on platting it someday, when I have more time anyway.
No kidding, I'm not quite sure how many hours I've been playing (haven't checked) but I still have 2 Characters and 5 Battles missing and I just managed to unlock Nobunaga. Muramasa is the only character I've trained and he's level 71, everyone else in in their 20-30s. Once I've beaten one route with every character I'm calling it beaten and I'll work on 100% completion later.
I'd gotten most of the trophys when I stopped playing, was missing mainly the big ones like collect all accessorys/weapons/allys, be a millionaire and level everyone to 100. Most of my characters are atleast level 50, half of them 60+ and Magoichi I had at 100 because she was my designated character to do the complete hard mode with starting weapon trophy. I think hardest will be getting all the accessorys/weapons due to the random nature of the drops. I'm probably going to wait till summer to finish it off though when I've got far more free time. Thoroughly enjoyed playing it though.

I stared at the login for a while, pressing it over and over again, frowning a little more every time it rejected my advances.

Then I blew the dust off of my PS2 and popped in Beyond Good and Evil.

You PC gamers can suck my toes. Here's the way it is... *Sips whiskey out of a mug made from a hollowed-out Gamecube* You pay umpteen hundred dollars for a PC, and run overrated, bland tripe like Crysis and crappy ports of games that were made with consoles in mind, while I pay $20 for a last-gen console that has VASTLY superior games. I have more fun, play cooler games, and have a massive available game library, and you get to make yourself poor trying to keep your dinosaur up to date. It's a sad and pathetic reality, but perhaps one day you will wise up and come live in Awesome Land. *Rides away on a motorcycle made of PS2s (the combined price of which is still cheaper than your PC) with four naked goth chicks straddling the back, sunglasses on face, Gamecube whiskey mug held aloft* Seeya, losers!

In all seriousness though, I do love to game on my PC. I love the Original Half Life series and World of Goo and Minecraft and many others, but right now I could go down to the local pawn shop, plonk down $30, and walk out with an original XBox and a copy of Star Wars Battlefront 2. I will have more fun and pay 0.01% of the price. Neener neener.

Playing Xbox...

... I suppose it doesn't matter to me anyway. I don't have any games on my PS3 that have online play, except maybe my dad's copy of Gran Turismo, but I don't play racing games online anyway. All I have is InFamous and all the God of War games for my PS3.

I'd quite like the music packs as well, although thankfully I'd already gotten the new costumes. I also wanted to check if the new music packs and costumes for Yuna, Laguna and Sephiroth had been released yet, not to mention the Emperor and Onion Knight's new ones. ¬___¬

I've been playing my Steam games, and lurking on /v/. I don't ask for games, I just happen to post in gifting threads, and bam, suddenly the game I mentioned is in my library.

I've been playing on the PC. To be honest, if I didn't read the escapist I wouldn't have known PSN was down; i haven't played my PS3 in a good while now.
