first person puzzle survival horror racing game.

you drive a car in a first person point of view, avoiding evil creature, and sometimes you get out to solve a puzzle in a creature free enviroment(cos solving a puzzle just to be clawed to death would suck so much cock.)

Second person shooter... Cos it would work?
(probably not)
um... I guess 2PS has it's field of view either from a character's shoulder(with the neck and upper arm visible) or right on top(only seeing teh dude's hair)?

I dunno, it sounds intuitive.
The reason you never see second person gameplay is because it's a usability NIGHTMARE. Essentially, you have to play the game without any control over the view whatsoever.
How the hell could you know when there are no 2PS's around :p
2nd person would be your target. your eyes is 1st person, over the shoulder is 3rd person, because you have a view like a 3rd person that is seeing the fight from someone else's eyes.

So ya, it could work, your objective is to be the target, and move about in a way that you get dramatically killed by the hero. I like it! we call in the Star Trek: Red Shirt

You are 2nd gunner Dead Meat and you are trying to stop a rampaging Klingon invasion. More points for the bigger name that kills you!

Time Travel games as a genre.
Um... Isn't there a game based on time travelling? Forgot the name...Timesplitters I thought.
Yes there are games but not an entire genre dedicated to time-based games. It would make games like Time-splitters, Prince of Persia, Chrono-Trigger, Time-Hunter, etc. would be together and there would be more of them done in the same vein. (Think of aerial dogfighting games-there were enough of those for awhile that they had their own sub-genre). I wouldn't mind seeing a Dr. Who video game series if they handled it well!

Steam Punk is on the rise as a theme so maybe we will see some games based around it yet.

Cyberpunk would be more like urban fantasy with more technology. Have you seen Bladerunner? That is a classic Cyberpunk story. I think Equilibrium would also qualify. Otherwise, go check out the source book for the tabletop game of the same name or try to find the Sega genesis game of that title. You will be surprised!

An Open-ended Sports game. You are the player, then if you play your cards right you can become a old manager, a scout, a TV commentary guy, a owner or just make commercials.

Name: 'Burn-out or Fade away'

It still won't work. Imagine playing some FPS multiplayer split screen, but you can ONLY screen look to play. Other than short exposes like sightjacking in Siren, playing a full 2nd person perspective game would be unbelievably frustrating.

OT once again: open world survival horror. Imagine something like GTA in a large suburban area with very few people and it's infested with demons or something.

Hmm... How about an assassination ga... oh wait Hitman. Hmmm, actually why not have a proper assassination game, where you plan the attempt to every last detail in a sandbox world, and conspire for your your escape. It'd be hard to get right, but done properly it would be excellent fun.

Wouldn't 2nd person be kind of like that one boss fight in Turtles in Time where you (as the turtles, obviously) fight Shredder from a his perspective? I think it that one you have to pick up footclan guys and throw them at Shredder (and the screen) to beat him. It was a cool game play twist.

But is that really a new genre or a expansion of a current one? Sandbox game with zombies. don't get me wrong, I'd totally play that

I don't really mean that necessarily (you basically just described Prototype). It is kind of an expansion of a current one but made as a true blue survival horror game. Kind of a "last man on earth" scenario is what I had in mind. Think more along the lines of a cross between Silent Hill and Fallout 3.

Super-Manga Crazy-create-em-up.

Is it a fighting game? Is it a shooting game? Is it some kind of crazy open-world RPG?

Its all that and neither, its a complex visual explosion of utter exaggerated madness where you decide what you want to do and whatever crazy way you want to approach it. Littlebigplanet crashing into the production house of Weekly Shonen Jump as envisaged by the creators of No More Heroes, Elite Beat Agents and Viewtiful Joe after a week-long final fantasy and Disgaea bender smoking pot.

Or something. Possible game name: World of Waa?!!

That, or I'd just settle for a good Naruto-themed MMORPG where you could invent your own jutsu and has a world storyline that doesn't just revolve around Konoha. That would be awesome, so long as there is a filter installed that allows the removal of hyperactive 12-yr olds.

Removing Naruto? Hell no. He's too awesome to be taken serious. :p

I vaguely know a few of those games(not by name, but by gameplay).

How would you name the genre and the game?

Slight misunderstanding, I meant as in 'fellow players', rather than the original(pre-shippuden) versions of the characters at age 12. I can see how it happened though, and yes, he is. Shikamru remains my personal favorite, though I love the Manga and the Animé for the way most characters have developed throughout. Damn good series.
