The Rainbow Six Siege Launch Trailer Channels Shakespeare

"Once more unto the breach..."

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege releases on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 next week, and now Ubisoft has released a launch trailer for the tactical shooter. The action is in slow motion, accompanied by a reading from Shakespeare's Henry V, Acte III, Scene I. There are also a few fairly dramatic (dare I say grand?) explosions.

The open beta for Rainbow Six Siege launched the following day [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/165183-Open-Beta-Delayed-for-Rainbow-Six-Siege], November 26, with a guarantee that the delay would not impact the game's release. The open beta is ongoing.

Rainbow Six Siege releases on December 1.

This ad has probably made me more interested in the game than anything else. More things need to make use of Shakespeare.

Gah, if only I had friends to play with or else I'd have spammed this so, so hard.

I really don't mind multiplayer-only titles, but in the current online climate I really don't want to get into them unless I have friends or at least acquaintances/people-I-know-are-decent to join me. Especially if it's a tactical game in which communication is important.

The Shakespeare bit really fitted well, by the way. It also cemented my opinion that Shakespeare should not be read, but heard.
