You dont spend money on world peace, money is basically useless or atleast will be.Before we can have world peace we have to fix our own problems especially the USA which is majorly run by the banks not the president(which btw is unnesessary).To achieve some world peace we must rely on technology, better technology.

.....if everyone payed off all their depts including the government their would be no money ,then how will you pay back the interest the monetary system is set up to fail you will always be in dept.

I would have to agree with the premise of this gripe, more so seeing Australia funded a HUGE and I mean HUUUUUGE increase in our military spending just before Howard left office. This spending was on *gasp* Air-craft that where not tested or evaluated (at the time they where not even off the drawing board) to see if it was worth our spending. Tanks we can NOT use in the pacific region. New support aircraft designed to carry these behemoths to the middle east where they will get nicely clogged with dust and cease to function and other stuff. Oh and new massive cruse sized craft which will be able to lug them over to the middle east... at a slower pace.

Hell of that massive hand out to the US military industrial complex there was just Two... TWWWOO.... craft that where worth our investment. Nice, very fast, PT boats and a few modern day destroyers. These where the only things that made sense but where foot notes on the spending bill, with the bulk of the money going to wasteful spending. The useless tanks and the aircraft that are being out performed by Chinese and Russian craft (Already in the air, at that, not just some future promise of a craft).

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that your gripe?
That there is way to much pork in the military spending for projects that can not hold up to promises and many times are NOT even tested let alone evaluated before being approved?
Cause I can agree with that.
What with 50% of you're whole budget being devoted to the armed forces and the large chunk going to purchase equipment you do not really need, have no real use for, but just have to have cause it is new and shiny....

Hopefully in the future they will see the error of there ways, I understand the Raptor is good at everything including bombing runs?.

Personally I'd stick to the A-10 for that since its cheaper and buy some Saab Wigens and Viglens, it'd be all round cheaper then the JSF and a much better record in future.
