EDIT: fixed the spoiler tags...thanks.

You know why I don't like twilight?

(from what a friend who has read the books has told me)

The heroine (is she underage? I'm not sure about that part) gets herself pregnant by the main character.
The baby then tries to eat her from the inside.
The Vampire has to essentially EAT THE KID OUT OF HER.

This book is marketed to (POSSIBLY impressionable) teen girls.

AND EVERYONE IS OK WITH THAT.

I just found that to be NASTY. I looked at my friend and said "You're shitting me, right? ...No?! WHAT?! And this book is marketed to WHO?!"

And then people raise a fuss over M rated games being sold to Legal Adults. Go figure.

Honestly, I can't wait to see how they handle that in the movie series. It's obviously not appropriate for a large portion of the demographic it's marketed toward, and it certainly doesn't fit in with the fluffy romantic theme they've been going for in the last couple movies.
I'm guessing it'll just get scraped altogether and they'll find a work-around.

I'm not saying she should use it all the time otherwise it shows she's trying waaaay too hard at writing. I'd be happy if she used a coma, but I'm being to think she has a thing with the period with how much she uses it.
I'm really tempted to make a menopause joke here.
I almost did too, I was smirking when I was typing that. You have my permission to make one.

I think that the fact that it is a badly written book series is reason enough to hate it, not even considering all the other bad things.
Im with you, the rest is just more fuel for the fires for hate.
just cuz somthing is "Badly Written" is reason to hate it? When somthing is badly put to gether, i dont hate it, i just disregard it as badly put together and move on, i dont hate it

I don't understand this "Twilight is creating a generation of women who submit to abuse" sentiment. No, no it's not, in the same way that Bulletstorm isn't going to cause mass murders.
It's not going to turn young women into abuse victims, but that doesn't mean it's something they should be exposed to either.

Is Call of Duty going to turn your 13-year-old into a gun wielding killer? No. Is it a good parental decision to prevent your kid from playing that game until they're older? Yes.[/quote]I don't understand the concept that anyone under 18 can't handle violent video games. It's not like everyone under 18 is so thin-skinned that merely upon seeing fake blood they will endure psychological trauma.
