Alice's plan in such situations was normally to move further back. Her rifle was more effective with a larger distance between her and the target. Not least because it severely reduced the chances of them being able to fire back. Unfortunately the terrain didn't allow for any such option, not with the enemies current position. From their angle they'd be able to easily take down anybody moving away from them.

Instead she decided the best course of action was to stay near she was once she'd moved out of the line of fire, and hit anybody who tried to advance down the front. William had already taken off down one direction and Lucy had taken the opposite. The rear seemed safe from approaching enemies, even if it was too risky to head towards. So from where Alice was standing, the enemy would have to move into her line of sight to get around the flanks of the others.

It wasn't long before the sound of the sub machine guns and the rifle stopped so Alice assumed they'd either been pinned down, killed or had ran out of ammunition. Now was her time to move up. She stopped dead before moving out from cover as she somebody sneak past on her left. They clearly hadn't seen her and seemed to have their eyes on somebody else.

Moving around behind him she saw what had drawn his attention. Lucy had her back to a wall and was attempting to reload her plasma pistol. It didn't look like she'd noticed the man approaching her, and he had a nasty looking blade in his hand. While she had covered hand to hand combat during her training, it wasn't something Alice had ever had to encounter in real life. Her hand trembled slightly as she drew her own knife, with equal parts fear and adrenaline.

The jet of blood from the man's throat spattered her clothing and face when she stabbed him through the back of his neck. His body twisted round to face her before crumbling to the floor. With her scarf saturated with blood, she unwrapped it and threw it aside, revealing her face properly for the first time. Her reddish brown eyes were wider than normal and she couldn't contain a slight expression of shock.

Closing her eyes slowly, she took a deep breath and turned to Lucy. To whom she bent down towards slightly and offered her hand.

The D.C. Wastelands:

The staccato of gunfire and the whizzing of bullets overhead was music to Sylph's ears. When it came to fighting, life was simple. There were only two outcomes when it came to fighting: Either the Red Menace would die or her targets would die. It wasn't anything like the --- feelings -- that Sylph had been wrestling with as of late and she welcomed the break.

With Master(?) Johnny Truant, Sister Lucy Black and Alice firing from long range, Mistress(?) Beryl Craw firing from intermediate range, this left William Knight and Sylph to intercept the Raiders that would be running to assault the sniper group.

Splitting off from William Knight, The Red Menace unsheathed the Katana that had been gifted to her by Sister Lucy Black, holding it in her right hand and her left hand to use the hidden spring loaded blade if needed. Vaulting over a piece of rubble, Sylph saw a pair of Raiders, one armed with a Sledge Hammer while the other had a 10 MM pistol in his hands, rushing towards the direction of Master(?) Johnny Truant, Sister Lucy Black and Alice.

With a small smile on her lips, The Stormy eyed girl quickly climbed what was once a wall and waited for the sounds of the Raider's boots to pass her hiding spot before she jumped.

The Raider armed with the Sledge Hammer, Jeb, was so focused on locating the prize, the women and their weapons, that the sensation of a pair of boots landing on his shoulders followed by the sensation of his face hitting the ground took him completely by surprise, a surprise that only lasted less than a second longer before what was once a lawnmower blade slipped between his ribs and pierced his heart.

Jeb's brother, George, only lasted a few moments longer as he lost the sensation in his arms and legs, well everything below his neck, as the world toppled end over end or rather his head spun end over end after being freed from the rest of George's body. Twin jets of arterial blood splattered their surroundings, some of which stained the Red Menace's uniform, as she moved on, locating her next victim, which judging by the sound of the footsteps wasn't too far away.

Ducking into the ruined building, Sylph once again laid in wait until the sound of a single pair of boots passed. Climbing through a blown out window frame, Sylph prepared to snap the Raider's neck with her bare hands.

*CRUNCH*

The Red Menace's boot shattered a small bit of glass underneath and allowed the Raider to turn around. Even though Sylph still had the advantage, she was frozen in place as much as the Raider was.

Whomever she was, the Raider was young, very young with a face covered in grime and dust. From the way the roughly cobbled armor hung from her body, Sylph could tell that it had been quite some time since she had been fed. But most striking of all were the twin set of blue eyes that looked at Sylph in surprise, terror and finally resolve.

*BLAM! BLAM!*

The young raider's pistol spat fire as she recovered from her surprise first and caused the world to come crashing around Sylph as she looked down at her stomach and saw the growing blood stains in her crimson uniform.

*SHWINK!!!*

Sylph's Katana lashed out, eliminating any expression from the eyes that had stopped Sylph dead in her tracks before the Red Menace collapsed to the ground.

Beryl had hoped to keep a lower profile, but before they could have even got their bearings, there was a colossal amount of gunfire going on. Beryl sighed and unlimbered her big shotty. She cracked it open and stuck in a couple of shells. Glancing out from cover, she saw Sylph crumple, but not before rendering some bastard with her sword. Beryl stepped out of cover and walked over to the waife, gun raised.

"Yeah! Take that missy!" yelled another raider, running towards the downed girl.

He had only a second to noticed Beryl emerging from her cover before the old hag let off both barrels into him. The gun jerked up in Beryl's hands, smacking her hard in the nose. She staggered back and let out an angry cry. Through watering eyes she could make out the remains of the raider, painted across the landscape.

The sight took her back to a long discarded memory, back when she was still young enough to wear bobby socks. One of her colleagues decided a fifteen year old ex-girl guide was not fit to lead a gang of phychopathic raiders, and tried to murder her in her sleep. Fortunately, she had thought to jury-rig a sawn-off shotgun trap to the door of her caravan. She was abruptly awoken by an explosion, and was greeted by the sight of the bisected remains of her second in command. It was exactly this sort of thing that would see her to leave this kind of companionship behind - it was far more quieter, and more lucrative, to grow beyond small time banditry. If less predictable.

She tucked her gun under one arm and grabbed sylph with the other. Finding she wasn't strong enough to lift both, she dropped the young girl again.

"Fuck it, I'm going to need some help carrying her. Anyone?"

There was dirt down this alley, fresh boot prints showed up more obviously than a Glowing One in a dark room.

Two sets of prints, a pair of raiders came this way. They were running, not as fast as I was but if they set off straight away I won't catch then in time.

William ran down the alley, hoping the raiders had been dispatched by somebody. Indeed they had been, but as William discovered, Sylph was amongst the bodies clutching her stomach. Beryl was already on hand to help, though clearly struggling.

"Fuck it, I'm going to need some help carrying her, anyone?"

William sheathed his sword as he reached Beryl and Sylph, "I'll take her, easy does it." He picked up Sylph, careful not to put strain on her stomach and make her wounds worse, " Ok come on Sylph, I've got you. You're going to be ok." William carried her back into the road and towards the group.

"Can anyone help here? We need to stabilise her and get straight to a proper medical facility. These look really bad."

The choppers were beyond Danielle's field of view, and she had no idea if she had done any damage.
Danielle walked over to a nearby Paladin.
[Tactics]"I want you to have round-the-clock A.A. squads armed with Tesla Cannons on the walls in case any more Enclave aircraft come near the Citadel. We're not going to be caught with our pants down.
Paladins Carlos Silver and Briana Goodman came into the courtyard together, and gave Danielle a quick salute. Carl was armed with a Plasma Caster, and Briana with a Laser Rapid Capacitor Weapon, and a big box of explosives.
"Reporting for duty!"
You've got a couple of minutes, we're waiting on two more.
Marlon was out next.
"Hello Marlon."
"Sorry to keep you waitin'." he said as he jogged into the courtyard to reunite with her.
"No worries, we're still waiting on one more.
Paladin Ian Howard was out after a couple of minutes, with a Thermic Lance, and a Recharger pistol.
"M'am."
"And the gang's all here.
Marlon chimed in.
"Good to go when you are. Let's go find us an army."
Quest Completed: LFG.
Level Up!
As usual, points were divvied, and a perk was taken.
New Perk: [5 shots or 6?] You are aware of how many shots every weapon in the area has expended while in your presence. Skill checks are required to know the actual magazine size being deducted from though.
"One thing Marlon, this is your first operation with the Brotherhood, so you should know: On Brotherhood ops that require a lot of travel, we keep a 36 hour day with 8 hours for sleep. Don't worry; you'll get used to it. Or you'll have a psychotic break. Either way."
The group headed out of the Citadel.
"Back to the wild grey/brown yonder."

Reloading a plasma pistol is a simple task.

Attempting to do so with one hand painfully locked into an overheated rifle, having sniper fire pelt her cover and trying to retain some semblance of coordination when she couldn't hear her own thoughts over the fighting outside proved to be a more difficult task.

(00:19)

Finally, Lucy had snapped the energy cell into place and the pistol hummed in response. The fighting had died down, there were fewer gunshots and her position was no longer being fired upon. Of course, Lucy was distracted by the shaking of her steam burnt hand.

Groaning out loud, she pulled out the miracle salve in anticipation.

The clatter of an alarmingly nearby knife had snapped Lucy's vulnerable eye to attention. Her heart pounded at the notion of dying without facing her enemy but more so at how her life could easily be taken away.

The fear was short-lived when a bloodied but very-much-alive Alice had rescued her from certain death.
With it's trademark signal venting of steam, Lucy disengaged her rifle's Beast Mode and took Alice's hand with a great deal of pain.

"We have got to stop meeting like this..." Lucy attempted to remark playfully, but her breathing was laboured. Addressing Alice with sincerity. "Thank you, are...you okay though?"

Lucy couldn't see any visible indicators that Alice was physically harmed, but she looked worn out emotionally - like she had received some bad news or something to that effect.

Gathering her gear and applying the miracle salve, Lucy merely chose to give Alice a small appreciative smile. The salve was soothing and suppressed the aching down to tolerable levels.

"Can anyone help here? We need to stabilise her and get straight to a proper medical facility. These look really bad."

No.

Lucy quickened her pace towards William's voice. He was nearby.
Exiting the ruins, the rest of the group was easy to spot. Beryl, William and -

Oh god no.

Jogging towards William from behind, her fears were confirmed when Sylph's worryingly limp form was cradled in his arms.

I was the one that chose to come running here. Sylph wouldn't have followed me if -

With an eye wide in shock, Lucy's hand hovered over the bullet wounds in horror and put a hand to Sylph's cheek. Refusing to let go as she confessed into her ear. "We'll help you, we have too. [small]I'm so sorry Sylph...[/small]"

Knowing it was foolish, Lucy offered her stimpacks to William before frantically walking a few steps away. Lucy located the position of the sun and pointed North with a shaking hand. "R-rivet City is North from here. I-it has to b-be. If the Citadel is East..." Running a hand through her hair conveying how she was at the height of anxiety and worry. "She will make it. She has to."

Lucy would never forget this moment. Stripped bare and coupled with terror, she realized her unorthodox love had begun to blossom for the Crimson Assassin.

The D.C. Wastelands:

There was no tunnel of light, no replay of the Red Menace's life before her eyes and there was certainly no Abominable Snowman guarding the gates that lead beyond the Matterhorn's Peak, as Henry McGee had sometimes stated.

That - was - a - strange - thing.

"Henry McGee. Henry McGee. Henry McGee." Sylph blurted out as she looked around and saw that she was still in the burnt out ruins located on the outskirts of Rivet City and though she knew that she had been shot twice in the abdomen, there wasn't any pain, nor was there any sensation of blood being soaked up by her clothing.

"Can anyone help here? We need to stabilize her and get straight to a proper medical facility. These look really bad." Said a voice that Sylph recognized as belonging to William, though it sounded further off than it should have given that he was standing next to her. Again, another strange though.

"William. William. William" Sylph blurted out once again as she realized that something was definitely amiss and continued, "Beryl! Johnny! Lucy!"

"They can't hear you Missy Miss Other Coin!" Responded a definitely familiar voice that wasn't as distant as all the other voices belonging to Sylph's adoptive family. Turning around, Sylph saw herself, though from the whacked out smile on her face, she could tell that this was Sylphee.

"What do you mean, they can't hear me?" The Red Menace - er - Sylph asked, her voice had an edge of impatience imparted upon it.

"Wellers - We're kinda sorta almost dead! Can't you see Missy Miss Other Coin?" Sylphee asked as she pointed towards the prone and unconscious figure that Lucy, William and Beryl were kneeling around and jabbing with Stimpacks.

"Oh. So that's what happened." Sylph muttered as she hear Lucy's voice, quite louder than the others as she whispered into Unconscious Sylph's ear.

"We'll help you, we have too. [small]I'm so sorry Sylph...[/small]"

"Lucy, it wasn't your fault! I was sloppy!" Sylph exclaimed towards Lucy, forgetting that the One Eyed Gauss Girl wouldn't be able to hear her.

"You're super silly Missy Miss Other Coin! Mommy Meryl Barrel, Mister Willy Billy and Big Sissy Psycho Lucy Caboosy can't hear us!" Sylphee reminded Sylph with a giggle.

"Will you shut up? You know that you're the whole reason why I'm so annoyed all the time." Sylph snapped, turning on the Smiling Red Menace.

"Ooooooh! You're maaaaaaad! Shame shame shame Missy Miss Other Coin." Sylphee said as she ran her right index finger across the top of her left index finger in the "shame shame" gesture causing Sylph to feel even more anger to bubble up as she walked up to slap the smile off of Sylphee's face, only to see her hand go through Sylphee's head.

"That wasn't very nice Missy Miss Other Coin!" Sylphee responded with a frown and a big hrmph before continuing with a different topic.

"Why'd you let Missy Blue Eyed Raider Lady shoot you?" Sylphee asked as she hopped up from where she was seated, skipping around the ruins or rather through the ruins since she was able to pass through the blasted out walls.

"You saw her didn't you? Her eyes?" Sylph responded.

"Nu uh! Nu uh! I didn't see anything, Missy Miss Other Coin!" Sylphee corrected as she attempted to look through Alice's pockets, only to find that she just couldn't interact with them. Sylph didn't even know why she bothered trying to talk to Sylphee. Come to think of it, she didn't even know how it was possible that she was communicating with Sylphee at that very moment.

"Then how did you know that she had blue eyes?!" An Annoyed Sylph asked in retort.

"Who has blue eyes?" Sylphee asked, her voice filled with confusion.

"Well you know what that means, H-" Sylph's words were cut off by a sudden bout of pain that radiated out from her abdomen.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Sylphee screamed as she started holding her tummy in the same spot that Sylph was.

"-He-" Sylph attempted to continue as the world around the two Sylphs started to go wonky.

"-Plans- Dammit." Sylph cursed as the world went black.

[hr]

"She will make it. She has to." Came a voice that sounded like it was coming from the other side of some tunnel.

"*COUGH COUGH COUGH!!!*" Sylph coughed, feeling as annoyed as ever when she realized that she was on the ground and that she had been shot in the gut. Someone had gotten the drop on her and she hoped that she had ended that person's life rather painfully before she had passed out.

"Ow." The Red Menace said as she opened her eyes and saw Mistress(?) Beryl Craw, Sister Lucy Black and William Knight kneeling over her, each one holding a stimpack in both hands. It was a wonder that The Stormy Eyed Girl was even able to open her eyes if they had used all 6 of the stimpacks on her.

"I assume we won since everyone is sitting around me." Sylph observed as she tried to sit up, though the pain in her abdomen still felt quite severe, rubbing her head as she tried to remember what had happened after she had been shot.

Alice unslung her rifle and followed Lucy over to where the commotion was. They discovered Sylph lying on the ground with blood spreading from her abdomen. William and another lady whom Alice recalled getting off of the Vertibird were looking over her. Lucy rushed over to her friend and tried to comfort her.

Feeling slightly out of place, and with Sylph already surrounded by her friends, Alice decided the best thing she could do for the time being was make sure they weren't about to get ambushed again. She noticed a half demolished building nearby and climbed up it onto the second floor. The ruined walls allowed her a decent view of the surrounding area so she settled down into a position that allowed her the angle to keep as much in sight as possible.

She couldn't see anything suspicious so tentatively came to the conclusion that they weren't in any immediate danger for the time being, Sylph being the exception. Alice occasionally glanced down at the group in between looking through the rifle's scope, a frown forming every time she did so.

After a short while Alice caught movement out of the corner of her eye and looked down to see Sylph appeared to have woken up.

It had either been several days later or several hours later or even sever minutes later that American Enclave Scout of America, Constance Sorrowfeld had spent in Rivet City's brig. Pacing the tight confines of the cell, the Scout made it her duty to harass every guard that happened to wander too close to the cage.

"JUST YOU WAIT UNTIL FRANK HEARS ABOUT THIS! YOU'LL BE SORRY! I'LL MAKE SURE THAT HE RIPS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU A NEW ASSHOLE! IF YOU DON'T LET ME OUT NOW I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET THAT YOU WERE EJECTED OUT OF THAT SUPER MUTANT THAT YOU CALL A MOTHER'S WOMB! YOU'LL WISH A DEATHCLAW WAS USING YOU FOR A HAND PUPPET! YOU'LL..."

"SHUT UP!!!!" A Rivet City Security Guard yelled from where he was seated, wishing his prisoner was mute in addition to being blind, as he turned up the volume on his radio.

"IF THERE'S ANYONE THAT SHOULD BE IN THIS CELL, IT'S THAT SUPER MUTANT LOOKING ASSHOLE!!" Constance continued yelling at her captor. Rather than admonishing her as he had for the last several tirades, there was a different reply in the form of a steel door being shut. It appeared that the guard had tired of Constance's rant and chose instead to segregate her from the rest of the world.

"Damn." Scout Sorrowfeld cursed as she sat down on what passed for a bunk in Rivet City and started planning her escape.

"Hey everybody, this is Three Dog, your friendly neighborhood disc jockey. What's a disc? Hell if I know, but I'm gonna keep talking anyway." Came a static filled voice from the nether.

"What? Who's there?!" The Feline Enclave Scout yelled as she looked about in confusion as she started to hear music, at least something that sounded like music...

"Whatever it was... it sounds... *yawn*... purdy..." Constance mumbled before she dozed off on the bunk.

"Hello Sylvia."
Frank climbed into the bird.
"So what's so "Priority 1" important that I had to fly over here? You just too lazy to walk?"
"There's a big-ass robot that isn't ours, and isn't Bloom's incapacitated in the old Bethesda ruins. It's either the Outcasts' or the Encalve's. I'm going to stuff it full of these bombs, and run like hell."
"That's an acceptable reason."
One of the FatCats putting explosive packages on the bird chimed in.
"Mr. Bloom says I'm to go with you to ensure that the explosives are set up properly."
Sylvia seemed somewhat worried by this scenario.
"I'm not sure I'm comfortable flying around with this many explosives."
"I'm afraid we don't have a better plan, and we can't let this thing get back in the action."
"Of course you don't have a better plan, your plans are terrible."
Frank was about to snap back at Sylvia, but decided against it. The best way to deal with Sylvia was to not engage her. He did have to discuss something though.
He took a deep breath.
"Do you know a Chris Carlson?"
"He's my dad."
"I'm sorry to inform you, he was killed when Behemoths attacked the Citadel."
"Are you certain?"
"I dragged his body back myself."
"I.."
Sylvia's father was a mercenary, and her mother was a merchant. When she was young, her mother died, and her father couldn't be there to raise her, and work at the same time. He decided to go join the Brotherhood to ensure Sylvia would have a safe place to grow up, and he could apply his skills. He was a good man, and Sylvia loved him dearly.
"I'm sorry."
"Let's just go."
They took off.

The D.C. Wastelands:

Word was spreading like wildfire throughout the Raider and Scavenger community about the legend of the Widow Maker, a beast crafted of steel, rubber, blood and pain, a vehicle who consumed the souls of those foolhardy enough to try to pilot this Short Bus to Hell. Scavenger Joe was but the first victim.

Not too soon after, Chazz Michael Michaels and Jimmy MacElroy joined the ranks of the fallen.

Raiders Apollo, Thunderlips, Clubber and Ivan were also knocked out in quick succession, luckily for them before their bodies were sent hurtling into the Potomac River.

Mister Butterworth, the uppity Scavenger to enjoyed the lone wolf life, was pancaked between a wall and the asphalt after the wall fell on him.

Yes, the word was spreading that there was a new danger in the Wastelands.

[hr]

Mistress(?) Beryl Craw, Sister Lucy Black and William Knight had managed to move Sylph against a wall to allow time for the Stimpacks to close the wounds that the Red Menace had sustained during the shootout with the Raiders. Until the wounds had sealed themselves sufficiently, Sylph would have to remain resting or risk reopening her gunshot wounds.

As the others fussed over her, Sylph, once again, felt strange that Mistress(?) Beryl Craw, Sister Lucy Black and William Knight would care over her even if Mistress(?) Beryl Craw did fuss over Sylph in her own way. Even Alice took watch atop a nearby bombed out shell of a building in preparation for any ambush that the Raider groups would try.

The ambush that did come was certainly not what they had expected.

"[small]aaaa[/small]aaaaAAAAHHHH" *SPLORCH!!!!*

It seemed to be raining Raiders as one of their members landed not too far away from the group, his head exploding like a ripe melon on impact with the ground or, the raiders had taken to using their own members as projectiles, not the most logical thing but raiders weren't famous for their sense of logic.

"Did Master(?) Johnny Shakes give you one of his special Stimpacks, Sister Lucy Black? I seem to be seeing things." Sylph said as she looked at the pool of exploded Raider.

"[small]aaaa[/small]aaaaAAAAHHHH" *SPLAT!!!!*

[HEADING=2]I Am The Madness Today.[/HEADING]

He is mysterious and highly-intimidating, that seven-foot-tall powersuit of black and red. He sits inside of his chambers, the lights dimmed and the room quiet at most times. Nobody knows what he does when people are not looking. And even despite moments of unexpected guests, they still have no clue as to the happenings and goings-on of...

"NUMBER ONE!!!"

The door slammed open, and a commander with a chainsword in his holster marched on in, followed by his subordinate. Both of these men were Enclave regulars in powersuits, however the one with the sword was, in fact, a commander by right. He looked... Okay, expressions are meaningless when everyone's in power-armor, but he certainly sounded pissed. He stopped before figure sitting in the raised metal chair.

"Ah, #461 and #273. How are you gentlemen today?"

#461: I'm pissed! That child of Isaac is a fucking traitor and was the whole time! She just crashed the vertibird, killed the pilot, and announced the fact!

"Gasp. Shock. Amazement. 'How could this have happened?'."

The two soldiers stared at the big leader for a moment as he went through the most deadpan performance of surprise ever.

"Am I doing it wrong?"

#273: Uhhh...you trying to say that you knew...all along?

"Well, of course I am."

#461: What do you mean...you knew? You mean to say that you knew this whole time AND YOU DIDN'T DO SQUAT ABOUT IT?! WHY NOT?!

"Because a good gambit must be played very carefully, with all the suckers made to think they got away scott free. The Asset Program isn't a means to test and recruit people for the Enclave. It's a group of trumped-up patsies we send into fire like canaries testing for poison gas. Lucy Black shall aid the Enclave in its endeavours whether she wants to...or not."

#461: You should have informed us, Number One. At least those of whom you chose to lead others! Those people are a menace and- GFFFFLLLLBLBLBLBE!!!

Suddenly, #461's suit imploded. #273 saw this and jumped back, startled.

#273: Uhhh...I think it's a great plan! Have I ever told you how much I admire you, sir? I think you've lost weight!

Number One looked at him, to the space previously-occupied by a suit, then back to him again, and shrugged.

"Wasn't ME."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

No, it was not Number One who did that. It was something else. All over the wasteland, strange phenomenon - bizarre disappearances, in fact - were occurring, and it all stemmed out from one location...though only a map and a box of thumbtacks might tell you that. What was happening, exactly? Well...

In Rivet City, one of Morgan Blooms' bodyguard screamed and disappeared, his body pulled inward, seemingly into nothingness.

Just south of Talon Company's base, a patrol of their men felt sick, like a pulling on their stomachs, and then they all contracted inwards and were sucked away with a rather loud slurping sound.

Several ghouls vanished from the Underworld, none of whom happened to be babbling nonsense like so many others.

Other members of the Enclave imploded as well, suits and all, though one of them EXploded from the live grenade he was holding.

A survivine part of the Legion escaping the area infested with the Enclave's cyber-zombies were suddenly reduced by half, several of them claiming to have seen weird appendages at work when it happened.

Sarah Lyons personally witnessed a Scribe she was talking to grasp his throat like he couldn't breath, a bone-crunching sound following as he self-compressed somehow and collapsed into nothingness.

At GNR, one of the Brotherhood's guards also vanished, something that Three Dog would no doubt report as soon as he got the chance, satellite dish or not.

A good number of the Heads and other less-intelligent raiders also vanished, generally without a trace.

Emerson Estabahn, the man who was still in ownership of the Nuka-Cola Factory, lost half his staff and a small shipment of Nuka-Cola, the only clue as to what happened being a VERY large belch.

Johnny Truant was suddenly gripped from behind by something in a black cloak with three clawed fingers, trying to choke him, but a few seconds later whatever it was disappeared.

Other sightings occurred.

Something was happening here, something decidedly wrong. The population of the general areas were being properly decimated, and by some accounts they were being devoured, people claiming they saw teeth or mandibles or something. At the Dunwich Building, the chants continued...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Meanwhile, at the Chinese warship, FalloutJack had a problem. While he WAS kicking ass with his weapons and causing damages to the ship and its glowing ghoul crew, there was a...small problem.

FalloutJack: Hey, guys? My vulcan isn't working?

FalloutBob: No vulcan? That's not logical, captain!

FalloutJack: Be serious, Bob. I think something's wrong with it.

FalloutJohn: The tail itself is working. You think something damaged the control line?

FalloutJack: Maybe...

The fact is that Danielle Rose hit it from REALLY far away with a hot-damn-I-didn't-think-that'd-work shot. She had been trying to hit the tail rotor of Jack's Stinger from so far away that she probably couldn't even see that...Stingers didn't have tail rotors. Because they had the tail-guns, Stingers control directions via the jet engines on the side. As it happens, she disabled the biggest weapon on the vehicle this way, leaving Jack with a shit-ton of vulcan rounds in store and no means to fire them. Still, they were doing alright. They had the firepower to take this puppy d-

FalloutJohn: Hey guys, the weather's turning bad all of a sudden.

FalloutBob: Jack, I see something on-deck. I don't think it's theirs!

FalloutJack: How can you tell?

FalloutBob: It's green!

What Bob had seen was...the sudden appearance of a figure in a soaked black holocaust cloak, one stinking of the sea. The Red Ghoul China soldiers on deck pointed guns and shouted in Chinese, a couple of them even firing. The figure...grew right out of the cloak, tearing it apart as it began to fill the deck with its bulk. The three Enclave and numerous ghouls stared as it now exceeded thirty meters in height! It was...a clammy, sea-born body of dark green, its build somewhere between muscular and flabby. It had...black eyes that only became deeper and blacker the longer you looked. It was...technically humanoid, in that it had two legs supporting a torso with two arms and a head in all the right places. It was, however, a squid. Head large, tapering to a soft-edge point at the top and having a mass of squid tendrils overshadowing a mouth of mandible-like spikes that were its teeth. It had wings, massive wings whose muscles and build would enable it to fly, strong enough to take its bulk. The hands were suckered on the inside and ended in thick black claws, and the feet with ended with claws similar. The creature let out out a hissing, gurgling, shrieking roar...

FalloutJack: What the HELL am I looking at?

And somewhere out there, perhaps at the focal point of all the madness, the answer was to be found:

[HEADING=3]"All hail the paragon son of the Great One!"
"All hail Vorn The Unspeakable!"
[/HEADING]

Ghouls of the Chinese armada fired upon the being from beyond with guns and radiation blasts alike, but the big guns they NEEDED to do it harm were already being torn from their moorings and thrown into the sea. Soon after, it scooped up several of the soldiers and ate of them, its body taking in their energy. Jack saw this and - as the one called Vorn punched out the ship's command bridge, killing its captain - the three of them concentrated fire. The creature roared as vulcan ammo, heavy machine gun ammo, and missles tore into it. Damage, there was, but of a curious kind. It was like the thing was not all here... It winked a few times in existence. Very peculiar... Before they could begin another salvo, though, it spat out a geyser of like a water cannon at them, destabilizing a couple of them for a second. This fiercesome beast came out of nowhere and was now raising hell! WHAT COULD THIS MEAN? well, put simply, it means...

Constance would be woken up by an abrupt static signal being picked up by her radar-sonar ears. Must've happened as a result of hitting her head. Soon, there were voices coming in that were patched through her eardrums specifically, which would be impossible to be heard by her guard.

...Scott ta' base! I've left the Brotherhood a warm reception at the technology museum and I'm en route to the...Yuuurrrrrggghhh...Bastion has not been properly eliminated. He's a giant mutant now and headed for the Empire of Dave...Wwwhhhhiiiirrrrr...Here's a message to everyone at the Enclave: You wanna mess with The Red Menace and The Gauss Girl? Bring it on!...Waaaarrrrrgggghhh...back to base, Stormy. I repeat, come back to...Ffffffzzzzzz...This is Jack! Phase One of Code Red initiated, but we have a bit of a problem here! Uhh...who summoned this giant fucking SQUID?! That is all, over...

These were Enclave transmissions, and on their encoded frequency! Had to be! Jack and Scott were in all likelyhood FalloutJack and FalloutScott, reporting in something about the Brotherhood and...giant squids? Okay, that was weird. Unfortunately, right then, two things happened. Constance stopped receiving transmissions and she realized there was no conceivable way right now to reply even if she still had the signal. She had to get out, though. Hmmm...what would Natsuki do? Well, she'd probably tear this place apart with her incredible vectors, but Constance didn't have that option. Now, however, there were voices from outside her cell.

"Okay, you're relieved. Go take a break, catch a snooze, whatever."

"Oh, thank god! This girl's been driving me up the wall. I'm outta' here."

The guards switched, there was silence, and then there was a note pushed under the cell door. It read...

Greetings,

I am Asset Five. I recognized your outfit before you changed into the one you have now. Not sure what a scout is doing here, but we can't have you in the brig. I've paid off someone to convince the people in charge that your attack was an accident. You should be free within the hour. Do not talk to me or even thank me, as I have been gathering intel and sending it back to base for months. Destroy this message as soon as you're done reading it.

-Five

Of course, the funny part of this was...could Constance read anything written on paper or signs on walls? Was she capable of perceiving images on screens or anything like that? If not, then she would probably find it weird that someone had slipped her a piece of paper like that.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Brotherhood of Steel regulars had heard that the GNR dish was in the Museum of Technology, having been taken there by some agent of the Enclave. It was a six-man team, five with Laser Rifles and one with a Gatling Laser. They had proceeded inside carefully, disarming beartraps and narrowly-avoiding tripwires and mines, for the most part. Well, the suppression specialist stepped on a bottlecap or three, but he was okay. The most-difficult thing so far was a couple of malfunctioning Protectron guides, easily handled. Now, they came to the space room, which had a load of equipment, astronaut dummies, and tire tracks leading out of it. How weird. And there were spare parts lying all over the ground too. Actually, there'd been things like that all throughout the museum and its exhibits too. Weird... Well, they came to the Lunar Lander Module, and they could see in the window the GNR dish!

"Gentlemen, mission accompli-"

"Watch it!"

A series of rockets activated on the lunar lander as some of its extraneous parts fell off to reveal a flying battle pod with machine guns and electro-prods attached to it! The dish was still inside of it, and here it was flying around and shooting at them!

Cannibalized robotics and other parts were built into the thing now, giving it machine-life, and that wasn't all! The astronauts were moving as well! Animatronics were added to make them move and act, and so were Chinese Assault Rifles! The BoS squad took cover as best they could, entering the firefight and sending out a a radio communication:

"Yo, all points! This is Edwards at the Museum of Technology! The damn exhibits are coming to life and the Lunar Lander is flyin' all over the place with the dish inside! Requesting back-up!"

Outside, FalloutScott laughed as he rode away in his new ride: The lunar buggy outfitted with a large rocket engine, zooming across the wasteland with exceptional speed, flanked by his spider-sentries on board, he was laughing as he drove, mere minutes from the ruins of Bethesda.

FalloutScott: To infinity...and beyond!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

At this point, you may be wondering just what was becoming of the now Uber-Mutant, Doctor Bastion, as he headed through Old Onley. Well naturally, he was attacked by Deathclaws. The monster of a man was large enough, however, that they were not a huge threat to him. Oh, they DID claw at his legs, as well as leap to climb higher to get at more vital points, but there were two things wrong with that. First, he had a bit of bodily regeneration, and second...some parts of his body went malleable somewhat in the muscle department to crush them. So, while he was taking a little damage, it was not enough and it wouldn't last. That was when...a shot rang out! Sniper fire, but it wasn't directed towards him. Where did it come from and what exactly did it h-

[HEADING=2]SMACK!![/HEADING]

Bastion was hit in the head by a falling piece of destabilized building.

"If you want to do something properly..."

...you have to do it yourself. Standing on part of the taller ruins, able to swing from building to building with grappling guns, was none other than Mr. Cheekbones [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hncC_s6XlM] himself, David Davidson...AKA FalloutDavid. He was still without a suit, but he'd stocked spares of his favorite Sniper Deluxe at the Empire of Dave. Bastion hurled stones at him and he swung out of the way, into a window, shot several sniper bullets at him, and vanished...presumably with a Stealth Boy. Next thing ya know, a flagpole's been shot out and almost got Bastion in the eye. This was going to get messy, no doubt.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yup, Frank had his ride, his ordinance, his ready and prepared tools... They set off to go for the ruins of Bethesda to deal with the Enclave's giant robot, and were making good time. However, there were two issues that could not be ignored. The pilot was both receiving a distress call from Edwards - who totally sounded like Will Smith for some reason - regarding the Museum of Technology's exhibits 'coming to life' during a mission to re-acquire the dish for GNR. Right after that, she spotted a small white land-vehicle with a rocket engine streaking across the wastes below, heading right for their target. The dust it was kicking up made identification impossible, but how many people could possibly know what was under Rubble Pile #2? It had to be one of them, the enemy. But then, what to do? Edwards and company were surrounded by automated killers at the museum, but this guy was clearly going for the Box! Moral Event Horizon time, Frank. Help the boys of Steel or get in FalloutScott's way? Whichever one he chose would more than likely make things bad for whatever he left alone. Mind you, he COULD send other BoS members to whatever he didn't go for, but they wouldn't be specialists like Rose's Thorns, not unless he redirected Danielle and Marlon. They'd be regulars or maybe decent Paladins, which could help the situation...but resolve it? Who knows?

((OOC: Just a point of reference, Soup, dealing with Scott is as major as dealing with the MGB in terms of roleplay.))

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Meanwhile, there was another emergency at the front gates of the Citadel.

Evan: Open the gates!

BoS Soldier: Who goes there!

Evan: Scribe Ramsey, dammit! OPEN!!

The soldier rapped on the door and shouted open. He knew better than to test Ramsey when he was angry. They knew that he was all Nerd Rage, genius-bruiser, when he was pissed. The Citadel opened up and allowed him and Dudley to drive on inside. Most of the regulars there were looking at the thing tied to and growing around Hayes' car, surprised that Evan had caught one alive. He called for medics to take the car's owner to the infirmary, where hopefully Hayes would recover and be alright. Wasting no time, the young scribe then headed inside to find a computer and began typing at about a mile a minute to recount just what had happened and WHY. Very soon, Sarah Lyons would know everything.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Elsewhere...

There was the wasteland and the hills and the sand, and there was a man riding upon a horse.

...all flags set to negative. Landscape rending complete. Error located in grid 27-17. Deathclaw-19 moving laterally overhead at a rate of 50 MPH. Unknown processes engaged...

Ferdinand Com was some kind of Big McLargeHuge [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Vb2U89EJG4] wastelander one his way from one place to another, no particular direction in his life at all. He seemed to only deal with situations as they come. At this time, a situation found HIM, though. He stopped as he found a...Mysterious Stranger. In fact, it was the most mysterious individual to be found in this place right now. It was...

"Howdy!"

...the glitch-man! How did he get from Megaton to here? No idea! It was a mystery! Also too was the way he hovered towards Ferd without actually walking. His arms stretched out at weird angles, which then proceeded to ensnare both him and the horse, whose last thought was 'Red flag!' before everything changed to weird! The world turned upside-down, he saw a Pipboy, he saw Vorn, he saw the ghouls, he saw Shifty McGee frozen in carbonite, he saw, Doc Bastion and David Davidson fighting, he saw William Knight, and then he appeared quite suddenly...standing right next to Evan, who panicked as he backed away from the computer!

Evan: AGH! What the hell happened?! I didn't do that!

Soldier: Hey, there's a horse out in the hallway!

Ferd? Welcome to the Citadel. You stand among well-armed members of the Brotherhood of Steel, many of whom are armed or even in power-armor. You got some 'splainin' to do, boy.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

For the record, Marlon and Danielle would have seen Evan and Dudley come in with an injured man as they were heading out. They would also have heard Edwards' radio call. However, behind them in the courtyard, Sarah appeared to be taking charge here.

Sarah: Listen up! We've got a man appearing out of nowhere in the lab, a direct report on the Enclave situation, and an attack at the museum of technology where all the exhibits are killer robots now! They're inside and out, shooting at anything that moves! Get me a bird with some soldiers in it and give them a hand!

Proper take-charge attitude for an Elder to have, most definitely. Question is...would they be able to help Edwards in time? True, those two and their enourage had a helluva mission to undertake, but meantime, lives were in danger. Already, Three Dog was giving reports of random people disappearing, and now Sarah was saying someone just popped right into the labs? What in the hell was happening to this world?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The DC Ruins had always been a haven for the mutants of Vault 87, their numbers seeming ever regenerating. Even if you put down a couple dozen, replacements seem to arrive quickly. However, in this case, there was something different in the area. There was an armored foe...riding a robot horse. Super mutants with their various weapons, and at least two master-level mutants, were opening fire on him!

"Put that metal man in thah ground!"

Talion, as he was called as of late, was on sort of a mission. However, he had gotten slightly lost for not knowing the area quite so well. He hd seen what appeared to be the local chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel step into a building - The Museum of Technology - a short while ago, but he had not been able to immediately follow because a contengent of Super Mutants had assailled him from cover and were now taking shots at him. Worse yet, it appears that some sort of robotic dummies with assault rifles were now guarding the museum at all exits, even the roof! This might be a problem...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Nicole had managed to shoot the leading Gary right below the heart, a very good shot! He clutched his chest, muttered something about Gary, and fell to the ground with a thud. All of the other Garys were suddenly turned towards the one who took the shot, and alot of them were quite armed too...

[HEADING=1]"GARY?!"[/HEADING]

Uh oh. Thaaat didn't look good. Then, all of a sudden, they bowed! What the hell?! Were they making her their chief? Seemed like it. They were chanting 'Gary' in reverance now, possibly waiting for her to assume the position of leadership. What in the holy hell...? Why? Just...why? Well, Nicole wouldn't know it, but the Garys were looking for territory to control because their old stomping grounds - Vault 108 - had a bit of a problem... Well, more on that later, if she managed to learn whatever the hell was going on. After all... Who can understand Gary?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

While Larry and Charlie were talking inventions and weaponry, Lucas Simms stepped over and cleared his throat to get their attention for a second.

Simms: I just wanted to come over hear and fill you two in on things, about the bomb. Several years ago, I asked the kid - the guy who lived in the house those Brotherhood boys are in now - to disarm it, make it incapable of exploding. It still serves the Church, of course, being still somewhat active and all, but it will never go off now. He said he took out vital components that ya probably can't replace. So...an accident of that level just won't happen. That's all now. Just wanted you to know.

The Sheriff moved to go about his rounds now. He knew everything about Megaton and the surrounding area. No doubt, he would be useful for information later.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Well, what exactly could be said for Team Lucy - composed of Lucy, Sylph, Johnny, Beryl, Alice, and William - except that...it's raining men! One cannot say what form exactly the Widowmaker took, save for it being a short bus, but apparently...it was capable of lunching people over great distances. Thaaat was both sick and amusing at once. Unfortunately, it wasn't the only weird thing going on. It had only happened for few seconds, but a figure in a black and wet holocaust cloak that smelled horribly of the sea appeared behind Johnny and attempted to throttle him. It had clawed and clammy hands, a black-eyed green squid-face, and gurgle-roared when it did so. And then, as mysteriously as it came...it was gone! Flying human ordinance continued to be flung from its origin point, though this time there was an important difference. Remember when we said there was an additional Mysterious Stranger, one whose attire wasn't too different from Alice's? Well, that one was on a roof with a sniper rifle, and quite hard to see and probably harder to hit, firing at flying people with a reasonable success rate with a sniper rifle, thus altering their trajectories. Wasn't there a Mel Brooks film that had something like this in it...?

Frank was merrily flying to a box, with the mission of making a deconstructionist analysis art piece about pinatas.
"Yo, all points! This is Edwards at the Museum of Technology! The damn exhibits are coming to life and the Lunar Lander is flyin' all over the place with the dish inside! Requesting back-up!"
That sounded like Paladin James Edwards.
"Aw hell naw! We got to help him..."
[Perception]Frank saw an Enclave troop on a modified rover on one of the bird's screens.
[Intelligence]...Lunar rover, Lunar lander-bot. Could be a coincidence, but Frank sincerely doubted it.
[Striking points]Cut off the head, kill the body.
[Science]"...Syl, align us with that vehicle, and match speed! Maintain elevation!
"On it!"
Frank opened the side hatch, and looked down at the rover.
The Fat cat looked at Frank incredulously.
""Maintain elevation"? You're planning to jump out of here? Are you crazy?"
"Yes."
Frank had answered both his questions with one syllable.
Sylvia chimed in.
"Crazy's his defining character trait."
[Tactics]"Once I'm out, swing by the nearest Brotherhood hotspot. Most likely GNR, and pick up some reinforcements. Drop off the bombs when you do to minimize risk."
Frank jumped out the side.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Terminal velocity is essentially the speed-limit for falling. It's the point where the drag from the air you're passing is equal to earth's gravity.
Frank's spurs were modified displacer glove parts that created a shockwave that countered the force from a fall. Frank could not take fall damage, even from the 100 foot drop he was taking. (A human would need to fall for about 1800 feet to achieve terminal velocity anyways.
[Hide of Iron]Frank fell with far more grace than usual for some reason. He felt nimble. Agile. It was a strange feeling, but it ensured he would land feet-first, although he was most certainly going to obliterate whatever he landed on even without the 50 damage apiece from the spurs, being 500 pounds and falling very fast.
What he happened to land on was a rover.
"Car trouble?"

The horses immediate response to something walking close?
Kick it's face. Because faces are annoying.
When those things are robots?
Kick Harder.
It flailed about, landing a kick on the knight who dared come close to him, as it turned and glared at the remainder of the knights, DARING them to come close.[hr]Ferdinand was completely and utter lost.
"I have no idea. Where am I?..."
Realizing that asking someone that was probably very, very rude, he began to flail with his pockets, and pulled out the first thing he could find.
"Do you want any... Thermite?" he said, holding out the powder.
He watched as the knights pointed their lazer rifles at him.
"No?.. Are you sure?... Alright..." he said, idly putting it back in his pocket, his sword clanking.
He held out his hand to the Knights, "I am Ferdinand Com, though you can just call me Com or Doctor Com."
Their response could best be described as 'What the hell is going on.
[hr]
THEIR DAMN HEADS! WHY ARE THEY STILL STANDING!
No matter how hard the horse kicked, they wouldn't fall.
Eventually, he gave up and simply glared at all of them.

Ferdinand sprinted out, to comfort his steed.
Which his steed didn't really like so he tried to kick his face in too.
Eventually, he managed to get him down to a state where he wouldn't try to kick everyone's face off.
"Calm down, calm down! It's just us, it's not like we're Officers! Calm down, they're not Officers, they won't make you mount a dog again!"
Their was another kick to his face, as he got up again, "Alright, sorry, I won't bring it up again." he said, patting the horse on the mane.
He looked to the others, and Idly waved at the soldiers.
"So... Yeah... You guys want to know why I'm here..."
He sat down, pulling out a large block of ramen, and then proceeded to try to eat it raw.
"Basically, a guy attacked me..." he said, begining his long and epic story of how he got here.

Larry explained his other inventions to charlie as well has his deal with simms, he then started working on more weapons

weapont patch two:
weapon 1:Choo-balista
A motified version of the railway rifle that fires larger costum made amunition, effectifly large metale stakes. This is not a hand held weapon but a mounted weapon to be used for defensive porpouses. The defualt ammunition is desgined to take out large single targets mainly vertibirds(hitting the cockpit or another vital part), Larry also made some rounds that have modified microfusion cells in them for explosive effects that are desgined to be used against groups. After each shot the Choo-balista must be manually reloaded by placing the next shot down the barral and left to build the necassary pressure for the next shot (takes about 10-15 seconds).

weapon 2:Scalpel shot
Using the kinetic energy storage device from the super sledge this two ahnded rifle launches 4 scalpals, each of which is fused onto some uninsulated wiring which has been turned into costum made metal wires. The button on the right side of the gun causes the wires to retract. The button on the left hand side of the gun electrify the wires. These two functions only work when the gun is loaded with a microfusion cell, otherwise the wires have to be handcranked back after each shot. This gun is desgined ot be used against unarmoured or low armoured targets at close to medium range.

Larry explained each weapon to charlie as he worked on them. After finishing the scalpel shot simms approached I just wanted to come over hear and fill you two in on things, about the bomb. Several years ago, I asked the kid - the guy who lived in the house those Brotherhood boys are in now - to disarm it, make it incapable of exploding. So...an accident of that level just won't happen. That's all now. Just wanted you to know.

Larry turned to charlie and said 'good to know that the bomb won't go off by accident, still doesn't change the fact that what you did was far from the smartest thing to do'

Danielle was about to head out, when the Elder started giving orders.
"Listen up! We've got a man appearing out of nowhere in the lab, a direct report on the Enclave situation, and an attack at the museum of technology where all the exhibits are killer robots now! They're inside and out, shooting at anything that moves! Get me a bird with some soldiers in it and give them a hand!"
Brotherhood troops were trained professionals, a regular squad should be fine. She had a job to do.
And with that they headed out.
[Perception]Once outside, Danielle saw an eastbound convoy of vehicles to her west. Two jeeps on either side, a semi-truck in the rear, and an armored limousine with a minigun on top. Bloom. The semi-truck was most likely hauling construction materials, or trade goods, the jeeps were escorts for the other two/personnel carriers, and the limo was for a prominent member of the Bloom corporation. Possibly bloom himself.
While Rivet City was quite close, it was still a decent walk, and Bloom corp was often willing to lend rides to the Brotherhood, as the extra protection in a scuffle was always a help.
Danielle flagged down the convoy.
"Any chance we can hitch a ride?"

"What the frozen noodle soup kind of story is that? This is weird, and I mean like flying deathclaws weird." Evan was still trying to process what had just happened. Ferdinand and a horse had just burst out of nowhere and offered some thermite. Then Ferdinand had told an amazing story about how he had arrived in the middle of the Citadel. "Say have you ever seen a flying deathclaw? I'm sure I once did."

Evan realised he was babbling slightly, though it was quite understandable. Hayes had been wheeled off to get treatment and Rotty the ghoul had been taken off for examination. Evan had finally got a moment to sit down and type when... whatever just happened, happened. "I... err, I'm a bit confused, just tell me about yourself?" Evan gave a cheesy grin, this happened when he tried to be a people person.

=====================================

Meanwhile Dudley was busy raiding a fridge for some snacks. Salisbury steak seemed the most abundant thing on the proverbial menu and Dudley was famished. After the hardest ride he had ever endured and the loss of his beloved motorcycle, Dudley took comfort in food.

"Aint it just like ya always say huh? In over ya head all the time. Steak and bail eh Dudley?" At this point Dudley was considering asking for some compensation pay from the Brotherhood and taking off. Either to report failure to Morgan Bloom and invoke his wrath or go long distance and retrieve his bike.

And after that? What would Morgan Bloom do? Dudley thought about a life on the road, drifting from town to town trying to keep his head down and make a few caps from odd jobs. It didn't appeal to him so much. Dudley would stay around... for now.

Ferdinand looked at his face.
"Is something wrong with your face?" Was all he could really say to the Cheezy Grin. He's not one for Cheezy grins.
"Anyway, As I told you, I am Ferdinand Com, Doctor Com, Ferdinand, Dot Com, or It's simple figure it out, depending on who you're asking." he said to the Knight, "I came here via my steed, was attacked, I'm from a alternate universe that doesn't run on fifties logic, and I learned swordfighting from Don Quixote." He said, idly walking his horse into the room.

"I came here via my steed, was attacked, I'm from a alternate universe that doesn't run on fifties logic, and I learned swordfighting from Don Quixote."

"Who is Don Quixote?" Asked Evan, following Ferdinand and his horse. Though not following too closely, that thing kicked viciously. The Knights and Paladins had Power Armour helmets which protected them, Evan didn't. Besides a sharp knock to the head would put off his questions.

"What alternate universe, and what do you mean by fifties logic? I'm so confused."

Charlie watched with fascination as Larry explained all of his recent creations, occasionally asking questions about their capabilities and mechanics. The stripped down power armor he found particularly intriguing.

"It can't be easy moving with all that metal weighing you down... Is the extra protection really worth giving up your mobility? I thought half the appeal of power armor was that the internal motors allowed you to still move easily? If you take those out you'll have to be really strong just to walk, even if the weight is reduced."

He sat down on a nearby box and continued watching as Larry moved onto entirely new creations. The questions died off as his appreciation of Larry's skill grew.

"Man this guy is really good with his hands... and inventive too. I'd never have thought up half of these crazy gadgets myself.

Absorbed as he was in Larry's work, Charlie didn't notice the man who had approached them until he was standing right next to them. Looking up and noting the cowboy hat and badge, he realized this must be the sheriff Larry had struck a deal with.

"I just wanted to come over hear and fill you two in on things, about the bomb. "Oh it's been disarmed? Well that's disappointing... I mean that's good! Wouldn't want to go and blow the town up now would we hehehe... Wait did he just say Brotherhood? The Brotherhood of Steel is in this town?! Is he serious? Oh man this is too good to be true!"

"good to know that the bomb won't go off by accident, still doesn't change the fact that what you did was far from the smartest thing to do"

Charlie turned to Larry, so excited that he didn't even register what the bigger man was saying.

"Did he just say that The Brotherhood of Steel is in this town? Do you know where? Oh man I have to talk to them, I did not expect to find them here! This is the greatest thing I've heard all day! Please please please, you have to take me to them! I'll do anything!"
