The reasons i perfer Runescape to wow

I decided to do this because i noticed there are a lot of Escapists that hate Runescape.
before you wow fans start flaming I'm not saying that wow is a bad Game cause that would be
a lie it is a good Game i admit that.

1: The first reason i like Runescape is because of the quests. in Runescape each quest has its own little story line witch makes them a whole lot more enjoyable to do. In wow the quests are just the same thing over and over again just with different people, areas and monsters.The quests in wow are either Killing, Collecting, Delivery or Escort witch after about level 30 got extremely boring for me.

2: The second reason is graphics over the last few years Jagex has been doing things to improve Runescapes Graphics. with the release of Runescape HD the Graphics are now about three times better Graphics than what most runescape ranters think.I will post a link to HD version at bottom of the post.

3: my final reason for liking Runescape more than wow is that it is more designed for people who do not have a whole lot of time for Gaming.its simple and easy and takes no skill to play witch is helpful if you don't have the time to gain skill.In wow you have to be somewhat fast to be able to beat some monsters and player in battle most casual gamers are not this fast and wouldn't have the time to get into wow like a lot of kids do.


Runescape is not a bad Game just designed more for people without a lot of time on there hands.

wow is also not a bad Game but i just could not get into it because of it needing to much time.

One of the main reasons: the community. Ofcourse there are some dickheads, but most of the players ive met are really mature and friendly. Cant say that about runescape...

I played Runescape since the beginning... people complain about the graphics now, they'd cry if they saw Classic!

I dropped out of it quite a while ago though; I'd reached the point where it wasn't fun for me anymore. I'd beaten all the quests, and between quests I had nothing to do - levelling took ages, I had more money than I'd ever need, I'd bought everything I'd ever wanted... I had nothing left to do except merchant for 10 minutes a day to make a few mill a week, and wait for the next Quest.


This isn't a flaw of the game as such, it's just that I'd played it for over six years... when you can walk from Phasmys to Yannile blindfolded, it's time to find something else to do.

Bollocks it is! My daily Farming Circuit took me across the entire map, and I could do my farming in under 15 minutes (not 15 minutes traveling, 15 minutes travelling and farming!).

You just have to learn how to get around, that's all.

In my opinion Runescape is too narrow. The places aren't as wide and open as in WoW, and the quest are just what we in wow call questlines. Also i don't see the great improvement in graphics.

You have a lot more freedom to personalize your character in WoW (Lot's of different gear to choose from, speccs, classes) while you in RS only can choose a few sets, that all look alike except color (And dragon looks differently).

Also RS's bosses are mostly tank'n'spank. In WoW we have certain tactics and stuff that needs to be done to deafeat bosses (Certain movement patterns, target priority shifting, sometimes need of extreme burst DPS)

Wow that screenshot was HD graphics? I'd expect better from my old PS1 to be honest...
