I'd be skeptical of the whole thing. If it's possible to just kill one person at the touch of a button, obviously reality is not what it initially seemed, and maybe stupid things like karma and heaven actually do exist...
On the other hand, people die all the time. The death of your parents is already pretty much guaranteed in life, but so rarely do we acquire wealth without wasting heaps of time and effort. The only thing better than being wealthy is being wealthy while you're still young. I think I'd push it.
Also, make this thread a poll.

I'd wait until my great grandmother was on her death bed............................................I think you see where this is going
yep,I do

you press the button but instead of your great grandmother it is your favourite family member and you live in despair.

am I right?I hope I'm right.mine's funny
silly rabbit I kill someone, and then watch everyone else get double depressed as 2 people died, gulping down anti depressants while driving my new car to my new house with a mediceine cabinet full of drugs (mostly ant idepressiants) that way I'll wait about a week then since there is a tiny chance that I actually killed someone
I actually know (big family man I could have killed my 3rd cousin) I get off scot free

Thinking realistically, I guess I would take the key, because if I did press the button, I'd have to kill a family member, probably resulting in me ending up in prison and not being able to enjoy the money and car and whatnot anyway.

Now if there would be no consequenses (now, the OP didn't mention any, but I'm assuming there are, since realistically, killing people has consequences) for killing a family member, though...

The key. I love them too much.

And I'm not the person who can easily kill somebody without regret-

unless they attack me first.

Okay, I didn't make this too clear.
Press the button: No consequences, you get out scot free. And it's your immediate family, i.e Mother, Father, Brother, Sister and maybe your Uncle, Aunt, Cousin.

I'd take the key.
Wtf is with all the people willing to let a random family member die? It's not even the family member you like least, it could be your favorite...
I just wouldn't be able to deal with that, even for a huge sum of money.

You know, I saw a short movie almost exactly like this called "Black Button" but the person wasn't a family member. The guy pressed the button and
he finds out that he's already dead and it was a test to see if he should go to heaven or hell. He then goes to hell.
Don't press the button!

That's what I watched! I just forgot exactly how it ended!

I agree don't push it. You don't need any more bad karma :p

No way in hell would I press that button. How would I be able to live knowing that one of my family members was dead, and I caused their death? Besides that, there's the fact that I would be suspicious of anything that would pay me to kill somebody. It could be a trap, or a test.

Also being adapted into a movie called The Box. (I think.)

And I'd take the key and tell him to go shove the button so far up his arse he could press it with his tongue.

Its a hard choice. The only person in my family I'd honestly worry about dying from it is my dad, and he's not dead yet. So ask me again in 20 years. (He's 65 right now)

Key.

Even though I hate everyone in my family (other than my mom and dad who I wuv vewy vewy much) I don't want to take the chance that the "random person from my family" might be my mom or dad.

The Key because keys are shiny and look nice and well, killing someone in your family for all that is not worth it

button, were all gona die sometime and I can fathom a hell of a lot of money so I'd be able to pass my family fortune onto the next generation
