Just recently Ubisoft has announced Might and Magic X:Legacy as soon as I saw this I squeed , as not only is this my favprite series of all time, but the game looks amazing. I have always loved the MnM series starting since 6 and still play them up to today, hell I just re-downloaded 7&8 today from Gog. Since I have heard nothing about the game AnyWHERE! and I found it just by sheer luck I wanted to share the news with my fellow friends here at this site.

My only disappointment is the continued lack of connectivity to the Universes of Enrath & Axeoth, and no mention of the Powerful Kreegan.

So my friends what do YOU think of this revival?

Part of me is glad they kept the classic style of first person party style but as I never actually liked the goddamn interface part of me dislikes it. I miss Enroth and Erathia in M&M since homm3 to be fair, a throwback to that setting would be great but I suppose everything will take place in Ashan now and it might as well considering Heroes is there anyway.

Really they should of stuck with the strategy heroes might and magic 3. The reason why 5 + 6 H.O.MM failed hard I.M.O was the dumbing down of resources, the poor mechanics and slow interface, less factions, less monsters, less cool artifacts and less encounters.

Number 3 is arguable the best because it had everything, it was simple rules that were clean and effective. No waiting for the hero to run through the enemy during combat with a 1 minute warcry and all the troops clanging their sheilds every single turn. It became a chore, unlike number 3 where the battles were done quickly, the enemy fled or attacked you.

No this game is refreshing to see, but its more evidence that they have not learned to listen to what players want and refer to what made them successful in the first place. I expect this to be made poorly even though evidence would dictate otherwise.

If they would have made heroes 5 exactly like heroes 3, but in 3d or whatever new and beautiful graphics they can do now, I would have liked it . or maybe not.
