Liverpool accents, easy on the ear? Haha, My housemate from Grimsby's complained that she can't understand my friend who's got a Scouse twang, let alone a full blown accent! Interestingly they say the Scouse accent is influenced by the Irish accent due to all the Irish immigrants that settled there (my great-grandparents included), so maybe you wouldn't have much difficulty understanding Scousers.Hipsy_Gypsy said:Haha! I imagined that being said in a Belfast accent as well; fits either perfectly, though I'm sure a Liverpool one would be much easier on the ear!
For some reason i can't help but read this in some sort of weird Yorkshire accent. o.0Though, depending on how broad, it might go more like (and emphasise the 'R's!), ''Ere wee lawd, duhrs an eecebuhrg o'er err!'
Well there's the usual special exhibits and church services in memory of those who died, including the unveiling a memorial...but interestingly i remember reading in the Liverpool Echo that they've done a "Titanic themed cruise"...wherever that features a Scouser shouting "Aw mate, look at that big fuckin' iceberg lad!" from the crows nest moments before ploughing into it i know not. What are they like in Liverpool? Are you guys having any ceremonies as well? I wasn't in town long enough today to see anything but I guess I should be relieved!
Sorry to hear you still get bomb scares in Northern Ireland btw, i don't envy you for putting up with that shit at all.
