"The Room" equivalent in gaming?

Most of us have heard of Tommy Wiseau's monster of a bad movie, The Room [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Room_%28film%29]. And, if you haven't, you should definitely fix that. It's one of those films that's generally seen as either so bad it's good, or so bad it's terrible. It's so bad-yet-somehow-enjoyable that it's literally started up a tradition, I've heard, in which it's screened every year at some place in California, and everyone goes dressed in tuxedo's and throws spoons at the screen.

So, what's the gaming equivalent? What's a game that is viewed by some as bad-yet-enjoyable, and by everyone else as bad-no-matter-what? What's a game that somehow manages to make everyone either cringe or chuckle, just at its mentioning?

To start us off, I'm going to say Two Worlds.

I'm gonna say postal.

Because in the end, we all thought it was cool to drench someone with gasoline, set them on fire and piss them out.

If only once.

I don't know many games like that because if it's getting a bad rep then I usually stay away from it. However, I played X-Men Origins: Wolverine and thoroughly enjoyed it while a lot of people said it was crap.

Idk I guess being able to launch myself 20 feet in the air and land perfectly on a guard claws first really brings out my animalistic nature. Kind of like the road rage events in Burnout: Paradise City

I'm gonna go right ahead and say Deadly Premonition.

It's pretty good but it has massively mixed reviews.

Plus the acting + story are laughable in an amazing way...

But see, the thing about movies like The Room and Troll 2 and the remake of The Wickerman is that they're so awful that they can actually be really fun to watch...provided you watch those movies with a bunch of friends and pick them apart constantly.

Meanwhile if a game has mechanics/gameplay that are truly, horrendously awful, I doubt they could ever be fun to play. So I'm not sure if the analogy really holds.

But anyway, I nominate Superman 64. Probably the worst game I've personally ever played.

I love Deadly premonition, it's a guilty pleasure of mine :) I do agree with you though.

I'm gonna think outside the box here and say that the game equivalent of "The Room" is "The Room Tribute".

You can drive backwards at over 10,000,000,000 miles per hour! What's not to love?

I love it too... I should get round to finishing it soon, but it seems unintentionally ilarious sometimes.

Predictions from the milk in his coffee :'D

No one has made a Silent Hill 4 joke yet? I am disappointed.

But I am going to have to agree with the OP on Two Worlds.

In hindsight, I'd also like to state Battletoads.

Yes, I know, it's terrible.

But I somehow find it to be... Satisfying? Certainly not fun, but something that's great when you've got buddies.

Deadly premonition dude. It's every bit as incredible awesome, and stupid + ridiculous as The Room is.

Naughty Bear! I enjoyed it for what it was, but it got slammed like I've never seen before. Read IGN's review. It's actually one of the worst reviews I have ever seen.

If you consider that one a bad movie, you haven't seen anything. There's a whole world out there filled with strange and ridiculous plots (I've watched a movie called Zebraman...and liked it)

I'm going to go with Postal, as well. It amused me and shocked me at the same time.
