Pixar films- Toy stories and UP. Toy story hit me hard because I grew up at the same stages andy did. I still have a stuffed panda who has been watching over me since I was in an incubator, and was bought for me by my dad's RAF squadron from a charity shop.

Spoilers for The Grey below:
I can't find a video of it (which is a damn shame), but the scene in The Grey where Diaz asked to be left behind was brutal, even more so because I completely understood his reasons for doing so and had just started to really like the character.

Ooph.. what a cheery thread this is.

A lot of the ones I wanted to post have already been posted. So I'll probably just go with this one.

Misato was easily my favourite character out of Evangelion. Anno is such a bastard for this sort of beautifully well done tragedy.
I don't know what this is, but now I have to watch it. Hmm.

Oh Jesus...

If you've never watched EoE, then you need to know that it's the film finale to a 26 episode series, Neon Genesis Evangelion, which you'll want to watch first if you want to have any fucking clue what's going on.

That said, don't expect either the series or the film to make a huge amount of sense. Evangelion is legendary for how batshit insane and mind-screwy it is. Like, people are still debating online over a decade onwards just what it all means. It's one of those sort of shows.

Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely fucking brilliant. But I'd only recommend it if you're a fan of surreal storytelling. And don't mind depressing subject matter...

...oh so much depressing subject matter...
Oh? Colour me interested. If EoE is The End of Evangelion, what's the beginning? I'm a lazy researcher.

The death of the father at the end of The Road. Powerful stuff right there.

One of the single saddest bits in a movie ever, was this. Everyone who has seen the show, and the two part movie re-make of the show, knows what this is.

This is slightly less sad, but still pretty sad if you have seen the show, and the two part movie remake.

Okay, this isn't the saddest scene EVER, but I defy anyone to keep a dry eye when Freddie sings the chorus!

That one gets me every damn time.

Gah people....use Spoilers in your answers. For those of us with a bit slower internet we don't need all these Youtube videos on the page.

At least here...

...we saw her die. I can't tell you how fucking crazy I went when I saw the final episode, and those two quick shots of Misato and Ritsuko lying dead popped up, without any explaination or follow-up.

And this was when EoE was yet to be released.

Up. If you've watched it, you know which part.

Also, end of Schindler's list. But that's kind of an obvious one.

Imagine what he is going to do in Rebuild 4.
Well, the Rebuild movies are more of an extra to me rather than an actual continuation or remake, so I can be patient.

Still, I really fucking wanna see Rebuild 3.

The one scene that always makes me cry is the scene in Miss Potter when she finds out about her publisher boyfriend dying.
The music also amplifies it.
Something so sad about not being able to mourn because no one know about your relationship with the guy.
