Games never make me sad. I do think it is sad that people actualy like playing Heavy Rain. It freaks the crap out of me.

Spoiler: Persona 3 spoilers ahoy

When the protagonist, Minato Arisato, died in Aigis' arms after defeating Nyx. She'd only just discovered the meaning of life and what it meant to be 'human' and it was strongly suggested (and confirmed if you did her S.Link) that she loved him too. It solidified the game's message about the fragility of life and accepting death, even the death of those around you, as well as finding a meaning for your life instead of wasting it and / or longing for death or "the end", as that is what had brought about the Fall in the first place and summoned Nyx

Other than that, probably the end of FFX.

Right, i suppose this links to one of my previous posts; so what do you guys think is the saddest moment in any game youve ever played? Endings dont count though!

For me, Gears of War 2 wins it i reckon, when you find [is it Dom's? I dont remember his name!] wife and he has to mercy kill her. that was really upsetting.

Anyone agree? or have any worse moments? :O

i was so sad after that and since i was playing as Dom i just went all out on the locust

OT: I have no clue, I don't usually get sad in games.
Edited after looking at all the spoiler boxed comments: *facepalm*, also the thing between Dom having to kill Maria isn't sad for me at all, say that I have no soul all you want, because I probably don't.

The ending of Megaman Zero 4 had to be one of the only times a video game has made me sincerely sad, otherwise I'm usually pretty detached
