1.Silent Hill 2(By far my fave. THE prime example of what the gaming industry can achive.)

2.MGS1 (Before the series started to become stupid, possibly the most memorable game I have played.)

3.Hitman Blood Money (The replay value is amazing, a perfect example of non-linear gameplay without a vast or sandbox enviorment.)

4.Portal (Innovitive, enjoyable, funny, fast-paced, solid gameplay... this list goes on.)

5.Klonoa (Very uniqe gameplay that never tires, a cult classic.)

Civilization
Master of Magic
Grim Fandango
Dragon Age: Origins
Half-Life

Civilization was one of the first attempts to make a strategy game for a broader audience, but without compromising depth. One of the most addictive and replayable games ever made.

Master of Magic used a similar scale as Civilization, but attempted a game with more depth and complexity. The result was a game that was harder to get into, but ended up being one of the most challenging and deep strategy games ever made.

Grim Fandango had the funniest, most touching and weirdest story ever seen in a computer game.

Dragon Age: Origins was a reboot of the original RPG genre, at first glance Baldur's Gate with fancy graphics. The attention to detail in every aspect is however unmatched by any RPG so far.

Half-Life was the first and maybe so far the only shooter with a story that made us care about it. It had a simplified level layout compared to Doom, but without suffering from the hallway syndrome, that almost all other modern shooters do.
