I don't really get this. I'm pretty indifferent to the issue (I vastly prefer sex with people, thanks) but I don't understand why some people get so upset and offended over the idea of sex robots.Bobular said:I've already seen groups form in protest over this.
Same reason people protest any other fetish or gays (and I bet it'll be the same people mostly), people are having sex differently to me and should stop it.renegade7 said:I don't really get this. Huge difference between a vibrator/fleshlight and a Sean Connery/Scarlett Johanson sexbot.madwarper said:I hope no one tells these "researchers" that vibrators and fleshlights already exist, and have been in use for years.
That is true. Vibrators and fleshlights are pretty much the ultimate in objectifying the opposite sex by reducing them to mere sexual objects. Sexbots on the other hand is an attempt to anthropomorphize objects by making objects closer to a person.Metalix Knightmare said:Huge difference between a vibrator/fleshlight and a Sean Connery/Scarlett Johanson sexbot.madwarper said:I hope no one tells these "researchers" that vibrators and fleshlights already exist, and have been in use for years.

Anyway, I'm reminded of the recent British TV series Humans.
