I don't get people liking any British accents except Irish. Mainly because I'm British and I constantly around British people. I don't get liking other European accents either.

I can't say I don't mind Russian accents. Same with American[footnote]Except for Valley Girl and Southern accents. Bleh.[/footnote] ones.
I like me a British accent...and I have an American accent (Plain old midwest, not southern or valley girl. Like Moviebob's broadcast voice). I don't know why I like British accents...they just sound so sweet and smart. And I don't get how anyone can like American accents, though it's probably the same thing. I'm around them so much they have no appeal.
Not every British Accent surely? Some of the ones in England are especially offensive to the ears, eg. Scouse (Liverpool), which is practically a separate language:

uurgh.

Personally, I like Irish accents. I know a couple of girls from Cork (no idea of that's a rough part of Ireland or not) but they have nice voices, to my ears at least. I know again, that Ireland has loads of regional accents, but I'll go for that one.

I find it funny how people will say any Slavic accent is "Russian". Uh, no, could be Czech, Serbian, Slovenian, Polish...

I love me some accents of the Italian variety, very pleasing to my ear.

French too, and I don't really know why.

Brummy is the accent of love: Oi luv yow, yow moike moi feel loike a zepheer on a soomers doi.

Enchanting!

OT: It's got to be Welsh. If I could find me a nice lady with a welsh accent (or even just do an impression of one) then I'd never need to leave the house again.

I've always meant to ask you... but which 'British' accent in particular? Even British English accents are as varied as American accents. Pretty much every county (of which there are 83) has their own local accent. London by itself has seven geographical accents...

That said (my last post, that is), despite everything, I don't mind a mild Louisiana accent...
I've taken to the assumption that it means a deep West Country accent, a la the Wurzels. :)

Personally, I don't think I find any accent sexy, per se. I'm more a fan of what's being said, than how.

Really? General consensus I hear is that Welsh is a good accent to use if you want someone to sound like a dumbass.

And I say this as a Welshman, I personally don't think there's anything sexy about it.

OT: Nothing particular, although RP is always pleasant to hear.

Or... that's just him. I do not know and to be honest I do not care.
Now if you excuse me, I need to go lie down, cuddle my blanket and hit play.

I'm another person who is partial to Irish accents, they've just always sounded pleasant to me and bring a smile to my face. There is also a boy who I had several classes with last semester that came from South Africa, his accent was pretty pleasing to hear. Russian accents are also pretty nice.

I have an... American I guess? I've always considered the way I talk to be 'sans-accent' but I suppose that is due to me hearing that all my life. I actually come from southern america though(a very rural area in Florida to be specific), so I'm surprised I don't have a southern accent(which my mom gets onto me about). =I

Any accents from anywhere in western and northern Europe (apart from England and Wales) can do it for me, it just depends on the girl's voice.

According to an American friend of mine, Welsh accents are almost indistinguishable from a standard British accent. Which is certainly cause to celebrate, at least when I get around to visiting the States.

People from Wales...they're called Welsh. Welshmen. Sheep, etc. It's also the language they speak, which sounds like Elvish from LOTR. Except most of them don't speak it because oppression etc.

If Chuck here is any indication, some of my countrymen don't even know Wales exists.

Does it exist? Now that I think on it. I've never actually met anyone from Wales.

Just got super ninja'd by this guy, so I'll choose a third one.

I love Barbadian accents and most accents from the Caribbean. Rihanna is from Barbados and I dare to say that her accent is hawt.
