I have an urge to play The Sims 2 again. It's been a while and I'm a few expansions behind, but it's one of those games that can grab me for hours. I tend to switch houses every few hours (real-time) to keep things fresh as well as to tell the stories in parallel as much as the game mechanics allow.

Four generations of amazing Slacker action.

Seriously.

I made a couple with the Family aspiration and the Slacker aspiration, had them make lots of babies, and then gave all the kids the slacker career. I had an army of caddies!

I've kept my Sims alive for several generations, but I have cheats to speed up the
old phase of their lives...at that stage it's beyond boring and the clothes for the old generation are hideous....But on the whole, the Sims rock my world :)

why would I ever want to make the sims happy? I only played the first Sims, but I loved just making their lives as miserable as possible... like having only one toilet... completely blocked off. Walling up any neighbors who mistakenly thought it was a nice place to visit.

I remember spending months building one shopping mall on the biggest piece of land available at a friends house. it had 5 restaurants plus a food court, a "movie theater", a gym, a half dozen clothing stores and a few clubs as well as an indoor swimming pool fountain thing. building is the only thing that's fun about that game really

About 5 minutes. Thats usually when I watch the house I spent hours on burn down... I find it very therapeutic watching a Sim burn to death in his giant mansion.

Let's see, it took me about two hours to get the house exactly the way I wanted it, I had it going for half an hour more... and it crashed. I stopped playing after that, I still design houses for my sis occassionally though.

Hmmm... I used to collect sims gravestones, death by drowning, death by starvation, what ever it took, I'd have myself a new gravestone. Stupid neighbours, they never learned.

However it longs to get them through Uni in Sims 2 uni.

Either that or how it takes to enter the move all cheat then put them in a doorless room with a fire. >:]

The second my Sim started wetting himself, I knew I had to end it all.
They have ridiculous needs that Im not willing to fulfill.

How is it that I could play that game for 5-6 hours without needing the toilet, but my Sim couldnt go 30 seconds without wetting himself.

You guys are all sick bastards...and so am I. I can keep a Sim happy nearly indefinitely, but that's usually because I make one poor guy that's my personal punching bag. I'll experiment with him, take what I learned, and use it on the good Sims. He was a miserable little guy, but it was for the good of the people. >:D

About ten minutes or so. I got tired of trying to keep them happy, so I put in the cheat-code for tons of money and bought a bunch of flammable objects and waited for them to catch themselves on fire.

That was great.

I don't really know, I haven't had that many families die on me in Sims. I just started with one or two characters and kept them happy and learning enough to get promoted all the time and then when I had much more money than I knew what to do with, I got bored and started another. Or stopped playing it for a while...

i made a Graveyard one time in the Sims 1, a small pool, sell the ladder while a Family of 8 is there, and one by one letting em drown, then i made the Crypt Keeper

I always say that I'm gonna create a massive family line and have loads of generations... then I get bored after the first.

I think I kept about ten generations happy, then I grew tired of the them and ruined their lives... I never found the sims 2 that difficult unless there were several small children in one house and the family has little money. I think it's a great game, but too easy to play over a long period of time.
