That's nothing new bro. Only reason I got my politics degree was by using Wikipedia and Google Books to find sources.

How to write a research paper:

1. Place words on a page to to the necessary word count.
2. Cite sources that agree with your claims.
3. If more citations are needed, quote non-contradictory sources and cite them.

And people say the education system is a joke.

Pick something. ANYTHING and see how many clicks it takes to get to Hitler
From Bioware it takes 9 clicks. haha
I got 4 clicks

OT. I used Wikipedia for practically every assignment up until year 11 when teachers started to specifically state that no one could use wikipedia on any one of the assignments. Once i used that Einstein quote "2 things are infinite; the universe and human stupidity... And i'm not to sure on the universe." The teacher didn't think it was real and gave me an E. I didn't really care about grades then so i din't clarify it to him.
Me too! Bioware;Galway;Mayor;Germany;Hitler.

OT: I don't remember what the paper was about, but I cited The Wizard of Oz for something once. If I remember correctly I got an A.

A writing class required that the students keep a journal and write something (nothing specific) per page every week. I used roleplaying character profiles I'd made up in middle school (written in paragraph form because I had a lot of time on my hands back then). I simply typed up (some were handwritten) or printed out three of them every week (grammar corrected and edited for voice and whatnot)...

The teacher thought I was a genius.

What, in the god I don't believe's name, was the quote? We all want to know.
Like I mentioned a few posts up, "the only way it could be any more awesome would be if it had tits and was on fire." I said it about Voltaire's Candide. Said my professor: "Thank you. You have no idea how tedious it can be to read student papers. You actually have writing ability and your stuff is funny."

My mate used a book that he invented in an exam, as well as a song he wrote, in one exam. I have another friend who moved away who showed me a genius essay, about whether some novel or other was good (I can't exactly remember the question, but it pertained to the worth of the text). he was quite clearly meant to write about the novel in a positive light, but as the question was a little more open ended then that he chose to write how terrible it was, and cited A) one of his own poems and B) the essay he was writing. He cited the essay he was writing in the essay he was writing, itself! is that legal?

I don't care what people say about Wikipedia, it's the greatest thing on the interenet. Even if teachers are picky about it, I still use Wikipedia as a confirming source a lot.

I once had to take care of a BTIO Baby for two days. It cried 64 times, and I ended up with a 65. The teacher made me write an essay on Rubella. I literally went on Wikipedia and Copy/Pasted the Rubella article. I passed.

I got to write a paper on samurai swords my first semester of college, which was about as triumphant any bullshitting I did in school got. I'm pretty awful at it.

Curious about the topics that you cited Cracked and ZP for, though.
I cited Cracked for a paper on the validity of Myers-Briggs (the Cracked guys basically wrote exactly the paper I'd been working on, except theirs was funny, so I cited the shit out of it).

My ZP citation was for a paper in Core Humanities 202 where I said of Voltaire's Candide: "The only way 'Candide' could be any more awesome would be, to steal a line from Internet game critic Ben Croshaw, "if it had tits and was on fire." (Croshaw 2009)" I knew my teacher had the sense of humor to appreciate the quote.
That's awesome. The only teachers I had that would maybe have the appropriate sense of humor for that would be some of my CS professors and there were no essays there.

I bullshited my way through a huge multiple choice test by spelling stuff out using the choices. I actually got all but three right. So amazing and so happy about it.

My friend once quoted ME as a source on his chemistry report. The funniest part was I had no idea wtf he was researching. His teacher gave him an A.

I managed to use quotes from Style Wars as legitimate quotes on which to balance an entire paper. And while the film itself is incredibly relevant and important to the understand of the evolution of graffiti culture, it's just sort of funny to have stiff academic writing juxtaposed with quotes like this:
That?s why graffiti is ruined. Like ?Cap? ruined the twos and fives. The twos and fives used to go to the two yard, it used to be like a masterpiece art gallery of burners, from all these dues from the Bronx and Brooklyn with def wild styles. Now you go to the two yard it?s all destroyed. This guy named ?Cap? with his Lucile Ball harido on all your burners.

I once had to write an argumentative paper about an original topic. The topic I ended up using? Games are art. She commented on how original the topic was, and I ended up getting an A for the assignment.
I have to write a 1000 point research paper relating to my IT class in order to pass both that class and my English class, and I chose the same topic.
