The guy who sat right in front of me in an astronomy class the other day, got out his laptop, positioned it (unintentionally, I hope) in a way that made it impossible for me to not see what he was doing...and proceeded to IM some buddy of his about his recent sex life, in great detail.

I only read the 2-3 sentences I looked at by mistake, but it was more than enough to prove he was an arrogant, sex-obsessed jerk with no sense of decency. I mean, he could have at least had this conversation in private. And what the hell would his girlfriend, or whatever she is, think of this? I mean...wow, why don't you just put all your friends' secrets up on a bulletin board and get it over with. Seriously.

Ok, rant over. But I was definitely in 99%-of-all-humans-are-morons mode for the rest of that day.

I've a few funny examples from my former work: (I operated a Digital Mini-lab)
It's amazing how in the printing industry we get blamed when people's photo's turn out bad - especially when the image size is along the lines of 20kb...

Customer: Do you take passport photos?
Me: It's $12.95.
Customer: No, do you take passport photos?
*Blank stare*

Customer: Do you print photos?
Me, standing next to a printer about 5ft high with photos popping out of it: Yep.
Customer: How much is it?
Me, standing next to the A4 sign with the price: *Blank stare*

Me: I work in a Mini-lab.
Other: Oh, what do you do there?
Me: Print photos.
Other: Do you ever get naked pictures?
Me: *Blank stare*

It's amazing how many times those three instances repeated themselves throughout my 3 years employed in a Mini-lab. And so many people ask that question about naked photos.
The way that people blindly follow leaders disappoints me. Also how civilization makes cowards.
I have one more that made me question my faith in humanity:

Me: The Kraken.
Friend: Oh, that creature from Pirates of the Caribbean?
Me: No, the creature from Norse Mythology.

People who will follow something blindly without even really thinking about what they are following. I can't stand people that don't have their own real opinion and just accept whatever they hear.

...and rap. Rap is just getting ridiculous. Rap is now what people thought rock was back in the 80's.

Most American TV shows, it's not all crap, and there's definitely British programmes that are no better, but there's something about the cheesy, overly-dramatic American TV that sickens me to the core.

*Blank stare* haha.
Actually nowdays people are smart and don't take pictures of themselves without clothes, mostly. Also it's all done digitally, so the operator doesn't need to look at anyone's photos, except the one at the top of the pile i suppose.

People who can't spell correctly, use punctuation and last (and probably least important) use capital letters... Simple!

There's a display case where I work at Tim Hortons, (if you're from Canada you know) that has tins of coffee you can buy as well as tea boxes and mugs etc. I usually lock the case around 8 at night because people love to steal from it since it's close to the door and we can't always be watching the front of the store.

A woman came in last night wanting to buy a tin so I opened it and gave her one and she asked why we locked it. I told her it's because people steal things.. I should have lied.

She goes off on a huge rant about how horrible the world is these days, that you can't trust anyone, what kind of people would do such a thing and if something was stolen at her work that they'd make everyone on staff pay for it. I gave her the old "That's life, not much we can do about it" response which seemed to make her madder. "NO! She proclaimed, It shouldn't be like that!! You know what you should do? Just put giant SPIDERS in the tins! That'll show 'em! Spiders!" She then walked out of the store still babbling about the spider-traps she ingeniously thought of.

I'm not sure what's worse, her instability or the kids stealing a 5$ mug.

I got another one.

This fellow I went to school with was an admitted druggie. Now, I have nothing against pot-users and what not, but he did it all, coke, pot, pills, crazy stuff. He has also bragged about how he once knocked out a hooker on the street with a brick because he thought it'd be funny, and to him it was HILARIOUS! This guy has a girl friend, girls who cheat with him on said girl friend, and the love of half the student body at that school.
Personally, I wouldn't want anything to do with anyone who thought this guy was cool. They obviously are poor judges of character. Why would you want to sleep with/be friends with anyone who was okay with what this guy does? There are smart, rational people out there to befriend. Forget all the rest of 'em - don't concern yourself with the endeavors of vermin.

I have a bit more.

-People who shout that the LHC is going to be the end of the world. Instead of doing a bit of research into the matter, they just take what they hear from other people and keep spouting it off in different directions. I've seen a lot of doomsday sayings over the years, and none of them have come true. You would think, by now, people would start to realize how ridiculous they're being.
To add insult to your injury, I saw a person commenting to this topic say "...I can predict that September 10th will be very disastrous..."

I s*** you not.

This is what I keep saying to my friends. My mate Darren is terrified of the damn thing so I said to him, "Why don't you look into it, it might ease your mind if you understood what exactly is going on." He still doesn't want to know

Also, the fact that kids these days are just too bone idle to type or even speak proper English. Seriously get a grip.

I'd have no problem with you then. I think it's mainly all the kids that actually use the likes of leet speak and crap like that in general conversation. They should be shot right where they stand.

Something new that makes me lose respect for humanity ((well sort of)

When creationists say that creationism is the only possible answer and that science has proved nothing, I get angry and lose faith in humanity whenever i hear somthing like that.

Science has proved many things.
