"Alright Katie, let's go." He said, guiding her into one of the many Ferarris.

"Hm. Never drove a Ferarri before. This should be interesting..." He said, putting the key into the ignition.

Katie buckled herself in, and examined the car's interior. "And I thought these looked good on the outside," she said after a few seconds. "Where do you want to go?"
Subtle reference there, if anyone picks it up. XD

Richard finished installing the communicator into his helmet.
"Finally it's all done." He sighed as he leaned back in the chair. He stared at the clouds through the hole in his roof.
Yup. Cookies for both of you.
"All right, sounds good," Katie answered. As he drove, she began to remember the events of the day before: the temple-style challenge, the laser gates, the acid pit. She'd had to cling tightly to Jason as he moved across the concrete wall. She wondered more about his powers, and decided to ask him about them.
"So what exactly can you do, Jason?" she asked. "I know there was the weird claws and the feet, but what else is there?"
"Umm, other than that...Erebus (that's what I call it) is practically invulnerable, enhances my agility and speed, makes me jump higher and makes me look awesome. So i'm like Spider-Man...just, y'know, without the webs or spider-sense." He said, quickly swerving in between the morning commuters.
Garrus sat down in the lounge and turned on the tv, flipping through channels until a newsflash caught his eye.
"Today's top story: Late last night tragedy struck at the English Dignitary's Gala Event where the Prime Minister, a few members of his cabinet, and multiple other attendees were killed in what seems to have been a well-organized, super-human attack. No other details have been given at this time, though we will be broadcasting any updates all day. Now onto the weather with Sonny Skys," the news anchor reported before Garrus turned down the volume, a look of disbelief on his face.
"Well....shit," he said.

Katie smiled. "How long have you been able to... become Erebus?" She was a little unsure of her words; she thought she made it sound as if the process was similar to shapeshifting or something like it. "I myself have been learning to control plants since I was fourteen."
"Oh, I was born with it. It's....a long story. Maybe I'll tell you some other time, okay?" He said with a false smile. He didn't think now was the time to reveal his past.
"So, how'd you get your powers? Got bitten by a radioactive Venus fly trap?" He asked with a chuckle, as he sped past a sign that said "Now Entering Horizon".

Richard got out of his seat and walked out to the lounge in time to hear the news story about the Prime minister. He sat next to Garrus before speaking.
"Wow, the British government will have their hands full today. There is going to probably be a big investigation into the security of the building and the English spy network is going to be damn busy tracking every single lead possible. Any ideas on who did it Garrus? My money is on the Union. Wonder what their angle is if any." Richard tried to strike up a conversation. His hangover had gotten to the point where it was manageable in the past few hours.

Katie laughed at that, but said, "I honestly don't know how I got my abilities. Maybe they developed as I grew up or something, because I remember trying to levitate once I saw it done on TV, and it worked. My plant power first showed itself when I touched a flower in my parents' garden, although it may have manifested earlier. I don't know. Maybe the Society can help me find out how powers like mine just -" She snapped her fingers to indicate an instant action, and continued, "- appear out of nowhere. Neither of my parents have any direct connection to anyone with special powers."
Hey tsatoma is there anyway for people to tell if a person is a super human or not. Like with scanners or something.
"I'm thinking that too. They're the only villain group that has the power and the balls to do something like this," Garrus replied quickly, changing the channel now that nothing interesting was going on. "Quite shocking they'd do something this big. Patriot might not be visiting us for the next few days because of it."
No because supers powers can be gotten through a variety of ways. Genetic/horrible accident/magic/etc. Hard to scan for those.
"I'm more worried about the English government. Their head just died as well as many of their representatives and the cabinet. Emergency elections will have to be held, the entire government could change hands, and security is going to be at the highest it has ever been in a long time. I know the Royal Army, Navy, and Air Force is going to be on the highest alert level since the Blitz. Both Patriot and myself will probably be extremely busy in the months to come. We both have to meet new leaders, rework old deals, and my corporation is going to be heavily involved in the investigation of what happened. It just never seems to end, one thing gets resolved and ten more things happen while you were working on it." Richard replied, quietly ranting near the end.
For some reason Aaron never prefered to travel using a private jet or even in first class. He sat in his coach seat trying to adjust his new communicator. Once he had it set up he was going to fall asleep for the rest of the trip though a scream from the back of the plane shocked him. He turned to see two big dudes holding guns. They walked up the isles. A smaller man followed them and made his way to the front of the plane.
