True, but we're talking about normal people scanning for supers not another super with mind powers doing it.

Might start working on the good guy spread today. So if there are any small details you want to tell me about your character do it now.

"Yeah, yeah. It's odd seeing him freaking out," Garrus says flipping through channels again before saying to Simon, "If we know where their doorstep is we'll be sure to send you."

Aaron made a ice cell to shove the terrorists in for the time being. The pilot was going to continue the flight to Italy. Aaron got back into his seat and sent out a message back to the rest of the team.

"Hey guys I may be on the news in about a couple of hours, watch out for me."

"Yeahhh...we'll keep that in mind." Jason said sarcastically while picking up several shirts and hoodies in the clothing store.

"Strange...searched most of this store, and yet, I can't find any skinny jeans. I hope they have some in the other stores here." He said to himself while strolling through the aisles, with Katie closely bringing up the rear.

Katie followed Jason silently, thinking about Aaron's capabilities, and whether he would be able to beat a trained team of terrorists by himself. She snapped back to the situation at hand: Jason's lack of pants.

She smiled to herself and said, "They don't stock skinny jeans here. You'll want to try one of the other places. Follow me."

As the plane landed in Sicily Aaron escorted all the shaken tourists off the plane. When the plane was empty Aaron was greeted by police who Aaron escorted to the makeshift cell. Aaron made sure he didn't shift back to his regular form so he could try and hide his identity. As he made his way of the plane he was greeted by flashing lights with reporters cameras etc. Microphones rushed Aaron trying to get the story.

"Make sure you get my good side," Aaron posed and grinned as he started to answer questions.

"Alright, just let me pay for these first." Jason said to Katie, pointing at the clothes he had with him.

After paying for the clothes, Jason walked out of the store brandishing two bags.

"Okay, Shirts & Hoodies? Check. Now it's time for some pants." He said to himself, jogging a bit to catch up with Katie.

"There's a place around the corner which might have what you're looking for," Katie said. "They usually have skinny jeans in stock; I don't wear 'em. Not my style." She indicated her skirt, which was an inch short of brushing against the floor as they walked together.

Playing a crippled character, while incredibly annoying, also has its upsides. I can, for example, explain away a lack of posting because a pissed off crippled doctor who can transfer his disabilities to you might be the kind of person you'd want to leave in bed. Note that I have been here the entire time, watching from the shadows, but I've felt my presence would have detracted from your fun times at the mall, what with being all doctor-y and such.

The doctor bolted awake, a sudden pain in his arm waking him. He groaned. "Wha...Oh, right. Katie. Ow..." He eased himself into his wheelchair, and rolled around the Promenade, seeing if anyone was there. There wasn't. "Guess it's just me," he sighed, this causing him slight pain.

That and the fact you're in a wheelchair. We couldn't exactly fit you into the Ferrari. =D

Aaron eventually got away from all the media. Though he did end up getting something useful from the experience a name Cryo. As he made his way to the hospital he thought about his encounter early. He could actually handle a situation by himself. Aaron decided to pick up some flowers for his mom. As he neared his mothers room he noticed a doctor and Aaron's stepfather standing outside the door.

"Mark...," Aaron glared at his step-father,"..how's mom doing?"

Mark looked at Aaron and back to the doctor.

"C'mon guys tell me what's up with mom?"

"I'm sorry to tell you this Mister Bishop but you're mother is dead. Io sono spiacente."

"Thanks for the heads up." Jason said as they walked into the store.

"Y'know, for someone who can dominate plants and such, you seem really chill about being in a place like this. I would've thought you would loathe a mall because of all the trees and plants they destroy to make this place." He said, trying his best to pick pants of different color.

"He has to be having the same concerns as myself Garrus. We aren't safe anywhere at this point. The promenade could be infiltrated right now and we would probably have no idea until it was far too late." Richard said from his seat.

 

[CounterAttack]

"Oh, I don't hate the companies and things for doing this," Katie answered. "The wild is sometimes choked on its own life, and it becomes a good thing to remove them before they can overgrow. Besides, they do keep living plants as decorations, and as long as they're taken care of, I'm fine with it."

Katie thought to herself as Jason looked through the racks of clothing. Maybe he had a point. A lot of plant life would have been dug up, forcibly removed, burned or cut down to build places like Nova City.

The shop assistant interrupted her musing by speaking to Jason. "Hi there. Need any help, or are you just browsing?" She had a light, cheery voice, perfect for customer service.

Aaron made his way back to the airport. He wanted to make his way as far as way he could away from this place. He made some calls and secured himself a private jet to get back to the States as fast as he could. As Aaron sat looking out he thought of what would happen know. He had a company to worry about. He wasn't;t ready to deal with that and being a hero. Aaron decided to go into a cryogenic sleep and try to forget about what happened.

"Arright," Birras muttered, wheeling back and forth in a manner similar to pacing, "going by Occam's razor, the simplest solution is probably the correct one, so...Of course! Every human on Earth is dead, excepting myself!" At that very moment, a pair of joggers strolled by the Promenade. "Oh. Then they must be out at the movies or something."

"Hm. You have an open mind." Jason said to Katie, politely shooing off the store clerk.

"I wish the people I used to know had open minds..." He said, thinking about his previous life. He pondered on the thought before turning to Katie.

"...on second thought, no I don't. If they had open minds, then I wouldn't have a Ferrari, or I wouldn't be apart of the Society. I would've never met Garrus, or Rich, or you..." His voiced trailed as he said the last word. He gazed into her eyes. He never noticed how bright they were before.

" ...I should go pay for these." He said, rushing off, slightly embarrassed.

As Jason looked into Katie's eyes, she couldn't help but stare at his. Their shade reminded her of troubled times long since passed. When he broke eye contact and hurried away, she was a little dazzled. Could Jason possibly have meant what she thought he did? Katie tried to think of what she should say when he returned, but the look in his eyes had distracted her, made her forget where she was and why she was there.

She blinked, and returned to the present, although she felt a little different somehow. She couldn't put a finger on what had changed, which was unusual for her.

Once he bought the jeans, he approached Katie, still slightly embarrased.

"Okay, Got shirts, pants, and hoodies. Last stop: the sneaker store." He said, strolling out of the store with another bag of clothes.

"All right then," Katie answered. As they walked, Jason seemed to be struggling a little with the numerous bags he carried. "Hey, would you mind if I got one of those for you?" she asked. "You look like you could use another set of hands to carry a bag or two."

"Oh. I guess so." He said, giving her the lightest bag.

"My mother force fed me chivalry. It just wouldn't feel right to give you a heavy bag, or more than one bag for that matter." He explained as they walking into the shoe place.

"Speaking of mothers, was your family in any way as stern as mine?" He asked while browsing pass the various style of sneakers that occupied the store's walls.
