"But how are we going to find out their plans?" Katie asked. "The only way I could think of to find out where they'll strike next is a way I don't want any of us to go: infiltrate the Union with a double-agent, and get as close to Broadway as possible, so the spy can inform us of his next targets."

She knew she had spoken truth when she said she didn't want anyone to do this. No-one should have to disguise themselves as a member of the Union to bring Broadway down.

Aaron had fell asleep on the couch. When he awoke he noticed that everyone was gone. He made his way for the kitchen. As he entered the room temperature dropped drastically.

"Where is everyone" Aaron asked yawning trying to make contact with his communicator.

"I agree with Katie on this. As much as it sucks that one of us would have to infiltarte the Union, one of us MUST do this"

Simon nodded to Katie, before turning to the others

"We need some offensive action. This waiting game isn't working!"

Richard slammed his fist against the counter, breaking it. "Shut the hell up Simon! It was my idea to wait and try to intercept them here, it didn't work, I get it. Now will you all shut the fuck up and quit rubbing it in my face! Look around you, this was my home, I don't need you telling me that an attempt at interception didn't work. I've lost damn near everything now, so show a little goddamn sympathy and stop fucking saying my plan didn't work." Richard thought a moment.

"They are going to gather what they need to build the suits now. They are either going to try and steal it or get it off the black market. If they steal it then we have to rely on the magical items we only got today. If they buy it, then we can pose as sellers with stolen technology. I know what it takes to build those suits, we actually have a leg to stand on now."

 

[tsatoma]

"The problem with infiltrating them is that we don't much about the Union. Are there initiation tests? What if they look into someone's past? Slightest slip could cause trouble," Garrus replied to them all, pacing back and forth.

"Look give me a minute. I'm going to go and talk to my contacts," Garrus said as he left the kitchen for a few minutes.

Simon leaned forward, his eyes narrowed slightly

"Perhaps you should put that anger towards something a bit more productive Richard. I'm not rubbing anything in your face, I merely stated that the plan didn't work and we need to try something new. I'm not the one making this personal here, the Union is so leave your anger for them and not for your team-mates"

 

[CounterAttack]

Katie quickly interjected before Richard could fly off the handle. "There's no need to fight, either of you. Let's just calm down and don't waste our energy, alright?" She hoped both Simon and Richard would see the voice of reason.

"There is a difference between stating a fact and shouting it in my own damn barren house just after it was broken into and my security detail, who I got to know damn well by the way, was murdered in cold blood. Believe me, I'm going to mount Leland's head on my wall as part of my redecorating plan, but I'm a a hell of a lot pissed, damn near tears, and feeling a level of guilt you can't even imagine. So excuse me if I lash out at the person who shouts out that my plan went to shit." Richard hissed at Simon. He knew Katie was right, but didn't particularly care at this point. He was well beyond reason.

 

[Captainguy42]

"Richard's plan sounds like the best. Infiltrating will take too long, we can pose as sellers quickly before the gap between us and them widens. But we need to make it look convincing right?" Tommy asked turning to Richard.

 

[Quad08]

Simon shook his head and started to open his mouth before closing it again. Instead, he put an ear to his communicator

"Aaron, you there? Where are you?"

While waiting for a reply he turned back to the group

"We also would need to be sure that we were the ones they go to for info. I'm sure there are many other powerful malious factions out there with the resources they need"

 

[tsatoma]

"And bam! The benefits of having contacts," Garrus said as he walked back in a grin on his face, "Guess where you guys will be tomorrow at 1:35 PM?"

 

[Souldemon8]

"I'm back at the Promenade. I fell asleep. Where are you guys at?" Aaron asked as he made himself a sandwich.

 

[Captainguy42]

"At home, eating a sandwich?" Tommy asked Garrus

 

[CounterAttack]

In my room at the Promenade with Jason? Katie thought, but didn't say it aloud. That would be ridiculously embarrassing for them both.

 

[Quad08]

"We're at Richard's Mansion. Its been attacked by the Union. Think you could make it here?"

Simon asked before turning back to Garrus

"I assume you're about to tell us where we'll be?"

 

[Souldemon8]

"Uh Simon can you like come and do your shifty thing and come and pick me up," Aaron finished his sandwich as he changed clothes.

"I'm going to be in a meeting with my shareholders about why billions of dollars have suddenly gone missing from the company's assets, talking to the families of a couple dozen dead guards who were close to me, or I'm going to be drowning myself in booze because of the first two. Why do you ask?" Richard replied.

Munching in the background...most likely in kitchen...

With that Simon suddenly disappeared and then reappeared a moment later holding onto Aaron, with his snadwhich still in hand

"Boy you guys suck at guessing. No you guys will be meeting Leland over at the McDonalds on 41st street," Garrus explained, "Took a few calls but I got it to work out. I doubt he'll be alone though, that's one issue. Another is that I'm not going to be there for it, I'll be needed....elsewhere. But isn't this good news! Yeah I still doubt you guys can beat him, but...yeah."
