When I first heard that Bioshock was having a sequal, I was so exited. But I knew it would not come out for a while. So I did some reasurch on the game. I learned that the splicers that have survived now worship Jack as some sort of god. But I thought "Why would they worship Jack if he killed alot of the splicers?" SPOILERS: I know that he killed Andrew Ryan and Frank Fountain, but still. So what do you think?

The splicers are crazy. How can you justify any of their actions?
Plus, why not, as you said, Jack did do -BEEP- for them.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the killing Ryan and Fontaine thing.

I think it's because you're a Big Daddy (like, the first one ever made). They probably fear you more than worship you. Plus, being a Big Daddy, I don't think you're Jack from the first game anymore.

Your not Jack, but they still worship Jack

Well Jack was able to use plasmids and tonics but they didn't "consume" him in the same way the Splicers have been deformed by all their modding. Perhaps the most invasive thing that happened to Jack was:

He underwent the treatment to become a Big Daddy

As such the Splicers probably look at Jack as the perfect hybrid of humanity and biological enhancement.

Why wouldn't they worship him? He kicks everyones ass. If you kill every single big daddy and then kill like 300 splicers and their leaders, their are two possible outcomes.

You become Infamous.
You become Famous.

Because he inherited the key to the city and thus was the last person to have control of the ADAM. Also, he killed Ryan AND Fontaine.

God has laid waste to a few places too, like the entire earth during the flood but he's still got a pretty solid fanclub going...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but

In the good ending, didn't he give the key to the city to the Little Sisters? Perhaps they passed it back to Dr Tennembaum?

So the evil ending is canon?

if you kill the the many, you become the one.

he killed many a big daddy, many a splicer, and eventually killed Fontaine while he was hopped up on super plasmids.

for crazys that would equal worthy of worship.

Well, a lot of people worship "God" even though he's killed countless humans, right?

I was under the impression that the good ending was canon; but you hear so many contradictory reports.

It's a prequel. It takes place in Rapture during the 1959 riots.

No it's not, it is around 1970 and you play as a proto type big daddy.
The Multyplayer is the prequel.

Yeah, the multi player is the prequel that takes place before most of the splicers die, seeing as you play as splicers. But the single player is a sequel, and tennenbaum(sp?) has recommissioned the prototype Big Daddys.

But I want to play as Jack in Multiplayer. how awesome would that be?

That would be really easy. You can throw BEES at people! Fucking! bees! Actually, I meant wasps....But you get the point!
