Suggesting he needs "help" is not a neutral position. He has always been a snarky guy, suggesting he needs help because he's acting like the snarker he is is simply passive-aggressive nonsense.
Spoony was diagnosed with depression some months ago. He outright told the fans that he had been. So, yes, he DOES need help. It's clearly affected him. I'm a fan of both sites, and I don't know enough of what started it to make a comment on that, but... look at his twitter. He's not being "snarky", he's being downright abusive. He needs help, because he's clearly not well.

Just one. How is this going to effect the 4th year Anniversary thing?
If I remember correctly, it has been stated that the 4th Year Anniversary Special will go as filmed, and Spoony wont be taken out of it.
What about Linkara's storyline involving Dr. Insano?

The whole thing is just sad. I don't mean that in a belittling way; I mean it like...

Okay. I have this patient. He's living at home with his wife to whom he's been married for seventy years, and he doesn't know who she is. The man she married is gone. The things they did together, the life they built, he has none of that left in him. In a lot of ways, he's already dead, and all that's left is trying to keep him clean and safe while watching him slowly forget how to walk, and how to pick up a glass, and, eventually, how to swallow.

It may sound disrespectful to compare the two, but watching Mr. Antwiler's decline reminds me painfully of that. I feel like I am watching a human being diminish in some small but fundamental way, and I grieve for the loss. I feel myself mourning for him.

The poor, poor man. How I hope he recovers.

hmm... ya know at this point I have to question why we're all interested in this. Is it for truth or for petty entertainment?
Petty entertainment all the way. This is some of the most fun I have had on the internet in a while. :D

Moar popcorn, anyone?
Go shuffle over so I can sit down, will ya?

Make space for a couple of friends too

So yeah, petty entertainment for me too

The guy who inspired Spoony has weighed in, basically said he hopes he can get his shit back together

Like thebobmaster said he's not been all that well lately, he's been diagnosed to have depression and heart issues. Wishing him to get help is not so much passive-aggressive nonsense as much as it is hoping he gets the help he needs to improve his current situation.

The rest of your points I can't really argue right now, as the situation is looking it seems Lupa had some issues with Spoony and decided (knowing full well the man isn't very mentally stable right now) to tip him over the edge bringing up a tweet from months ago that at the time it was tweeted it didn't seem to face any of the parties involved, with the specific propose of him getting himself fired and like someone else pointed out, the plan worked horribly right.

Someone should send this to Spoony. I don't know if it'll help or make things worse but Spoony said that this guy inspired him and he should hear what he has to say.

Well, if he is still making videos and posting them on his own site (which is where I watch all of his stuff anyhow) and can get along well enough with the others to appear in anniversaries and occasional cameos then I don't see any problems with this. I don't know what is the cause of all this drama and I don't really care. I just hate it that everyone is placing blame and pointing fingers when all involved are talented people who do good work, and it would be a great shame if we lost any of them. I just hope Spoony's time away will help him get over the personal problems he's been having. I think everyone's #1 priority should be to make sure everyone gets out of this with no lasting grudges.

Sorry to hear about how your ex acted but it wasn't the same case with Spoony and Scarlet. Scarlet even left twitter for a while to let all the e-drama calm down and said nothing to Spoony. While he insulted her constantly. I'm not saying you're wrong and I know it can take a while to get over someone, but constantly whining on twitter isn't helping.
Actually, it has some similarities. I did not go into the extremes that Spoony did, which I was not aware of until reading a few pages back, but I did write her hate filled and vitriolic emails. I did not send them to her, but I still wrote them out. Therapist said that it's healthy to write it out, as long as you do not show the other person.

I also whined about it to whom ever would listen, mostly my parents, but sometimes random strangers in a bar. I did not listen to people who told me to get over it because I was still grieving. Even I went through a me against the world phase, which a part of me is still in. It took myself to realize that I needed to stop dwelling on it an move on.

Spoony may need to get over it, but he is not going to listen to anyone. He has to come to that realization on his own. Expressing it too much is not healthy, but not expressing it all is also not healthy either.

I like Spoony, so I'm slightly inclined to side with him, no matter what. I find it odd how people are getting so freaking serious about all this though. It's really not that big of a deal from what I've seen. Spoony made a rape joke, Lupa blew it out of proportion, and the only real asshole here seems to be LordKat. Yea, Spoony is depressed, but people are talking about him like he's "on the edge" or "at the breaking point" like they've literally been living with him for the past year watching his progression. All I see is a bunch of people standing in a dried-up context ocean and compensating by filling it with their own speculative bullshit. You know what that makes? One giant messy puddle of shit.

I'm not happy about Spoony being fired (or whatever the technical term is here, since I don't think he was a full-on employee of CA), but this just seems like a pretty simple argument to me. Tempers flare, things get said, it happens. Pretty soon the dust will settle and we can move on.

His joke wasn't offensive. If he lost income for it, that's lame.
Does he have issues? Sure. Does that mean the internet should interfere, bombard him with their opinions on his issues, try to "help" as if they have expertise on the issue or know him personally? No.
I thought some of his stuff was pretty funny.

So behind all the smiles and laughs this kinda thing happens backstage at tgwtg :\

Sad to hear spoony being dropped, him and nostalgia critic are some of my favorite net personalities and this separation will likely weaken both of them.

I don't recognize this fellow; who is he?
It is Armake21. He was a let's player on youtube who got huge following because he would rage and swear and let all of his anger out onto a game. For awhile he kept getting his account flagged and banned due to internet disputes (especially versus irate gamer). I'm surprised and happy to see him back on youtube and he seems to have 'calmed' down a bit. His previous accounts were boxedentertainment and nicotainealien after armake21.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqEpqjBd06g This is one of his older videos. It is of him getting enraged playing action 52. Definitely watch the volume, but it is cathartic funny.

I'm a long time follower of his and a huge fan. I would like to see him get help. I'm afraid for him. I half expect to go online one day and find out that he committed suicide.

Don't you just love how twitter can turn anything into a giant shitstorm?

Oh well, I'll just be standing at the side lines peeking over the fence observing how this whole thing developes.

I find his Animated movie reviews the best. the OTHER animated titanic was fuckin' hilarious. Same goes for others like Quest for Camelot, care bears....

Also, nothing will beat his team up with the AVGN on the TMNT music review.

He still has laughs stowed away but I think he needs a new joke, something along the line of "of course!" where my favorite.
I will say that the "alien dialouge" parts of his signs review had me in stiches
