No, no matter what you say Lupa is the one who dug up something that never even concerned her just to push him over the edge when it was obvious he was hanging on a thread and blocked off all responsibility of her actions. I can forgive her, but that does not mean I will ever respect her again. She really is a mean spirited and cruel person and even delusional for retreating to her fandom. She chose to go on a holy crusade she had no business going on.Jack the Potato said:Lupa apologized, Spoony seems to have gotten over it, so yea. I guess it's done then. Maybe with time they'll ask him back, but either way I'm just glad that the morons can't perpetuate this shit anymore. "Lupa's a manipulative *****!" "Spoony is on the edge man! DON'T YOU PEOPLE KNOW HE HAS MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES?!" As I said way earlier in this thread, it's not nearly the big deal some folks were saying it was, and the only person who came out of this looking like a complete and utter fool was LordKat. Seriously, fuck that guy.
i straight up said when sexist jokes are thrown at me instead of scream and ranting and calling every guy i know a woman hater, I LOOK AT AS PEOPLE BEING DUMB,and move on. and since its a guy throwing it at me yeah they are being dumb, boys can be dumb.Dryk said:So whenever someone acts sexist you join them?saintash said:so instead of screaming and ranting every time a joke crosses a sexist line. i take a very six year old look to this situation, boys are born dumb, girls rock.
Apparently you can't forgive her and you also don't know what forgiveness means, which is a little strange coming from a brony. She was wrong, she admitted it, and Spoony seems to be quite fine now. I hadn't been watching her videos before and I won't be starting now, but I'm not mad at anyone over this. Tempers flared, shit happened, but everyone involved seems to have already moved on, so the fans should too.Zeckt said:No, no matter what you say Lupa is the one who dug up something that never even concerned her just to push him over the edge when it was obvious he was hanging on a thread and blocked off all responsibility of her actions. Want to know whats funny? Spoony was one of their very few who tries different things which is something they desperately need considering how repetitive most of them are becoming. They head hunted Spoony and now all they have is their weekly blandness that was getting old a year ago.
It's really not that strange coming from someone who thinks "they" (whoever "they" are, but I like to imagine that when he pronounces the word, it has a capital T, or is even italicized) deliberately went after Mr. Antwiler for the sake of taking his metaphorical head as a trophy. Or hell, maybe this guy means it was a literal head hunt, I don't know. The point is, you probably ought not to expect forgiveness from someone who compares the events of the last few weeks to murder for sport.Jack the Potato said:Apparently you can't forgive her and you also don't know what forgiveness means, which is a little strange coming from a brony.
Sure, sure, but I just wanted to point out that what he thinks is forgiveness and what forgiveness actually is are two entirely different things. Plus, while I can't be 100% sure if he's a brony or not, his avatar heavily suggests it, so my previous perception that bronies were all about "love and tolerate" seems to be completely wrong, at least with him.JimB said:It's really not that strange coming from someone who thinks "they" (whoever "they" are, but I like to imagine that when he pronounces the word, it has a capital T, or is even italicized) deliberately went after Mr. Antwiler for the sake of taking his metaphorical head as a trophy. I think you misunderstand me. I forgive her and am no longer angry with her, but because of her mean spirited and manipulative actions where she forced people into sides she is not the kind of person I would ever want to associate with. Kind of like a relationship, there is no room for manipulative drama queens who think themselves always in the right for me. Just because she apologized to save face after the dust settled will not change that.Jack the Potato said:Apparently you can't forgive her and you also don't know what forgiveness means, which is a little strange coming from a brony. What you're describing is not forgiveness, it's avoidance. You still dislike her, you still hold what she did against her, and instead of continuing to conflict with her you're choosing to avoid her altogether. That's fine, really, in that it prevents further conflict and settles the situation as long as it doesn't come up again down the road, but it's NOT forgiveness. I know I'm being a real dictionary stickler here, but I just get a little peeved when people use the word "forgive" without actually FORGIVING.Zeckt said:I think you misunderstand me. It's like a relationship. If someone emotionally abuses you when your at your worst and simply apologizes when she realizes its not all white and black and expects things to be the way they were you have the right to never want to deal with it at all and just walk away. Kicking someone when they are down is incredibly low and reflects very poorly on a persons character, especially when she does it publicly to try and drag you through the mud and force people to take sides.
So in otherwords I forgive her, but I would prefer to stay the hell away from anything she does to avoid such confrontations. If it makes me any less of a person for not wanting to deal with manipulative cruel people then so be it.
