The Star Wars Prequels suck. It's been over a decade. Get over it.

Now before this thread loses all discussion value by people who completely miss the point of said thread by posting stupid shit like "I like the Star Wars prequels..." "I hate Star Wars" and other types of shit, before eventually devolving into three or four people having a cry baby ***** fest over their favorite Plinkett quotes.

I just want to make my thesis rather clear. The Star Wars prequels are very much, terribly made, badly put together movies. The Star Wars franchise is the Sonic the Hedgehog version of movies, milked to fucking death across all mediums. Best thing to do is to remember the stuff you liked about the franchise fondly and don't let the stuff you don't like bother you.

I would also like to point out that the original Star Wars was made in 1977, the Revenge of the Sith was released in 2005. Anybody still bitching about either of those films,has a problem.

No, don't give me any lectures and shit. MovieBob might talk shit on the Transformers movies and Green Lantern movie all the time, but there's a reason for that. That's his job. So unless you are being paid to talk about franchises that peaked before Reagan was president, you all need to seriously take a healthy dose of shut the fuck up.

Whatever, the only reason I am annoyed by the re-releases is that you cannot get the unedited version, that's about the only thing I am annoyed by right now, I mean if he wants to re-edit the films let him do it as much as he wants I don't give a shit, but can't I have my original version in a current format like DVD or Blu-Ray also?

Under normal circumstances, yes it would be pointless to ***** about a film series that ended around 7 years ago. However you're forgetting that Star Wars video games and other EU material is still produced to this day, like it or not Star Wars is a massive money-making franchise which won't go away any time soon.


As an aside, putting your opinion on the prequels in the OP wasn't a good idea and contradicts the whole point of the thread. With that included, whether you intend it or not it looks like you are trying to shut down discussion because you think your opinion is the right one.

Frankly, I don't think they're that shit. As far as Star Wars movies go, they're relatively sub-par.
As far as actual, stand-alone sci-fi movies go, I think they're decent. Not great, but compared to shit like Pandorum, they're gems.

Really, all I'm asking for at this point is the unaltered version of the original Star Wars trilogy be released on Blu-Ray and future video formats. Is that really too much to ask?
