I've already picked up Payday: The Heist.

Looking forward to seeing what today's flash deals will be, I just might pick up another game.

this sale seems pointless. in a few weeks the steam holiday sale will start, which is usually much bigger and has much better deals. unless theres a deal that just completely blows me away, i dont see any reason to not just wait and save my money.

also, AVOID THE FLASH SALES UNTIL THE LAST DAY

walking dead is a must buy for anyone who hasnt played the game so far. its a steal at the current price of $12.50. in addition to that witcher 2 deal seems pretty good too $12 only. also interested in alan wake for $15.
hey anyone played dear esther so far ? is it any good ? its only $2.50 on steam

Already spend £5 on a GOG sale last week...but may have to pick up Half Life and Half Life 2, for Cry of Fear and Stanley Parable and aaaall the others.

Bought the age of wonders trilogy pack just now. Going to wait until tomorrow, if gamestop is open, to buy a 50 dollar card, maybe 70. Gonna buy Age of Empires pack, walking dead, and civ 5 with the expansion. Going to be fun the next couple of months. Might wait for christmas for civ 5 though...

I bought Darksiders 2 and Mark of the Ninja last night £20 for both, not bad at all. I wanted Dishonoured but it was still a bit pricey for me. I might see if there's a crimbo sale for that instead.

Meh? The Flash sales are 66-75% off. They're as good as daily deals, they're just on a shorter timeline.

I missed Witcher 2 super cheap in a flash sale a year or two ago and I'm still annoyed by it. What's your issue with Flash sales, precisely?

In my experience the Holiday/Black Friday sales are generally equivalent in terms of markdown quality, although the Holiday sale is slightly bigger and has the little meta games tied to it. If I see games I want at $4 I'm going to get them. I'm not waiting a month to see if they're $3.75 or anything.

I bought Walking Dead, Giana Sisters and Hotline Miami for myself and an extra copy of Giana Sisters for a friend.

Pretty sweet sale so far, I'm hoping Faster Than Light goes on sale soon so I can pick that up.

I'm on the fence for a lot of games. Deciding if I should just wait for Xmas sales in hopes of a better deal.
Games on my radar:

Xcom
The Walking Dead (never seen the show, don't care for zombies but have heard great things about this story)
Borderlands 2 (will probably wait for GOTY edition)
Civ 5 expansion (will probably wait for GOTY edition that includes expansions)
Torchlight 2
The Witcher 2
Dishonored

Is $17.99 a good deal for Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition or should I wait for a better one?
It will probably be a daily deal and if it isn't a daily deal during this sale it will probably be in the Christmass sale. So at least wait till the end of the sale to see if it becomes a daily deal and then if it isn't then decide whether you want to wait or not.

However I feel New Vegas is completely worth a measly 18 dollars. I put hundreds of hours into it(atleast 300) and that was mostly vanilla. So really if you want the best deal go with what I said before but if you just want your moneys worth get it now.
Thanks

OK, so I'll wait a few days and see if it becomes a daily deal.

its generally smarter to ignore flash sales until the last day because its not uncommon for a flash sale that is 50% off to show up later as a daily deal for like 75% off. more than once i have kicked myself for jumping on a flash sale only to discover i could have gotten the game significantly cheaper if i had just waited a day or two.

It sucks for me, as almost all of the games I'd choose I already own. I got The Walking Dead at Halloween for 40% off, Xcom at full price a few weeks ago (damnit).

The only one that I still would like is Mark of the Ninja, but I imagine that might go more than 25% off around Christmas time.

Awesome deals though.

I haven't bought anything yet, but I've got my eye on Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. I already have Dark Souls on the 360, but I will likely buy Prepare to Die if its price lowers even further. X-Com also sounds good at a lower price.

But for now, I'm going to be adventurous and grab the eXceed Collection and Legend of Fae. They were already inexpensive to start with, but at their current prices, I can afford to be a little more gutsy with my purchases.

How is Darksiders 2?
I really want God of War but lacking the PS3 I can't get a copy, so Darksiders is looking closer to the mark than DMC (which I already have an find too easy).
Recommend?

OT: I just bought The Walking Dead and I got hit by a bug that stops it from running, Tell Tale still aren't sure why it does it.
[HEADING=1]Walking Dead Won't Run Fix[/HEADING]
[sub]Just incase people skim over this and miss it otherwise.[/sub]

The way around it that got it working for me was to

Open the file location in.
C > Programme files > Steam > Steam apps > Common > The Walking Dead

Right click properties > compatability.

Set it to Windows 98/ME and run as admin, the game loaded after that.

The sewers is just a day 1 dlc that's free for anyone who buys new (all PC customers), I don't think the anarchy edition is included in normal sales, but that does include a double barreled shotgun (among other things I don't remember) so if you got that you got the anarchy edition.
