Way back yonder in grade six, my friends and I had just purchased Warcraft 3.
At a loss for a handle I consulted one of my friends (now estranged, unfortunate story)
he suggested nick_knack and since then it has stuck. depending on the thing I am signing up for, there have been variations incluing: n1ck_knack, nickknack and a rather tragic use of "nickhalonerd" for a Youtube account. *shudders*

As for the pictures:<spoiler=The first one>This is the one, the few of you who know me, likely know me by.
[http://s382.photobucket.com/albums/oo268/nick_knack_photo/?action=view&current=eclipse.jpg] For lack of anything better. Besides! Eclipse SSDs are hella cool. And:
<spoiler=Currently> [http://s382.photobucket.com/albums/oo268/nick_knack_photo/?action=view&current=nickdoesnottakelightlytoassasinatio.jpg](sorry for the ridiculous size, it's late and I don't feel like resizing :p) This is me Photoshopped, and 3dsMax-ed into fighting against some uniformed teddy bears in an arms deal gone wrong. (They are invading America) It also seems that I have forgotten to close the blinds. Oh dear.EDIT:I must also mention, that I hate that shirt, and don't usually wear it.

Uhmm..is this thread on it's third or fourth re-telling?
Third!... No, fourth!

As for lil' old me, stompy was a random name I got when I played Halo PC. I eventually liked the name, and decided to don it. The avatar was when I found out of the awesomeness that is TF2.

Simple, Cyclomega is a portmanteau of Cyclohexane (a toxic chemical compound which name sounds awesome) and Omega, I mixed them for the lulz, and the sound stuck, I kept it and use it here and there.

The pic ? I simple made it using the official seal generator (says-it.com/seal), I wanted a /b/-related seal to post when people got majestically debunked on another forum (I dedicated the seal for all those tinfoil hat retards polluting our tubes since last March), and thus made the Official Seal of Surprise Buttsecks, I found that fun, and since I had no idea what to use as an avatar, used this one. Maybe I'll change it later...

I like Paramore, so it's Hayley Williams.

I hope that was a thrilling story.
Is it sad that when i saw your avatar the first thing i thought was 'Is it possible that she's Really Hayley Williams?'

I know i'm strange and i apologize but its in my nature.

I'm a vain *****. I think that covers the avatar. As for name... I started using it for games aged 7 and never stopped. It then progressed to forums, and even a nickname.

I think I've done this before, but here goes:
The avatar is shamefully stolen from some guy on the WotC forums without credit. It's some guy punching Fargoth from Morrowind over and over in case you're wondering. I usually get a PM once a week from someone asking me if it is, so yes. It is.
Pole boy was my first MMO character ever (who never made it past level 1) and I just think it's a funny name. My other nick is Calavel which I use for fantasy games, mostly. He's had many incarnations, but he's usually a mage and often an elf, most recently an Archmage in WAR.

My name is a bit of irony in the fact Ive never played an elemental class in any game (not dissing shamans or anything its just the "ok i have to click 42 things before I attack" attitude to it also I was again singing power of the horde by lvl 70 Etc while thinking a name up

As for the pic I mean come on... It's the lich king looking evil you can't do better then that!

When I first signed up for xbox live I had a lot of trouble trying to come up with a good name that wasn't already taken, so I just came up with something at random. Now I always use this name, because I know that know one else has it.

As for the avatar, I got tired of using the Fallout 3 power armor, and found this one on a website.

The picture (which you don't mean) is a reflection on my personality.

There is an interesting story behind my name. I play Warhammer 40,000 on the table top, and my first army all those many years ago (around 2000) were Orks. Git and Snikk (if you look) are words from the orkish dialect and roughly translate to foe-killer. Gitsnik is thus shortened and contracted. The full name is Flame Gitsnik, suggestive of fiery foe-killer, and comes from a time when I attempted to destroy someone I didn't like (unknown to me at the time due to my poor weapons training at the time I was not holding a properly armed device).

The avatar that is Gitsnik is self absorbed, egotistical, truthful (brutally so at times) and if you frequent the right IRC channels, ' He's an A+ Grade Bastard', and right so often that when people ask it is said I am always right, verbose and smooth. I'm known as the unofficial pimp of the #realm as well as the go-to guy for any computing question (there are, among other things, professional programmers in chan who ask me for help - I've only got one certification and it's not in programming). I tend to be a lurker though will comment extensivly on a topic I feel the urge to, and I'm a cynic. People really enjoy asking me about their new job offers "Friendly Environment means Open Plan Office" etcetera. The B.O.F.H. is my idol and I come very close to being one in my own right. I'm also very militaristic.

(Un?)fortunately this is more and more becoming me in my day to day life.

That's enough of a post from me.

Cheers

Gits

Edit: Woo epic 200th post

Hello!
Titus Barca is the main character in one of my novel series! I use it because it's a unique combination; thus there's no disappointment if it's taken, like some of the other screen names I've used.
The pic is the Gorgon from Greek mythology, this design was originally found on a greek shield; I thought it looked pretty cool. I could imagine the fright it would've given an enemy seeing that on their opponents shield!
Thats about it, really!
Bye!

The avatar is one I found to use in our Guild site/forum. The name is a nickname that I've had since high school. It's been my email address for years from that point on. And now I own the domain name too.

Slycne has been a character and forum handle that I have used for awhile. I started out with the word Sly and started tacking letters on the end. You can pronounce it 'slice-in' or according to Ventrillo 'slick-knee'. I had previously been using an avatar of Strider Hiryu from the Strider game series that I enjoyed when I was younger. A recent replay of FF4 prompted the change to Kain from said game.
