Is all the people I'm seeing on the Rockstar forums going on and on and ON about multiplayer. I'm really disillusioned. Do we as gamers have to have Team Deathmatch on every single new release to enjoy it? For example:

No offence, but I think i'll pass on this one until its cheap, in the past I have bought or pre-ordered all Rockstar Games, with the exception of Beaterator and Table tennis and have never been dissapointed, until now. I expected this game to be fully roamable and like GTA/RDR and was shocked to find there is no multiplayer? multiplayer is what keeps games alive! I bought mortal kombat 9 for playstation 3 on Sunday and beat it, due to the PSN being down I am bored with it already. Mega fluke in my opinion and its this reason why many people will lose interest in the game and leave it after completion. I hope a multiplayer aspect is added to this game, is it not possible to delay the production of LA Noire until there is online features? propably not but this makes me real sad to see a waste of good potential. Now i'll have to wait a few years for the next Grand theft Auto, Rockstar I hope you dont cntinue down this road and limit future games."

@ 00632500 RDR was a cowboy game but they made that work. They can have modes like TDM, DM and even cops and crooks like u said. I mean L.A NOIRE is just GTA mix with CSI. RDR had zombies now L.A NOIRE + ONLINE FREE ROAM + ZOMBIES = A SICK ASS ONLINE GAME.
P.S ONLINE CO-OP DON'T SOUND TO BAD. I MEAN WE GONNA PLAY AS A COP, I KNOW YOU GUYS CAN COME UP WITH SOMETHING."
Seriously, I'm getting more and more annoyed with multiplayer in games. I've gotta put up with 12 year olds on Live every day, and now people are clamoring for every big IP to have a multiplayer mode. Now, I don't have anything against multiplayer per se. I love the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, 12 year olds notwithstanding, and wouldn't have enjoyed Splinter Cell: Conviction half as much as I did without the MP it had. But seriously, every game doesn't need multiplayer. Bioshock experimented with it in its second installment, and it sucked. Condemned 2 did the same thing, totally redundant experience all-around. And so on, and so on.
If someone can tell me why a story-oriented, historical procedural drama needs 'ONLINE FREE ROAM + ZOMBIES', I'd be happy to be enlightened.
