After viewing the uncomfortable truths thread it got me thinking. Yes there are alot of things in life that make us uncomfortable such as the fact that someones always better than you at something or the fact that random strangers in the street are probably contemplating ways to harm you. It is a fact of life that its full of people we'd rather not meet or truths we'd rather not face. Although this thread is dedicated to the comforting truths in life, those things that when shit hits the fan we can at think at least I have this going for me. So escapist whats your comforting truth?

If you ever will get married (assuming they'll be of similar age) the person you'll get married to is walking the Earth right now.

There is always someone more fucked up than you.

And no matter what happens, it will usually get better.

The people you hate will die eventually.

Friends will be there for you.

You can quote him, copy that, and edit it back into your first post if you want to.

Anyway, I'm fucking awesome. Ahem.

Seriously though, you aren't dead. Billions of other people are. And that means you're in the minority, and thus, a rebel. Everybody loves a rebel. Especially a rebel against death. You are awesome, aren't you?

Optimism can compensate for lack of luck.

For every object you lose, someone finds something new.

A good friend can cheer you up even if you're lovesick and feeling like crap without actually speaking to you in person.

No matter how absurdly fucked-up you are, there is someone out there who is equally weird who would happily love you for who you are.
WRONG.

No woman, in the history of mankind, has ever been romantically interested in somebody who installs 1960s computer operating systems for the purposes of amusement.

I'm going to stand by that.
If i was a girl id totally hit that :p

Many people in the world are very helpful and kind. Doing things for other people normally makes you feel much better about yourself than doing something for yourself.

No matter how much you fuck up in life, you will never make anything as terrible as D2 [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBbvh-mQ4eQ].
