That even if you think your alone someone will come and poke you on the shoulder and wonder why your all alone. Then your not alone!

I have to admit that has happened to me so many times in my life...

There is always someone more fucked up than you.

And no matter what happens, it will usually get better.

The people you hate will die eventually.

Friends will be there for you.
1. Someone has to be most fucked up, don't they? I feel bad for that guy.

3. By my hand? That would be pretty comfortable. :) /eviljoke

4. What if you have no friends?

Sorry, man, I'm cynical by nature. :( Though I don't mean to insult you or anything.

OT: Whan you think you are the only one, you're not. Someone, somewhere, has experianced what you are experiancing right now.

I'm sure there's holes in my idea, too.

Ya know what? Maybe I should just go over to the "Uncomfortable Truths" thread and stop harshing everyone's mellow here.

Seriously though, you aren't dead. Billions of other people are. And that means you're in the minority, and thus, a rebel. Everybody loves a rebel. Especially a rebel against death. You are awesome, aren't you?
Niiiiiiiiiiiice.

Anyway:
No matter how weird you think you are there are ALWAYS peoplee out there who is just as weird. Therefore, you are not weird.

How about the fact that you are a human being?

Think about it. Did you do anything to be born a member of homo sapiens? You could've just as easily been born a snail, or a lizard, or a naked mole rat. Hell, there are an estimated 10 quintillion insects alive on the planet (thats 10 with 18 zeroes), and only 6 billion humans. If you're reading this, you hit the species jackpot.

No matter how much you may suck, I exist, and that's enough to balance out every bad thing ever.

For me, despite the fact that there is no overbearing meaning in the universe, we are ultimately FREE!

In as scary, but compelling way IMO

No matter how bad the world gets or how close the human race comes to disaster "One more time", There's always something to look forward to, even if it's just the small comfort of your home, or loved ones.

Now to finish this out, Insta-comfort:

You are never the only one.

In the immortal words of Modest Mouse "Bad news come, don't you worry on where it lands. Good news will work its way to all them plans."

and

"Oh it would of been, could of been worse then you would ever known."

Also, I love you guys. I'm.... having some troubles, but this is making me feel so warm and fuzzy inside! *HUGS!*

You don't live in the 1600's. Thanks to the wonders of the modern era, if you're an Atheist, a D&D player, a collector of fetish pornography, or just flat out different from the norm, you're probably not going to be killed for it. At worst, you'll be silently judged by people who disagree with you, as opposed to being burned at the stake for being a heretic.

Also, if you come down with a nasty cold or flu, it's probably not going to kill you. You'll be miserable for a couple of days, but as long as you take the right medicines and get some rest, you'll come away from it more or less unscathed. Back then, you could look forward to a long, painful death, probably infecting the others around you.

If you really think about it, much of 21st century living is a pretty comfortable truth.

The world is a safer, healthier place now than at any other time in human history.
For some people.
For most people. Unless you're actually in a war zone, technological and social advances have vastly improved your quality of life. Polio was once a truly terrifying disease, and it is gone now. Violent crime has fallen to new lows. Most of the world's strongest countries are also among its freest, and they at least try to stop atrocities elsewhere instead of ignoring them. The best places a century ago were better than the worst now, but the worst now are far better than the worst then.

That for all the horrible and simply stupid things humanity has done throughout history, ultimately we strongly advance.

On a more personal note, that Daniel Amneus's arguments can be crushed and burned by a simple understanding of statistics (perhaps the factors creating some single mothers also create the criminals?) and zoology (many less intelligent mammalian species have societies to an extent. It's not a large leap to think more intelligent creatures might naturally create more advanced societies, incorporating our ability to invent stuff). If you don't understand the above (which you don't), look his stuff up.

I will quote my motto: Life is good when it doesn't suck.

The most genius motto ever created? Perhaps.

Also:

Attention, Short guys everywhere! There will always be a man shorter than you! Then you can beat them up because you are larger than them! There will always also be odd women who have fetishes for short guys, so that's cool.

2012 won't happen. Where the hell is 2012 Won't Happen?

The Biebs will go away eventually. After he is murdered by a giant monster water bottle.

The fact that no matter how alone I feel, God is always there with me. And the fact that after death, there is still life.

If you have access to the internet, odds are your life isn't so bad if you don't look at it pessimistically.

Odds are, if you don't look at life needlessly optimistically, you can realize what is bad and make it better.

*****, I am stealing that quote, but just out of curiosity: did you create that comforting truth yourself, or take inspiration/perhaps STEAL from a certain person?
