One thing that would royally piss me off about TS4 is if they take the route of all games these days and make the multiplayer online-only and disable bots. Somehow, I doubt this will happen.

Speaking of the bots, I wouldn't mind a (TS2-only player here) tweaking of their AI...seriously, days spent fightin' the computer at Training Facility (place with the two bases), I've seen the computer set the bots to follow each other on a linear path....seriously, it was like a line of ducks, 'cept with bullets and death.

So yeah, some improvements would be kinda...appreciated, mix things up so I don't have to fear JUST Capt. Night outta the majority of the bots.

LOL I had the same thing happen to me whenever you didn't put any weapons on the field. Both teams would form lines until they ran into one another. They'd then procede to punch each other to death until one team won. Then they'd run off and repeat the whole process all over again. I also remember me and my friends making up stories about the matches. His Calamarian Empire armed with crossbows and bricks was always going up against my Snowman Rebellion wielding electro-tools and flamethrowers. Or me and him desperately trying to assualt a base held by 10 Sgt. Cortezes by ourselves with only with pistols and the occasional rifle.

Read that paragraph above. Now think of another game series where things like that can happen. Can't think of any huh? That's what I thought. I loved playing all the different modes like assualt and virus(I think thats what it was called). No other FPS out there now adays have any fun modes like that. Mostly they just have deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag. Occasionally they'll have a zone conqueoring mode or a mode were one team is trying to complete an objective while the other team trys to stop them, but you don't get some of the wacky stuff like flame tag, vampire, gladiator, or monkey assistant. You know what, I think I'll go play some soon.

It does indeed. In fact, goldeneye started this, on it's very first mission in fact, so rare/free radical have a long tradition of giving you a cool twist on higher difficulties.

I had so much fun with all of the TS games. The multiplayer was a blast with 4 people crowded round a TV. Way more fun had with that than any online shooter I have played since.

I think the mapmaker would be even better if as well as the original blueprint mode it also featured an ingame forge type mode.

Ah Timesplitters, definitely one of my all time favorite shooter franchises. It is the Burnout of shooters, fun even for those who normally dislike that style of game.

Besides, how many other FPS's allow me to dual wield Tommy-guns in a Wild West setting?

TimeSplitters was and still is the shit. And i'm amazed that no other FPS i know of have an "Elimination mode".
Also, the Nightclub music from TS2 is true music genius.
