Thistles and Weeds is a great song

OT: The lighting of the torches in Return of the king always makes me shiver just because the scenery is breath-taking. That and the fact that I love the score for the LOTR films.

I get chills in Films and books mainly, not really games (Unless its Amnesia, Dark Descent and thats because im feeling terrified).

Edit: The books I recall getting chills from are Darren shan's Vampire or Demonata books. and Films, I think I got a Massive case of "the tingles" from "The descent" where the evil cave monsters first appear.

Oh and Welcome to the escapist Malty Milk Whistle :)

I know this feeling well. Some (very very few) pieces of music send a shiver down my spine, but the only movie that I know of that has a similar effect is The Return of the King with the Rohirrim horn sound, Theoden's speech and the charge. (On a side note, I think the horn of the Haradrim is one of the coolest sounds I've ever heard)

I laughed so hard when i saw the title of this thread, call be childish but i just found it funny.
Anyway...
Actually, nothing.
Nothing really... call me hard to impress, but i can't think of anything right off the bat, and when i do find something, i replay it so often that it begins to just get samey.

The opening sequences from Star Wars IV and III.

And when my flight instructor purposefully put us into a stall and subsequent spin, because as he put it "You're gonna need to experience this so you don't freak out if it happens when you don't mean for it to".

A Hermit's Cave
The music when the Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman double up and broadside the crap out of the Endeavour in aWE.

Some pieces of music... like Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture... the Overture to Handel's Messiah... and several others, mostly Bach's solo violin music...
Books can make me blub, but not 'tingle'...

As for games... nah, nothing doing there, a different form of entertainment going on there...

For songs its gotta be Lose Yourself by Eminem, Broken Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley, Through The Roof & Underground by Gogol Bordello and most good pieces of classical music (violins and bass seem to be the biggest culprits).

For films its gotta be the Presidents Speech from Independance Day (the only good thing about the whole movie) and the whole run time of the latest Sherlock Holmes movie (my god it was good!).

In books its tough to think of many, but in The Gentlemen Bastards series whenever Locke outplays people through nothing but sheer blind luck I cant help but punch the air.

EDIT= More music- alot of the stuff by the Devil Makes Three and Mumford & Sons.

World War Z, every goddamn story in that book played on some emotions.
Also Amnesia/Penumbra, of course, sent shivers up my spine.

A lot of music gives me the tingles, a recent example would be this song, starting at around 1:20 ish. The way the song changes is just awesome.

Also, the ending of this song where Clopin hits those insane notes - every time. Still Disney's best music and film, in my opinion.

Also, this.

Personally I also get some tingles (also known as ASMR, btw) from listening to people whisper or talk quietly sometimes. It's a weird phenomenon, but a fun one!

Actually, one bit that never fails to get at me is when the Flying Dutchman makes her first appearance in aWE, when the ship crashes to the surface, gunports open and proceed to kick pirate ass... that theme is repeated quite a bit, and it's quite poignant, I think.
