I used to collect Tomb Kings so this looked good to me. Made me go to GWs site to see how much a couple boxes of Ushabti would cost me as they were always my favourite and I was told they were now in plastic with options for bows. Then I was sad to learn that GW don't seem to sell any Tomb King stuff at all now.
Yeah, they blew up Warhammer Fantasy a while ago. The End TImes ended with the whole world consumed by Chaos and a few survivors like Sigmar, Nagash, and others setting up elsewhere. Tomb Kings were not one of the factions that made it out.
"The factions that made it out" might better be phrased "everyone who wasn't Brettonian or Tomb Kings", though. Though the Empire Knights got left behind with the Bretonnians, the humans went pedestrian, barring a few characters and people riding weirder animals than horses.

(You could sorta make a Tomb Kings army, sorta, but it'd just be skeletons, the way a Bretonnian army would just be Free People archers)

Still think this kind of DLC is too expensive. Will be waiting for a sale.

So did the tomb kings get the axe in Age of Sigmar? I can't find any of their models on the online store...
Yes, they did. You can still use your old models because the rules are there, but they don't sell the old range anymore.

Boo! Just when my friend and I are going in on a Thousand Sons army together, and would love some Egyptian daemon princes...

Pretty excited. I briefly played TKs in 7th before trimming back my armies. The Southlands in the Total War campaign always felt really weird without them and the game never felt right honestly. It'd be like Bretonnians beong represented by Empire in the first game.

...Nothing in the Tomb Kings roster would fit among the Thousand Sons:

What? This guy: http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Necrosphinx is a gold mine for Defiler parts and Daemon Prince parts.

Well to be fair I too wish certain 40k units were added to Fantasy like:

The Ork Squiggoth for the Greenskins (Yes Squiggoths don't exist in Fantasy)

The Eldar Avatar of Khaine for the Dark Elves (I mean the most technical thing we have is Orion of the Wood Elves being the Avatar of Kurnous)

And something like the Sisters of Battle Living Saint for Bretonnia.

Wait Squiggoths can't be in Fantasy?! They're literally dinosaurs with saddles! Even LOTR have the War Elephants!
And for the Dark Elves, are they of a similar vein to the Dark Eldar? Pro-Slaanesh, or at least not anti? 'cause I can totally see why Dark Eldar can't do Avatars.
And the Bretonnia are like 86ed, yes? They went the way of the dodo bird...poor guys. Love me using them in ambush matches in Total Warhamemr. Calvary really works in eliminating ranged support if you can get there before the canons can set up.

1. Yep no Squiggoths, mostly because well there are alraedy factions that have big monsters, I mean the Lizardmen alraedy has Dinosaurs, and Chaos has the War Mammoths and Greater Daemons, and don't get me started on the Ogre Kingdoms.

The closest comparion the Greenskins have to the Squiggoth is the Forest Goblin Giant Spider monster which has a carriage with little Goblins shooting bows. But fuck that I want a Fantasy version of the Squiggoth.

2. Here's the deal with the Dark Elves and thier comparison with the Dark Eldar:

Out of the way first, Slaanesh always existed in the world of Fantasy, no Elves murderfucking each other because they were bored thus accidenty creating Slaanesh. They do keep that Slaanesh seeks to devour the Souls of Elves because Elven souls are the most magical and thus the most tasty.

As to whether the Dark Elves are pro or anti Slaanesh, mostly anti Slaanesh since most Dark Elves heavily worship Khaine. And the still despise Chaos.

There is however Slaanesh worshippers among Dark Elves Socity, one being the Cult of Pleasure and in older lore Malekith's mother Morathi is secretly a follower of Slaanesh and leads the cult (I still do believe she is a Chaos Lady dedicated to Slaanesh and CA certainly thinks so aswell)
