Frank West - by the time he's leveled to the max he knows an all manner of lethal moves and is also fully capable of using heavy weaponry. He's covered wars, y'know.

A good Eldar player wouldn't allow the bodyguards to still be kicking while the Avatar was prepared to engage the Hive Tyrant, especially since most of the Line of sight rules are gone. Then again I play in a store where the Nid's run in fear because they aren't effective, both the swarm and 'zilla army designs are prepared for when going against them.Ultrajoe said:*yawn*Kovash86 said:Not anymore 4th ed Avatar is a badass he has no equal amongst the large models, except the nightbringer, its those little bastards the Avatar has to worry about, pulse rifles, boltguns, las guns, heavy bolters, and various other cheap multi-shot weapons are his bane I usually spend a squad of fire warriors killing him, or maybe sniper drone teams or railguns (because railguns are funny)Dayantis said:That's why it says for the lolz. Hive tyrant is and always will be the most versatile, cost effective and powerful of the monsters.
Guns, claws, wings, teeth, psyker, tail weapons, retinue of rules-supported meat-walls
Yes, i think that the Tyrant is superior.
Don't tell me about a one-on-one with the Avatar, a good Nid's player would not let it happen, the tyrant would eat all of the other eldar before going in with some Carnifex backup.
Just clearing up a factual error.
Samus takes off her suit or helmet in all of the Metroid games depending on your item collection rate and/or your total gameplay time.Indigo_Dingo said:I remember no eyelashes. Corruption was just the first one where I remember seeing her at all without the suit, so I thought that was what you were referring to.
i don't want to start a race war (aha, aha) but your local nids players are shaming me.Kovash86 said:A good Eldar player wouldn't allow the bodyguards to still be kicking while the Avatar was prepared to engage the Hive Tyrant, especially since most of the Line of sight rules are gone. I would also like to note that a squad doesn't count as a model, it counts as several, so sure you have your bodyguards, I have my wraithlords, who are faster than Carnifex(stupid plural forms) and can only barely be hurt by a bodyguard, also the body guards make the Tyrant more points than an Avatar (well if you want the Tyrant to be effective anyhow) which means they should be able to kill an Avatar, I know that in 40k the points don't always add up but they are normally about right.
I think that if you are going to try and use a bigger picture to start and win an argument you should look at the whole picture, sure a Tyrant and guard is tougher than an Avatar, but they aren't tough enough to take on the rest of the Eldar army, the fact of the matter is that while you are marching across the field the Eldar are shooting you and have made your Tyrant and his team a priority because they are scary and faster than most of the other big scary things in the Nid army list.
