Frank West - by the time he's leveled to the max he knows an all manner of lethal moves and is also fully capable of using heavy weaponry. He's covered wars, y'know.

The nameless one. Half way through the game he thwarts an assassination attempt, on himself, by himself.

Max Payne: He's fallen off of buildings, fallen off a huge cliff, and been shot in the head, but he still finds the energy to mercilessly slaughter mobsters.

That's why it says for the lolz. There's plenty of shite better than an Avatar, Chaos Daemons, monsterous 'nids etc...
Not anymore 4th ed Avatar is a badass he has no equal amongst the large models, except the nightbringer, its those little bastards the Avatar has to worry about, pulse rifles, boltguns, las guns, heavy bolters, and various other cheap multi-shot weapons are his bane I usually spend a squad of fire warriors killing him, or maybe sniper drone teams or railguns (because railguns are funny)
*yawn*

Hive tyrant is and always will be the most versatile, cost effective and powerful of the monsters.

Guns, claws, wings, teeth, psyker, tail weapons, retinue of rules-supported meat-walls

Yes, i think that the Tyrant is superior.

Don't tell me about a one-on-one with the Avatar, a good Nid's player would not let it happen, the tyrant would eat all of the other eldar before going in with some Carnifex backup.

Just clearing up a factual error.

A good Eldar player wouldn't allow the bodyguards to still be kicking while the Avatar was prepared to engage the Hive Tyrant, especially since most of the Line of sight rules are gone. Then again I play in a store where the Nid's run in fear because they aren't effective, both the swarm and 'zilla army designs are prepared for when going against them.

I would also like to note that a squad doesn't count as a model, it counts as several, so sure you have your bodyguards, I have my wraithlords, who are faster than Carnifex(stupid plural forms) and can only barely be hurt by a bodyguard, also the body guards make the Tyrant more points than an Avatar (well if you want the Tyrant to be effective anyhow) which means they should be able to kill an Avatar, I know that in 40k the points don't always add up but they are normally about right.

I think that if you are going to try and use a bigger picture to start and win an argument you should look at the whole picture, sure a Tyrant and guard is tougher than an Avatar, but they aren't tough enough to take on the rest of the Eldar army, the fact of the matter is that while you are marching across the field the Eldar are shooting you and have made your Tyrant and his team a priority because they are scary and faster than most of the other big scary things in the Nid army list.

Duke Nukem... ALWAYS bet on Duke.

If not him, the dude from Bioshock. Illegal drugs, fights cops(robots but who cares), and has interesting ideas on how to treat little girls.

You could never go wrong with Snake though. Solid, not Big Boss.

I remember no eyelashes. Corruption was just the first one where I remember seeing her at all without the suit, so I thought that was what you were referring to.
Samus takes off her suit or helmet in all of the Metroid games depending on your item collection rate and/or your total gameplay time.

Anyway..

IMHO, I don't see Samus as particularly "hard" in the same vein that Duke Nukem or Kratos are. Sure, she's tough enough to blast her way through any space pirate encampment she encounters, but she's not a merciless killing machine. She won't fire on a Metroid hatchling that has not attacked anyone, and will take time to rescue other sentient beings even when the planet is disintegrating around her.

So, my vote goes to Kratos. He's relentless. If getting forward requires killing the last survivor from your favored tribe, letting an innocent fall to his doom, smashing the head of someone who is helping you or even climbing out of Hell, he'll do it. Twice.

Solid. Motherfucking. Snake.

versus kratos? Pfft. He'd sneak right past him, and by the time Kratos even smells him, he'd have a bullet in his head. Against master chief? PFFT! He'd sneak up behind MC, throw some c4 on him. back up, and then blow him to halo 2.

i don't want to start a race war (aha, aha) but your local nids players are shaming me.

If i was going against Eldar i would not pack the tyrant guard, id give him wings and a hell of a lot of attacks.

Don't assume that beating nid's is as simple as lining up and shooting.

If i was playing a competent eldar player (which you sound) id play raveners and lictors, tie up your shooting squads with Close Combat and then run up the field with hormogaunts and genestealers.

The tyrant would fly like a madman at your troops and act as a bullet magnet (every shot at him is a shot not at my gaunts, every nid player is willing to lose the big guys to let the little ones into the fray).

The avatar is ponderous and while he would reap a fearsome toll in my troops (the ones he could catch), he is far too one-track to catch the tyrant built to take him and his army down.

vote for guts, seriously the guy has a 6 foot sword thats about as wide as he is...

AND he has a cannon in his fake arm, yes he only has ONE real arm. the other is a hunk of iron.

he was a mercenary since he was about 5 or 6 and he fights demons (when he was about 20). Who fights demons with swords who dosent have white hair? guts over kratos, kratos has still got some god powers, guts has none and he still tries to fight gods.
