Simply put, it's like this. Conney is sorta just pointing the rifle down at Atticus's head. Even though her father has told her to calm down and that the group is not a threat, she simply said "fuck it I'm already up here."

How did she get their? Well, here's what happened. There was an avalanche and while the others were mostly protected due to Veritas, Damien, and Etrius; Nathan, Caedis, and Atticus were left at the mercy of the snow. Atticus, who if I haven't mentioned REALLY hates snow, nearly has a panic attack and uses a few red capsules to begin tunneling out of what could be a snowy grave. As he makes his way up, he feels his shoulders get heavier. He ignores it out of fear and adrenaline. He get's out of the snow, and the rest is history.
Okay, thought you planned for them to get better acquainted whilst the group was on this level.

Although... *begins whistling*

Hmm, that gives me an idea.
I'm thinking about it...one part of me says "sure, why not?" but another part says, "do not open that can of worms."

So eh. I think I'll leave it to a coin toss.

Though I do have plans for a certain set of characters after reading through some of the earlier post on this thread, doctor.

*whistling*

Sorry for my lack of posts in the last few days, I've been extra busy. I'm leaving on friday for a LARP gathering (if it can be called that) that will last five days, and I've been helping out in the workshop, making equipment we'll need. We're nearly done, so I'll probably have time on wednesday and thursday. Until then (and during my absence) feel free to use and abuse Stonefuse.

Hey, remember how you wanted Stonefuse to gradually get a bit more nimbler and for parts of the group to notice that. Yeeeaah, I just took advantage of that.

Sorry about the long post, just wanted to get things moving. Once we get to the town, I'll describe some locations, set a few things in motion, and leave everyone to their own devices for awhile.
And meet Raynoson, surely.

<spoiler=Esperina>
Character Creation
Name:Esperina (Esper-in-ah) Last name forgotten.

Age & Gender:31, Female

Height & Weight:5'4" 148 lbs.

Appearance:pale skin like an albino, eyes as black as the oceans depths, and bald as new born babe. Average in appearance physically if a bit heavy set and a bit flat. Despite her age she still looks to be in her 17-20's.
Clothing is a large proofed brown cloak, with hood and metal clasp, big enough and deep enough to cover one completely. Beneath are leather pants and vest (soft) with more pockets and clasps/buttons then one would expect, along with simple under clothing of white. Bare foot and bare skinned she looks like a human (not counting skin and eyes).
Her tendrils are squishy and have a texture like a manta ray, while the color and sheen is like that of oil in the rain (puddle).

history:Born on a level infamous for poison she was the spawn of a Geshak and a Human climber. While the levell itself was a massive jungle, filled to the brim with both rare and deadly plant life/insects/etc. the Geshak were the only remotely humanoid species there, compared to "lizard people" and often misrepresented as such, they thrived as traders, guides, and generally being nomadic in their homeland.

Esperina was both premature and a "mutant" due to her half-breed nature, being both scaled and smooth in places and constantly getting sick. unlike her father and his race who were immune to poison and used it even in cuisine, she was still quite vulnerable. Her mother had left both disgusted at the events leading to her birth and the fact she was driven on by her own quest, her wereabouts are unknown.

Her father still loved her and descended the tower with her when his own home-level was killing his one daughter, they spent years traveling together while he told tales and taught her skills in the more peaceful areas of the tower. He would speak of such fine foods, sweet music, and rich culture of his home, but as they both grew older he spoke less of the wonders, and she thought it was because of resentment for having a half-breed under his care.

She began to ask to be taught the ways of the Geshak, desperate to learn more, going so far as to try and improve her immune system to ensure that they could return without fear of her taking I'll. Sadly the more she begged and pleaded and was taught, the more depressed her father got. Until one day he was killed by mercenaries after his blood, a rumor spread of its curative nature, running from them she would later come to work under an Inn/rest house and spent time there learning of who had hired them, and of ways to turn Human.

Later a certain noble would die of fatal food poisoning and the latest cook would disappear without a trace. For Esperina it was an end to an old life and a beginning of a new one, over the years she grew to despise her Geshak half and had finally found a way to turn Human. A climber came to her and told he could grant her wish, in a large cloak (the one she wears today), he beckoned her to meet him at the outskirts of town, when she arrived she was attacked by a monstrosity of black and many limb. She would wake next to the corpse of the man she had met before, naked for the most part she took his clothes and left town, feeling oddly hungry and bee lining to a local farm.

Ravenous she practically fell upon it like a plague, eating animals alive, and crops raw, she only began to notice the difference in her appearance after looking in the water, she had become a monster. Tendrils were bursting from her skin, her hands were claws like Geshak, and her skin showed not a single scale.

She would begin climbing because of this, and would further explore her power as she traveled, as it slowly began to change her.

Reason /things to do:to seek a cure for her affliction, to visit her homeland, to find her mother, and to possibly die.

Personality:A bit scatter-brained or absent minded at times she can still focus on things easily, always willing to help or take a hit for another she is protective (if a bit suicidal) at times for others. Good natured, she still feels depressed and at times can be quiet as a rock, or simple' to chatty, or even batty.

Notable skills:Is a decent cook though a bad eater, and has knowledge of poison and their cures. While at the same time a "taste" from them as well and their counter parts to cure such ailments. In a sense a natural alchemist in poison and cures simply by eating them (being immune to a vast majority helps and improved after her change).
most of her lower and upper body is just skin and black flesh like material of what she considers a parasite. Despite it gnawing at her like a constant hunger she can sprout and regenerate tendrils to latch, crush, harden/stab things, it can act on its own like a reaction, split in to many strands or a single strand, and consume/drink things.
she no longer needs to breath oral or nasaly, or even use the bathroom among other things, while her body seems to store or retain oxygen on its own easily
Strong in general she is easily a match for grown men,
Keen eyesight in light or dark, and can hear through tendrils via vibrations (if a bit fuzzy), while limited sense of sight from them as well.

Equipment-Knives (concealed and in a small pack worn in the small of her back) simple metal and wooden arrangements, one for meat, fruit and vegetables, and a bowie knife basically. a sealed fire kit and emergency torch. Small precious gems, herbs (and poisons) are stored in her pockets in pouch or small bags. a small set of extra clothes, needle and threads. Water flask, and dried goods in metal tin sealed.
So, is this the character you're using? I could've sworn you posted a second character sheet.

<spoiler=Cecilia Cardinalit-Former of the Guild of Cartography>Name:Cecilia Cardinalit
Age & Gender:29-Female
Height & Weight:5'8"-143 lbs.

Appearance: http://tahra.deviantart.com/art/character-study02-294658617 (Minus most of the metal and replace with leather, change the white to brown and add in some actual boots (black) for shoes and you might just get an idea of what I'm aiming for here)
Skin is a pale pallor and hair is black with a clean cut and fine look, it reaches to the back of the neck but most is kept back by a metal hair band.
Eyes are simple brown and facial structure is roughly the same in the image above, a bit flat where it matters (depends on your perspective.
Carries on her back a small single flap satchel.

History:Born in to the established guild of Cartography in one of the safer and larger levels things were put simply as this.
"For something to be conquered it must be known, for something to be known it must be studied, for it to be studied it must be mapped, for it to be mapped it must be discovered
Practically beaten in like religious conviction the guild although well off simply via research and guides still desired a one true Map. One that would cover the expanse of every level and every land from top to bottom. In this quest armies, pilgrimages, and some could call it crusades were made in the name of such. It flourished under successful ventures, but loathed the failures of so many times. They studied magic made maps and moved the very mountains that acted as the foundation for their own society to simply discover and plot.

They went as far as to both change or "improve" those born within the society to make a better Cartographer, and with losses and victories they came to the conclusion of to reach the top and use the power there to hold the tower in mere paper and ink. Group after group was made and sent, armies rose and fell or splintered off in the journey to the top, then came Cecilia and her own party.

From the young age of five she had been taught, affected by, and honed by traditions and education dabbled with magic to improve it all, and like so many of her brother and sisters the Guild was family. Each of their mothers and fathers had done the same in their place, some to lesser levels, others to the top in attempts that never saw there return. She at the age of 27 was chose to be within the honored to attempt to reach the peak of the tower with the quality of each unquestionable in skill. As her group journeyed each with unique skills and common ones for mapping the vast world they traveled, one brought them a fatal error.

To say all were absolutely devote would be against human nature, and changing it required more then magic. Maps created or found could be well prized on the market and were kept more secret the more precious they were, some with laws of destruction should one be captured or dying. They were very maps to empires and riches, alongside grand lands. Even a young group after traversing for a period of time could accumulate worth. So a traitor was revealed and her group split apart and some killed in the events that followed.

After a period of time Cecilia was alone, both in her thoughts and other of her order, thoughts of revenge playing on her mind, combined with a sense of tourism and duty. Knowing if she were to return to any guild outpost she'd be sent back marked as a failure and added to the list of minor duties to attend, and with years before even a remote chance at the Top again, she set off with her own goals, and a desire still to reach the Top.

Reason to be here/things to do: Despite actions in her journey she still had the duty to reach the top and obtain the goal that has plagued generations of the Guild for years on end. At the same time she as a "perfect" example to those around her was a bit more sheltered and enclosed. She has a wander lust and wishes to know the pleasure and the pain that the world has to offer, at the same time she often thinks of her parents and others of her group. The Guild raised children in groups, and her parents were all but a distant memory of a journey.

Personality:Cold and distrusting towards others she still recognizes the times when help is needed or acting so callous might bring more harm then good to her. She doesn't have an exact sense or code of honor as it is very loose, she still holds views of common vices and thinks they are disgusting and uneeded at most times.
With a natural curiosity she can nearly change to someone in pursuit of knowledge and fascination in a more relaxed fashion.
Often split between herself she dislikes complications and prefers simple over intricate, but is not afraid to face either.

Notable skills:Even under a Guild she mostly kept to the bread and butter of the basics in knowledge of mapping, though due to magical intervention she has an impeccable sense of direction and natural map within her mind.
Has minor skills in application of medicine and aid, alongside cooking, survival, languages written or spoken and can be considered a decent jack-of-all-trades.
What she has as her unique skill set is of a magical nature, able to "ghost" her limbs she can create physical phantoms of her body parts to fully function as her own for periods of time. This does not mean her head or body as those are both difficult and useless at times (she has attempted to create phantoms of herself with mixed success in a whole form).
The limbs and other "ghosting" parts also includes use as a shield, armor, or blade.
Her body heals faster naturally and accepts magic well in to her own system to use to purge or repair, this also means she is stronger then average by a little less then twice the average strength. With this in play she suffers from aches and pains in and on her body and recently began to get cases of vertigo and blurred vision.

Equipment:Dried meat, fruit, and bread, alongside the average metal flask are in her assortment along with a few cooking additivest. A small all purpose kit (sewing, fire lighting, and a small knife in a sealed metal tin). Two knives on her belt, simple and with wooden handles and a slight curve for either slashing or stabbing,
A common travel cloak for weather protection with hood and warmth and a spare set of clothing simply made. Her armor is mostly comprised of leather and chain mail concealed underneath.
She long ago ditched her paper and other writing aids asides from a pen. A pretty thing used as an all purpose marker to say she is in the guild. Made of smooth almost obsidian entwined with gold and silver to be easier to hold and decorate, it is difficult to break and is capable of use as a shank. It also on the other end is a small glass tube with a semi-luminous creature that when shaken enough generates a light bright enough to write with. Replaceable and removable Cecilia's has long sense been dead and is kept as merely aesthetic.
Some points left blank for the sake of mystery and action if ever needed as a result.

There we go! Alright, she'll be in in no time.

Excellent then, I can't wait and hope that there will be no more fish squid beasts things.
Trust me, not for awhile.
Thank Cod, I couldn't stand another hook like that along the line of story, that was a bit of a sinker. In really does come up to scale considering how fishy it was. Either way it was ice of you to throw that in to flounder about with the rest of the group. I guess it'll tide everyone over with city/town moments, you snow?

The whole group was exhausted and a bit shaken by the creature's sudden death, but Zavier simply stared at Stonefuse. Most of the group figured that Stonefuse had somehow beaten the monster and were slightly surprised, but only Zavier had seen what the golem had done. "Hmm, maybe I should keep an eye on this one as well." He thought.
AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, now I wanna know what Stonefuse did :(

You know, I can only play along for so long without knowing what happened. If you want to keep it secret, just PM me.

He can fuse with solid objects. Wood is solid. The only questionable materials would be the ones that are in-between, so to speak, like ice.

Well, in the LONG ASS POST I made, I actually display what Stonefuse did. He moved faster than he had ever gone before, dodging and overpowering the creatures tentacles as well as managing to launch himself out of water, something he couldn't do back in Minalca without the aid of Atticus's tornado traps. No one else saw this, except Zavier, who seems very interested in the abilities of his comrades For some ominous and unknown reason, bluhbluhbluhbloooooo!

Which reminds me, when was the last time Arrogancy (Zavier) posted? He hasn't been here since the 20th...oh boy, is he gonna be confused when he get's back.

Anyway, welcome to town. And yes, I already posted that picture but hear me out. You call it laziness I, I call it foreshadowing! Now, I'm just gonna give us some time to get adjusted, have Conrad list a few locations and stuffs, and leave you to your own devices.

So, Naut, when are you going to begin those plans for a certain of characters? You know who I mean.

Ah yes, those. Well my good sir, let me tell you!

...I am just making it up as I go. But its there, in the overall scheme, I just don't want it to come out of nowhere.
