"Like a minotaur could learn how to cook a stew." Steiner said sarcastically, he then lifted up his many shackles. "Do I really look like I could do anything now? Also with the way you people portray minotaurs in this society I'm surprised you'd even bother to think I'd be able to remember anything for almost a full minute." He said, barely holding back his seething rage.

As Gary was climbing down he heard talking and stopped, he climbed up once more, but this time stopped right under the window, listening.

"Uh, I didn't mean to offend... [sub]Oh, Gawd he's gonna grind my bones to make his bread.[/sub]"
"Any questions before you go?"
"How many bodies were missing, again?"
"All of them."
Shiloh was taken aback.
"Y-you're positive?"
"Yes, as impossible as it seems. My best guess would be a gang of powerful wizards, ressurecting the dead for protection from Witchhunters."
"Th-thi-this is just ridiculous! Send me to the dungeons why don't you, it's a better alternative to certain death!"

Steiner leaned over to quickly and hit him with one of his horns. "Like hell it is! They've already been DEAD. We could probably shatter them like they were made out of hollow wood!" He then turns to the 2 guards. "And for the record, if my fellow inmate here is to combat this threat he'll need a magic license. Now let me go so I can mentally plaster your faces onto that of a zombie and deal with your problems."

After what felt like hours, Al was finally able to pull himself free from the dirt that had pinned him down. He then put his now very beaten up hat back on his head, and proceeded to dig out his weapons. Once he had unearthed them and put them away, he hopped out of the half- collapsed grave, ready to return to his hotel room and put this night behind him.

Are the guards still at the graveyard?

The guards ran off, but now the Blank and the others are there.

Blank approached the three, unshackling Shiloh and Nual, cautiously approaching Steiner. He stopped short of freeing him before turning back to the Daylins with an expression of fear and desperation.
[sub]"Really? Do I have to?"[/sub]
Daylin Corvada responded with a stern leer.
[sub]"Oh Gawd..."[/sub]
He freed Steiner taking a quick few steps back.
"Unfortunately, I can't give your bemuttonchopped friend a liscence until he deals with his community service."
"Why not?"
"It's the law, if we just started handing liscences out willy nilly, there would be anarchy! Deal with your service and then we'll see about getting you a liscence."
"He seems like a good person, it's not like he was fighting for no reason, he was defending another person from certain mutilation. I say let him have it."
"Yes, it's the quickest way to deal with the wizards, send another wizard after them.
"I wouldn't think of handing him the right to blow everything up as he pleases!"
"Actually, I only need an Alpha liscence, I'm quite garbage with everything else."
"What? So you can raise the dead and drain the very life from people? Forget it, we've already one dangerous mage running around, we don't need another."
"He risked his life to save someone he doesn't even know from a horrible beast, no offense, kind sir. Doesn't that show you his good intentions? I doubt he'd do anything so insane."
"It's two to one, give the man his liscence."
"No, certainly not, I handle the magical affairs, and I refuse to give out a right to raise the dead when there's already an army of ghouls out there!"
"You would subvert the entire system to put your mind at ease? If you won't grant it I could convince the second highest authority on Triadry to give him a liscence.
"Very well, I hereby grant what'shisname the--"
"Shiloh, sir."
"Right to practise all forms of Alpha magic in self-defense and the defense of others. It's not every day I had an A liscence out, you know."
The Daylin scrawled something down on a piece of paper and handed it to Shiloh.
"Gawd I hate him. The second he screws up, I'm revoking that liscence.
Yes, I finally got it! If I could see the look on mother's face! Gawd I hate her...
An hour later they were at the scence of the crime, Blank shaking in his boots every time Steiner turned to face him, or walked past him.
"Okay, I've b-been ordered to stay with you until you have his tr-trail, at which point I will r-relinquish your weapons to y-you."
Beads of sweat were rolling off his brow, despite the bracing cold. He noticed out of the corner of his eye someone crawling out of the dirt.
"Oh Gawd, more zombies!"

"Ah! Zombies!? Where!?" Al instantly reached for his sword and wheeled around, having forgotten until that very moment about the open grave behind him, and fell back in. "Oh, not this crap again." He brushed the dirt off and stood up, looking back at the others, and seeing someone he immediately recognized. His eyes widened as he pointed at the minotaur. "I-it's you!"

"Oh you're human... What exactly were you doing in that grave, this is a crime scene."
"Does it matter? We're here to solve a crime."
Shiloh walked away, scouring the area. He caught the scent of rotten and charred meat and was caught off guard by the sight of the dead guard, a large hole in his chest and obvious signs of Omega magic.

Well thats troubling "Looks like that poor bastard bought the farm." At that moment Nual saw several depressions in the ground. "Hey lookit these indentations! Must have been where that crazy guy threw down his smoke bomb. I betchya' he's the one raising the dead."

Al hopped back out of the grave, and responded to the man's question. "Well, I was following him," Al gestured to the minotaur, "with the intent to stop him from killing a guy who threw slime at us. Warm, viscous, slime..." Al shuddered briefly before continuing. "So, anyway, by the time I had caught up to them, a melee had broken out. It was when some kind of explosive went off nearby that I decided I should stay out of it, so I dove into a grave, that one," Al pointed to the grave behind him, "When it collapsed, partially, on top of me. Eventually, I managed to free myself, and that's about the time you showed up." Al folded his arms and looked around. "So... yeah, not one of my better days."

As the group walked out of the room, Gary stalked one of the Daylins, Daylin Corvada. He was looking for a way to corner him and give him a warning and his demands.

Daylin Corvada stepped into the library, glancing around before approaching a bookshelf at the back of the room. He grabbed a rather particular book and pulled, taking a step backwards as the bookshelf creaked open, revealing a hidden passage. He slipped in, the wall slamming shut behind him.

"I doubt it, why would he return to the scene of the crime just to cause more trouble? He'd just increase his chances of being caught."
He crouched near the body, examining the injuries. The impact area was near perfectly circular, and had burned right through the bone.
"I'll be damned if this isn't a demon's doing."
Shiloh stood up, he could run now. He had the liscence, and there was nothing stopping him from dashing off into the forest when no one was looking.
"Guys, you might want to see this."

Steiner walked over to the corpse and knelled down on a knee. "Hmmph, first undead and now a demon? There's a line where I'm doing community service and I'm becoming a god-damn paladin." He said getting up and drawing his axes out. "Everyone put your guard up, we may be dealing with something in a few moments."

As Corvada slipped into the passage, Gary crawled in with him, careful to avoid his eye, when he
knew that they were alone, Gary aimed his sword's handle at him, and squeezed it, causing a sharp barb to shoot out of it. The barb was covered with a sleeping medicine that was so strong that one drop was enough to knock a person out for an entire night.

"Gach!"
The Daylin attempted to grab onto a nearby wall, slipping and falling down the flight of stairs. He landed at the bottom, catching the attention of the man guarding the door behind him. He drew his cutlass and cautiosly proceeded up the stairs.

"Aren't demons just fairy tales to scare little childrens to behave?"
"Aren't minotaurs, too?"
Shiloh pointed towards Steiner.
"The point is I don't think any regular mage could do something like this. I might sound stupid saying this, but I read a book once about the old days, when much of the world was ruled by a king by the name of Zrofgvuk. Supposed to have so much magical power he could cast a near perfect fireball before he could grow a beard. Conquered most of everything, took ninety eight wives, had ninety three of them sent to the chopping block, and had only one son. That son was just as strong as Zrofgvuk, he killed his father and took everything of his father's, even his wives. This went on for about two hundred years until somebody snuck into the palace and castrated the king, so ended the terrible bloodline and The Court was formed to replace the him. Probably why Daylin Corvada's so weary of magic. Anyways, the last Zrofgvuk supposedly nailed every peasant girl he saw, so there's a good chance there's a bastard running around with enough power to do something like this. Call me crazy, but I think that might be our culprit."
Shiloh was prepared for the chorus of laughter sure to follow.

Shit I thought I was alone Gary drew out his pistol, but also began loading another dart into his sword. He then removed and turned off all light sources near him to hide him as much as possible.

The guard was caught in darkness, he stepped backwards, hitting the door with his elbow. Two more armed guards exited the room, one holding a lantern and another holding a large blunderbuss.
"Come out with your hands up and we might not kill you!"
"Don't say that you dolt, he'll never come out."

"Yeah, but then again these are just possibilities."
Shiloh turned to Blank.
"You mind going into town and getting us a magnifying glass?"
"Actually, I'm not supposed to leave you alone."
