You know this whole attitude I'm seeing about truth does stir some interesting memories for me anyway:

"What is truth?" retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, "I find no basis for a charge against him."

So... What happened next? Oh right...

Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

... I think that's clear enough. Just in case:

But Jesus remained silent.

The high priest said to him, ?I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.?

?You have said so,? Jesus replied. ?But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.?

Yeah. This attitude is far from original...

"See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction."
for, "Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm--shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted--twice dead.
But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"
This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God?s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, ?It is finished.? With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: "Not one of his bones will be broken," and, as another scripture says, "They will look on the one they have pierced."
So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.
"But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. "All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, you worm Jacob, little Israel, do not fear, for I myself will help you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
Then He said to me, "Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day. The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says.' And whether they listen or fail to listen--for they are a rebellious people--they will know that a prophet has been among them. And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious people; open your mouth and eat what I give you."

Well, it seems my plan to fool all of the Xanatos Gambit-users into coming to one thread at once time has worked.

*Blows up entire thread with depth charges fired from THE MOON!*

THE ANSWER IS ALLLLLLLL OF THEMMM
That's one thing that the OP forgot to mention: when spreading your truth, you must always keep a Speech & Debate 101 handbook so that you can list off every fallacy your opponent has made regardless of if they actually made them or not.

What's really funny is just how true this statement is...for the real truth about internet discussions is that we are all - every last one of us - nothing but random jackasses bleating incoherently at one another. Chances are you don't know - and will never know/meet - the person you're speaking with on the internet...sooooooo why the hell should you care about what they have to say/what they believe? Why should they care about what you have to say/what you believe?

Godwin'd, Ad Hominem and an argument from ignorance. What's next, are you gonna start Begging the Question when you Shift Goalposts with some Circular Reasoning to wiggle your way out of the Burden of Proof?

Your logic is inferior to mine, as I quoted more fallacies.

Therefore my position is superior to your position.

Nope, I refuse.

You seem to be completely misrepresenting my people. The following links should help you understand our struggle:

the second photo is clearly staged, and the fourth merely proves my point further.

And a pussingtonpost link? Really? What's next, Kittipedia? So biased it hurts.

We all know how cats really are, and you can't hide that fact. This guy I saw on Reddit once said a friend of a friend of his got scratched by a cat. That means they're all horrible.

And if a Redditor said it, it must be true.
Well that depends, how many upvotes did he get? 'Cause as we all know, you can totes rely on upvotes as a metric to judge a post's worth. There's no way that system can be abused.

Nope.

No way.

In end it doesn't matter what you believe or what you do or say in the slightest be polite be a troll who gives a fuck? The reality is the devil is in all of us and your choice is submit to the sarcastic bullshitting or believe in something better. It's the only choice you'll ever have.

I've made mine. You will not change it. Go ahead and make yours. To reiterate everything I've spent a real long time repeating the choice is death or life in that order.

I'm afraid that's the Argument from Fallacy, just because Fappy's argument has fallacies doesn't mean their conclusion is wrong.

So I win, you can all stop arguing now.

How anyone could fail to notice that the OP is literally swimming in it's own hypcocrisy is beyond me. He basically just said not only don't believe a word I say... He said you can never ever believe anything I nor anyone else says... EVER. How this even got one response let alone stayed open for replies I'll never understand...

Did you seriously not read the OP and start posting bible quotes in the thread before just now realizing there may be an issue with the first post? Which is clearly facetious in nature anyway?

Did you seriously think I was responding to the OP and not simply the issues he raised which clearly had to have come from somewhere? Ignorance is not strength. Stop pretending it is. Strength is defined by weakness and if you can't understand helping the weak is the only thing that defines the strong no one can help you. It's the only way to get stronger.

But he said to me, ?My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.? Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ?s power may rest on me.
You already responded to the thread, several times, and just now you are noticing the internal inconsistencies in the OP. It really seems like you just skimmed, posted bible quotes and only later actually read the OP. Like, its just weird that you have this revelation now, well after already having contributed what you were going to contribute.

The statements regarding ignorance, helping the weak, and the bible quote are basically non sequitur.

I only just decided what I was going to do about it. Unless you have a problem with me speaking my mind as well? I've noticed that a lot around here. I'm starting to think people around here lack empathy on a fundamental level. What else can I do about it on the internet except just leave knowing how the majority value ignorance and harassment over knowledge and learning? Like I said if you can't help the weak you can't by definition be strong and attacking the intrinsic weakness of others is the most pathetic act imaginable, literally the definition of lacking empathy.

I may not like it but that's just the way it is. Sue me. I don't go around pretending I have all the answers...

I simply say what I think knowing what I think is lesser than the greater truth of any situation. If I felt the need to deceive anyone wouldn't I find somewhere more profitable than a random internet forum to do it in? Whatever I'm pretty sick of being called a liar anyway by ignorant people who fail to understand not only the nature of lies but their own nature.

What is it about the truth that frightens people so much? Could it be the lie itself? That people are just more comfortable being deceptive...? That's my theory anyway. My own levels of comfort are not exceptional at the moment for the record. I find myself believing this is going nowhere and fast. I can't see how any response to what I've said could be anything other than non-sequiter. Either that or applause. Hold on that shit.

I think you need to step away from the forums for a little while. You're acting as though people are chasing you around pitchforks for what you believe in, despite the fact that you don't even seem that clear on what you believe in. All I did was seek an explanation for your sudden revelation that seemingly had zero relevance to what you had previously been posting. I could have done it in a more friendly way, sure, but this kind of reaction is more perplexing than anything else.

Its hard to empathise with something I have no understanding of, particularly when it involves accusations of ignorance? And attacking the weak? Somehow? None of which seems to have much of a basis in anything I've said. You claim not to know all the answers, while simultaneously accusing me of ignorance because I don't... I think its because I don't put much value in your bible quotes?

I have no idea what you're talking about, and I have a feeling I'm not even the person you're talking to - just a wall for you to shoot some ideas your struggling with at.

OK let me try explaining to you exactly how I perceive things... The Lord our God is like a mirror and everything apart from that is non-existant from that perspective. Whatever you are feeling you are shooting directly at him so when you express negativity though you may not feel it at the time it is nonetheless instantly reflected back at you though it may take a while for you to perceive it properly. This essentially is what the devil is, like the sword of our God, but gone rogue. What I believe in is the Lord Jesus Christ. He took this sword for all of us at once and effectively became all of us at once. All the stress you feel and express therefore goes through him and he judges you for how you respond to it.

Essentially the devil wants to replace the Lord but the Lord will not die and is one with all of us so whenever we express negative feelings against him this is the devil using us against our own creator which is as crazy and astonishingly confusing as it sounds.

Basically Jesus was made an example of to show both the power of the devil and the unwillingness of the Lord our God to die. As for everything else you're saying it is in fact non-sequiter to me. Although I feel a lot of the same things you've expressed. Kind of like a mirror.

Okay, but I don't believe in God, I'm pretty sure Jesus existed but as not much more than a well spoken Jewish Egyptian, and I'm iffy on the Devil. I'm still not clear on the whole ignorance/weakness thing, unless you mean that people who don't believe as you do are ignorant or weak - which while offensive would at least clear some stuff up. I'm still by and large unclear why you are telling me this though.

Well I could ignore you now and you started the conversation if you remember but that doesn't mean I'm unaware of your feelings. Remember, like a mirror, everything outside of that mirror is non-existant. The Lord our God does not take responsibility for the acts of those under the devil; only his own chosen servants the prophets and those who earnestly repent and seek Jesus out as he speaks through the prophets. I remember before I used to get a fire in my belly everytime someone disagreed or argued with what I said provoking me. It's gone now and I believe that fire is the influence of the devil so be on your guard for it and do not respond to it. I know it seems difficult but all the love you show the Lord is reflected back at you as well and rewarded if you are patient with the devil. The fire is truth and the devil holds the power but not the keys which are in the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Just forget all that for a second and think what you just did. Who are you trying to convince? It does amaze me the ability of many to speak into echo chambers albeit without realising. I'd guess the internet does that by creating the illusion of solitude around you. This is not real. It's best to consider it all a test. The only real test worth taking.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. I asked a question and I'm becoming more and more perplexed by the frankly bizarre answers I'm getting. One of the clear problems I'm having is that you keep using bible quotes and biblical analogies to try to make your point, and I do not understand them - this is not an insult or an attack, I simply have no education on the bible beyond learning about how Job got treated like shit so when you do this, I'm left completely in the dark. I have no idea what you think I just did.
